Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 192 - The End.

Aerion raised his Heaven Absorbing Silver Claw and scattered his silver scales to his fallen companions. Then he swiftly shattered Izanami's chains before turning back to the Transcendent Being.

"So this is how pain feels like... strangely enough, I find it quite the pleasurable feeling. Don't you find it to be pleasurable as well, son-in-law?"

"No, I do not."

"Son-in-law... what is that about?" Izanami inquired.

"But you love the thrill of battle... is it not the same thing? Battles lead to pain, after all." The Transcendent Being laughed as he noticed Izanami's puzzled expression. "Oh, you do not know yet, do you? Well... to put it simply, your father was an extension of myself and you were created by me. So, I may as well be your father."

"Created by you... for what reason?"

The Transcendent Being chuckled. "Is it not obvious? To further push the Dragon, of course! That was your sole purpose and you completed it most splendidly."

"I see... you managed to do one good deed for me, at the very least." Izanami's hair turned white as she used Izanami-no-Okami's strength.

Aerion looked at Izanami and she nodded. He immediately withdrew the Eternal Heaven Pearl.

'I, Izanagi-no-Okami, reject your divine authority.'

"Oh, my-"

The Transcendent Being froze for a moment as Izanami used her eyes to cast the most powerful genjutsu. The illusion was already terrifying on its own but it reached an entirely new realm of power under the assistance of Izanagi-no-Okami. It was the same case with Aerion's use of Izanagi... in essence, the two were far more formidable together rather than alone.

'This moment will become eternity for you.'

Aerion immediately activated the Eternal Heaven Pearl and used Izanagi, spreading its time-warping abilities to the entire throne room. However, it was used in a rather biased way... especially towards the people involved. Aerion slowed down the Transcendent Being and extended the time that he would be able to absorb him.

'Even if it only works for a second, it becomes a thousand seconds with the Eternal Heaven Pearl.... if not more.' Aerion smiled as he threw the Eternal Heaven Pearl into the air and caught it. 'So you do have some use for me, after all.'

Without wasting any time, Aerion exploded towards the Transcendent Being and placed his Heaven Absorbing Silver Claw on his c.h.e.s.t. The silver scales on his left arm spread to the Transcendent Being's entire body as he absorbed as much of his power as he could.

"Is there anything Izanagi can't do?" Izanami wondered.

"Izanagi is capable of everything with his lady beside him," Aerion replied.

'Damn it... how much cultivation strength does this bastard have?'

If it weren't for Izanagi-no-Okami rejecting reality, then Aerion would have already combusted into smithereens long ago. The true difference in their strength was quite a frightening realisation for Aerion. The gap between the Ancestral God Realm and the Transcendent God Realm was as great as the gap between a non-cultivator and a Creation God. The Transcendent Being was truly on a league of his own as even the Ancestral Gods were mere mortals compared to him.

While Aerion was absorbing the Transcendent Being, he left the task of merging the other divine legacies with his own to Rotias.

Crack.

The Transcendent Being moved his finger after twenty minutes and pointed it at Izanami, killing her instantly. The silver scales around him shattered onto the ground and destroyed instantly.

"Izanami..." Aerion watched her fall and turn into a pile of ash right before his eyes. Her death was something that even the mighty Izanagi-no-Okami could not reject as the will of the Transcendent Being was much greater.

"Warping reality... you have grown a power that can even trouble me." The Transcendent Being smiled as thousands of swords appeared behind him. "Go on, show me how much higher you have risen!"

Aerion waved his hand and swept aside the swords. "It seems that you still underestimate this Dragon God..."

"Perhaps."

Aerion withdrew every Heavenly Profound Treasure in his possession. He was only missing one; the World Piercer. With a single thought, it appeared before him and now he had all seven Heavenly Profound Treasures. They all floated around him before being drawn into his Heaven Absorbing Silver Claw.

'Become one with me.'

"Oh, my." The Transcendent Being chuckled. "Very interesting..."

Then he drew Blackfyre from its sheath and released it into the air, beginning the reforging process. Star flames surrounded Blackfyre before the properties of all Seven Heavenly Treasures were poured into it. Then Izanagi's naginata was added to the mixture, along with the portion of the Transcendent Being's cultivation strength he did not absorb in time.

As the star flames cleared, the mightiest sword in existence was born.

Its glistening silver blade would make even the brightest star look dull in comparison. The guard was pitch black with a dragon on each side, both of whom were just as dark except for their eyes. One dragon had silver while the other had crimson eyes, reflecting its creator. A gem was embroidered in between these two dragons, at the very centre of the guard. This gem was mostly silver but it would reflect another colour every few seconds. The hilt was silver with patterns of gold, followed by a crimson ruby for a pummel.

Aerion grasped the reborn Blackfyre with both arms and swung it a few times. "Blackfyre Reborn, Sword of Reality, Heaven's Will, the Avenging Star... this sword will be the death of you."

"How intimidating-"

'Star God's Broken Shadow.'

The Transcendent Being created a sword of his own to block against Aerion's slash.

BOOM.

The shockwave from the swing being blocked immediately destroyed all that was left of the Transcendent Being's throneroom. Aerion's crimson scales appeared on both of his hands as he increased his strength drastically, forcing the Transcendent Being to fall backwards.

Star flames gathered around Blackfyre at a rapid pace as Aerion concentrated his divine profound energy into it.

'Heaven Destroying Soul Shattering Slash.'

The wave of star flames went directly past the Transcendent Being's defences and directly towards his soul, dazing him temporarily as Aerion dashed towards him once more.

PIERCE.

Aerion stabbed him directly in the c.h.e.s.t with Blackfyre. Blackfyre glistened and the gem started to shine multiple colours as Aerion made use of all of its various elements. Not only did he absorb more of the Transcendent Being's cultivation strength, but he also released poison comparable to the Life Extinguishing Myriad Tribulations... only much, much more lethal. In essence, he weakened the Transcendent Being while also strengthening himself.

Before he could retaliate, Aerion backed away.

"So you have transcended to some degree... excellent, most excellent, indeed!" The Transcendent Being looked at the wound in his c.h.e.s.t and wiped away the blood. Then the wound healed within a mere moment as if nothing had happened. The aura around the Transcendent Being grew several times over as he released more of his strength.

Black lightning gathered in his left palm before he propelled it towards Aerion. He tried to evade the attack but it was no use. It was far too swift for him.

'Heaven Absorbing Silver Claw...'

BOOM.

His entire left arm exploded. The lightning did not stop there, however. It circulated his entire body and continued to strike him endlessly. The Transcendent Being descended beside him and watched closely. "It's hard to make you scream, huh..."

As new wounds were made, fire emerged and scales were formed to counter them. With every second, the lightning was becoming less and less formidable. Eventually, the Transcendent Being became unamused and sent forth an even mightier wave of lightning. This one would only strike him once, unlike the previous one.

"Will you die, I wonder?"

BOOM.

Aerion was sent tumbling into the distant void of light.

'Izanagi...'

The black lightning turned against the Transcendent Being's will and decided to willingly support Aerion through being absorbed.

"Hmmm, what about this?"

An even mightier wave of black lightning emerged...

...

After what seemed an eternity of being struck by black lightning and fending off the Transcendent Being, Aerion finally felt the gates of the Transcendent God Realm. At this stage, the Transcendent Being wasn't able to kill him so easily (unless he tried) but Aerion could not cause any lasting damage to the Transcendent Being either.

As the fight continued, he came closer and closer as the Transcendent Being pushed him further.

"You fought well but this will be the end of your journey, Aerion Targaryen." The Transcendent Being gathered his boundless profound energy in both of his hands and clapped them together, merging the two frightening forces. The black sphere that came as a result of the fusion was propelled towards Aerion. "Now you shall face Death's Embrace."

There was nothing he could do against this attack except embrace its result...

Death's Embrace went past all of his defences and touched him, spelling the end.

Aerion's body disintegrated within an instant.

~

He floated in his dark inner world alone as everything else had disappeared long ago. His golden Rinnegan had already faded and his eyesight would soon follow. But none of that mattered as he was dead.

'So this is how it ends...' Aerion sighed. 'I finally meet Death's Embrace and truly die, failing everyone who depended on me to succeed in the process.'

The dark void opened, revealing a bright ray of light.

"You have yet to complete your final ambition, Master. You absolutely cannot die until it is complete..."

From the ray of light, a sword descended onto Aerion and pierced him.

'Blackfyre...'

The images of the other avatars and the Ancestral Gods before them appeared. His eyes regained their glow. Following that, both the Crimson Dragon and Silver Dragons released a heaven-shattering roar as they became one.

"One more gate to break open... I, Aerion Targaryen, will shatter it and transcend further...!!!"

Crack... crack... crack.

BOOOOOOOOOOM.

Aerion stepped inside... at last.

Death's Embrace shattered completely, revealing a sphere of silver-crimson light. The first being to transcend into the Transcendent God Realm emerged from this sphere of light. His flaming golden eyes stared into the Transcendent Being, almost piercing his soul.

The Transcendent Being observed Aerion and smiled with pride. "You finally brokethrough... something so many have failed to achieve before you."

Aerion willed Blackfyre to return to him and it fell into his hands. He grasped it tightly as star flames exploded and engulfed the sword. 'Thank you, Blackfyre.'

The Transcendent Being created a sword and charged Aerion. "Still... there can only be one Transcendent Being!"

"Hmph."

Aerion cut through the Transcendent Being's sword with Blackfyre and proceeded to tear him apart with hundreds of slashes. The Transcendent Being tried to defend against the onslaught but he found himself growing weaker with every strike.

"This poison... how could I be poisoned by a mere sword?"

"Hmph, I did not think that you would be so unskillful." Aerion mocked the Transcendent Being. "It is quite embarrassing."

The Transcendent Being attempted to push away Aerion with a wave of black lightning but it was no use. The lightning simply joined with the star flames.

Aerion exploded past him and turned around, cutting off his entire left arm with a single slash.

"Reality is mine to wield now."

Blackfyre's blade glistened and the Transcendent Being's limbs separated from his body, turning to ash soon after. The Transcendent Being willed for his limbs to regenerate but it did not happen. Slowly but surely, his cultivation strength was fading and joining with Aerion.

"As you said previously, there can only be one Transcendent Being."

PIERCE.

Aerion drove Blackfyre through his skull before withdrawing the sword and slicing off his head. As he turned the rest of his body into ash, Aerion looked at the Transcendent Being's last remaining body part.

"What an ugly bastard you are."

Aerion chuckled and destroyed the Divine Palace completely, leaving only darkness. He erased everything in existence with a single thought, except for Planetos itself.

Aerion descended onto his home planet, the outer reaches of Bloodstone to be exact. An entire forest had emerged around his hill. The castle of Bloodstone was no more as nature had conquered it with time. He threw the Transcendent Being's head into the sea.

Aerion stabbed Blackfyre into the hill and relaxed on the grass.

"Rotias... only you, Little Rhae and I exist now."

Rotias coughed. "Ah, wouldn't that be because you just blinked away a countless number of beings from numerous dimensions."

"Yes, I suppose so." Aerion shrugged. "Most of them are of no value to me anyway. I will give them life once more in due time, however."

"How kind of you."

"But... before I get onto that, there is something I'd like to do."

As he had intended, the scenery changed and Bloodstone stood once more. However, it was the Bloodstone of old. Not the one which had grown into prosperity under his reign... no, it was just a castle with a few pirates lingering in its walls once in a while. A castle with no master.

Aerion appeared in Dragonstone and observed the celebrations that had taken place in 280 AC. It was the year Rhaegar's first two children were born... one of those two being a son.

Aerion walked into the room where his newly-born self laid in his crib. His mother had long since fainted from exhaustion. Giving birth was quite difficult, especially with her frail physique. Rhaegar elegantly played his harp, bringing a sense of peace to the entire room.

The two newborns were silent as they listened to the beautiful music played by their father. Aerion observed Rhaegar Targaryen with interest. 'If only you had lived longer.'

"What do you plan to do?" Rotias inquired.

'Give my younger self from this dimension a blessing.'

Aerion touched the forehead of the child and granted him a great blessing, along with a few locked memories on how to utilise this blessing. 'I grant you the blessing of magic, Aerion Targaryen... I'm sure you will use it well. The Night King will prove to be a worthy combatant once you truly spread your wings.'

Aerion turned around and poured some wine onto his father as a jest. He stood up from his chair and started acting slightly paranoid, unsure where in the Seven Hells did the wine come from. He went back in time and did not pour the wine this time around.

"Time to build my pantheon of Gods."

Aerion left the dimension and built his own Divine Palace. Right after that, he returned the other dimensions to how they were before he entered the Divine Palace. The Valyrian Empire of Primal Chaos did not seem to skip a beat in his absence as the heir to the throne took care of matters.

The centre of the Divine Palace was a throneroom with nine different thrones, one for each Ancestral God. It formed a U shape, with his throne at the very centre. The Goddesses were to be on his left and the Gods were on his right, the closest of which being Izanami and Rotias.

Aerion waved his hand and Rotias' original body appeared before him along with some robes.

"There, you can have both now, as promised."

"Hehe, about time!" Rotias' spirit left Aerion and joined with the body. Upon merging, Rotias walked to his throne and sat down in a relaxed manner.

"Your welcome." Aerion chuckled as he sat down on his throne and returned the other Ancestral Gods to life.

'The life of a Transcendent Being should prove to be most amusing...'

~

Jaehaerys rose to the throne five years later, officially becoming the Dragon Emperor. Aerion would descend onto Primal Chaos once in a while, eventually having all of his wives join him in the Divine Palace. The Targaryen Dynasty reigned over Primal Chaos without much issue. There were multiple conflicts between the Targaryens down the line after the death of Jaehaerys III Targaryen, as there always were among those with the blood of the Dragon. With every slight fall, House Targaryen would inevitably rise once more and stabilise itself, however.

In that time, Aerion took some interest in creating and placing a few individuals in several different dimensions. Sometimes he would simply grant someone his blessing and watch them flourish for amus.e.m.e.nt. However, unlike the Transcendent Being of the past, he did not mean ill will for any of his prospects. He would sometimes do this to the Primal Chaos of the present, bringing forth heroes in times of chaos...

The End.
