Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

"Everything is fine, continue the tournament."

"Yes... of course." The announcer continued "As there are no other contestants, the next match will obviously be Tai Xia against Cai Rong."

There was no doubt that Tai Xia would win but everyone knew that Cai Rong could put up a really good fight.

"Another easy victory for the daughter of Tai Wentian."

"You're right, I'm more excited for the semi-finals. Jun Long against Tai Quin would be an earth-shattering fight."

"I don't know, I'd very much like Jun Long to fight Tai Xia..."

"What about Mo Yi?"

"Compared to those 3, he's trash. Tai Shu should've won, everyone knows this simple fact."

"Don't disrespect Mo Yi like that, his match with Tai Shu was very close. I would dare say that they were equal!"

"Whatever floats your boat."

Aerion figured that learning new skills while resting would be better than just resting.

"Oh... you have returned?" The Demon King asked

"That's right, I need some new moves."

"I see... you've come to the right place."

The spectators were right, Tai Xia came out victorious. Cai Rong tried... but she just couldn't compete with Tai Xia. Now, the real fights were about to begin. Only 4 fighters were left; Jun Long, Tai Quin, Tai Xia and Mo Yi. Spectators and Noble Rogue Sect members alike were allowed to vote on who would win the whole tournament. The most voted contestant just happened to be Jun Long with 40% of the votes. Tai Xia was second with 30%, Tai Quin was third with 25% and Mo Yi was last with 5%.

Tai Wentian was inspecting the results.

"Most interesting. Poor Mo Yi with 5%, I hope he doesn't let this vote demoralise him. Then again, this vote does contain some truth..."

"You better wake up... they're going to announce the next round of fights."

"A...already?" A drowsy Aerion asked

"Yes, already."

"Give me a minute..."

Aerion struggled to stand up, but he did it. Immediately, he walked over to the restroom. Once he got there, he washed his face with clean water (from a good old bucket o' water) and looked at himself in the mirror. He rubbed the sleep dust from his eyes and refreshed himself.

Mr Aerion/Jun Long is ready to go!

Aerion returned to his seat.

"So what happened while I was gone?"

"Shu lost to Mo Yi..."

"Tai Shu... lost? And who the hell is Mo Yi?"

"A Noble Rogue disciple..."

"I am most disappointed in Tai Shu, he lost to a nobody. So, how did Tai Quin fair? Did he lose as well?"

"No, Quin won against Cao Li."

"Hahaha, Tai Quin is definitely going to rub it in for years to come! Especially if he beats Shu's opponent in the upcoming round. I guess you won your match, right?"

"Mhm, easily."

"Then... there's a chance we will have to fight each other."

"In that scenario, don't expect me to go easy on you."

Aerion smiled. "I do like a bit of competition."

Then the announcer started to speak again, his profound energy expanding the range of his speech.

"We've had a lot of interesting fights so far... but now the real fights will commence! The first fighters will be..." he dug his hands into the box and grabbed two of the four pieces of paper "Mo Yi and Tai Quin!"

So... I'll be fighting Xia after.

"Good luck against Mo Yi."

Aerion approached Tai Quin before his match had begun.

"You too, good luck against my sister. Though I doubt you'll need it."

"Hahaha, I might."

Hopefully, we meet in the final round...

This tournament is all about conserving energy, as it only lasts for a few hours. I was doing a pretty good job until I fought Tai Dang... oh well, I should still be able to win this.

Tai Quin and Mo Yi went down and faced each other. Aerion relaxed on his chair and spectated the match.

"Who do you think is going to win, my dear Xia?"

"Quin, no doubt."

"Ehh, I think Mo Yi still has a chance... though a very small chance."

"We'll see..."

No... Mo Yi didn't have a chance, no chance at all. When the match began, Tai Quin was a man possessed. Tai Quin was too fast, too strong and too determined. Mo Yi couldn't even hit him, he was completely dominated. Tai Quin didn't show any emotion... his one goal was winning.

"Tai Quin... I've never seen him act like this." Aerion watched Tai Quin

"Me neither."

"Who do you think is winning this one?"

"Jun Long, no questions asked!"

"Keep that same energy, Tai Xia is winning!"

"You want to bet?"

"Yeah, why not. How much?"

"A thousand purple profound coins, if you can afford it!"

"Deal."

"Hahaha, this is easy money! Jun Long, I thank you in advance!"

"You won't be the one laughing when Xia wins!"

Aerion was stretching and preparing himself for the upcoming fight against Tai Xia. Then, in no time at all, the fight started.

"Tai Xia against Jun Long... may the match begin!"

Xia wasn't joking, she was going all out! Once the match started, she used a movement skill to get behind me. Hey, that's my move. I block her sword with my Sky Piercer.

Mighty Wind Slash.

I made her back away.

Star God's Broken Shadow.

I explode right behind Tai Xia without her even noticing.

Firebreath.

Aerion wanted to end the match as quickly as possible... unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. Tai Xia fired a World Destroying Tornado right back at the flames. The tornado absorbed the flames and continued ever forward, trapping Aerion.

Damn it... not this again!

DEMON KING'S EXPLOSION!

"The powers of the Crimson Demon have many forms, not just a wave. One example would be this!"

The Demon King's fragment took out a sword. Not soon after, this sword was covered with black and red flames

"You can surround your weapon... and fire it like this!"

*shew*

*boom*

"That's... interesting."

"Perhaps, you are in a tricky situation... you can surround your entire body and release the flames. Boom, everything around you is gone. The Second Stage of the Demon King's Art is Demon King's Flames... the ability to change the Crimson Demon Wave into anything. Now go, I've said enough."

The Tornado was instantly removed from existence by the explosion. The floor of the arena wasn't looking too good, there was a huge crater where Aerion stood. During his nap, Aerion managed to create his own move; Demon King's Explosion. It's quite simple, everything around him explodes with black and red flames. The Demon King's art... he must really love the colour red and black.

"What were those flames!? Black and red? I've never seen that in my life!"

"I know, right? This Jun Long kid is something else..."

"Where is he from? That's the real question."

"Silver hair... purple eyes, he's the real son of Heaven!"

"Hahaha, I wouldn't be surprised if that was true."

"The future of the Noble Rogue Sect looks very promising..."

"The Heavenly Sword Villa should watch out... Jun Long and the Noble Rogue Sect might be coming for the number 1 spot!"

"You're too excited, there's no way the Noble Rogue Sect is beating the Heavenly Sword Villa ever again. Tai Wentian is one of a kind..."

Of course, per tradition, I had to hit her softly with the shaft of my Halberd. I made sure she landed gently to the ground.

I should've done this before... transform and quickly win, it's a flawless strategy. Apart from the side-effects...

Onto the Finals!

Finally, the contestants were given some time to rest. The spectators wanted to see a good fight, not two teenagers out of profound energy before the match even started. Well... to be fair, Tai Quin looked ready before the one-hour resting period and so did I. It wasn't really necessary... but hey, I got a chance to eat up a good meal which I gladly took.

At the end of the resting period, both Aerion and Tai Quin were fully recovered. The hype around the fight was at an all-time high, people were betting left and right! But there could only be one winner...

"Who would've known... you and me on this stage, competing for first place."

"It's going to be a good fight but, I intend to win."

Aerion's eyes glowed red and both eyes had 3 tomoe.
