Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 51 - Dragon-Rider Saves The Day

Aerion unlocked the door and strolled out. He went down to the ground floor of the Training Pavillion and found Tai Quin sparring Tai Xia. Once he saw their cultivation levels, he smiled. They have made great progress, Aerion thought. Perhaps not as great as mine, but it's still impressive. Tai Xia was at Earth Profound 4 and Tai Quin was at Earth Profound 2. There was a huge crowd of disciples around them so Aerion decided it would be best not to interrupt.

The Heavenly God's Spiritual Veins are the real deal, it seems.

Aerion left the Training Pavillion and flew onto the Mansion. He was greeted with the utmost respect by every Blade he passed. Eventually, he reached his room and unlocked the door. He undressed and took a "leap of faith" into his bed.

"I miss you."

He looked at his pillow and smiled. Then he eased into his bed... seconds later, he was asleep.

~

Aerion got dressed and started to prepare for his wedding. Most of the things were probably already arranged by the Grandmaster, but there was probably one thing he had to do himself. This was to get some nice and fancy clothes! A tailor... ah, he remembered that he's the owner of a certain shop which could provide for his needs. It was relatively far away but with his Emperor Profound 1 speed, enhanced by "Supreme Flying God" (7th stage of Wind God's Art), it should only take two-three days.

Before he left, he entered the Sky Poison Pearl to check on his two pets and Jasmine. Once he saw them, his eyes widened. Rhaegal and Daemon... were ABSOLUTELY COLOSSAL! That wasn't all; they also released an aura equal to that of a Peak Sky Profound beast! He did gather a lot of Sky Profound and a few Emperor Profound cores for them but their progress was still really fast.

"Greetings, father."

"Don't spoil the fun, Rhaegal... it was supposed to be a surprise," Daemon said

"It was still a surprise and your idea was stupid."

"No, you're stupid, you can't even keep your mouth shut for a few days. You had to reveal it the second father appeared."

Rhaegal and Daemon can speak now!?

It took Aerion a few seconds to get over his shock. Both of them could fly with ease and they were large enough to carry a few people. Aerion gave them a Heavenly Cultivation Pill (Emperor Profound) each, hoping that they could break through to the mighty Emperor Profound Realm.

"Stop arguing and eat up."

They did as told, and Aerion moved on. He thought about bringing them outside once they reached the Emperor Profound Realm. It only took him two days to reach his destination, Gold Mountain Town! He walked over to the place called "Heavenly Tailoring".

I hope they haven't forgotten about their owner.

Aerion walked in and instantly recognised the person by the register. He smiled and asked a simple question.

"Where's my manager? I, the owner, would like to speak with him."

Upon seeing the "Silver Calamity", she moved hastily into the room behind the register. In a very quick minute, the manager appeared.

"My lord... welcome back! I've heard so much about your glorious exploits in the Blue Wind Ranking Tournament... you actually came first place!"

"The news spread so far?"

"Of course, everyone in the Blue Wind Empire knows your name! Unless they live under a boulder... they should know the name 'Jun Long'."

"That's good to know... I came here to order something special."

"Not to collect your 'payment'?"

Aerion shook his head, money was almost meaningless to him. "No, I have no need for it. I want something more important... a set of wedding robes for myself. I also want a few certain details added."

"I understand, come."

Aerion didn't know much about robes but he told him what colours he wanted and more specifically, the sigil.

~

"Perfect." Aerion smiled upon seeing the finished product.

It was mostly red, with a few golden dragon patterns. More importantly; a golden three-headed dragon laid on the top left sleeve of the robe. Wedding robes were mostly red with the man having dragon patterns and the woman having phoenix patterns. They also usually used yellow/gold as a secondary colour. The dragon part was easy but the colours... it was hard for Aerion not to say he wanted his robes mostly black with a crimson red dragon. But, to his surprise, he did like how it turned out.

"For such a product, there must be a reward."

"There's no need..."

"You may take my 'payment' for yourself as a reward."

"Thank you."

Aerion put his wedding robes into the Sky Poison Pearl and walked out.

~A day later~

Aerion was close to the Noble Rogue Sect but he didn't want to come back just yet. So he took out Daemon and Rhaegal. Rhaegal extended his wings and so did Daemon.

"Ahh, fresh air." Daemon flew into the sky while Rhaegal stayed behind.

Rhaegal was HUGE, Aerion estimated that he was slightly under a hundred feet tall. Which meant that he was only about 25 feet shorter than Balerion, the Black Dread. Aerion's inner High Valyrian instinct was to jump onto the Dragon and ride it into the skies... and that's what he did!

"Come, Rhaegal, fly!"

BOOM.

There was a large wave of wind which was caused just by Rhaegal taking flight. The wind rushing past Aerion felt comforting and so did looking down at the land beneath him. Daemon was slightly faster than Rhaegal as he sped ahead.

"I wish to visit the Blue Wind Empire's Capital, Blue Wind Imperial City."

"Very well, father."

Aerion felt slightly uncomfortable by the fact that a real Dragon called him father but it was true, Rhaegal was born from his fire. Without Aerion, Rhaegal would just be an egg with a lot of scales. Why the Blue Wind Imperial City? Because it was in between the Noble Rogue Sect and the Ten Thousand Beast Mountain Range, basically a quick stop.

Controlling Rhaegal was very easy (probably), unlike the Dragons which used to inhabit Westeros. This was because Rhaegal could speak and understand his commands. Even if he wouldn't have been able to speak, Rhaegal has a very cold/cool temper which makes him easier to control. Well... soon he realised that this cool temper was exclusive to himself.

~Blue Wind Imperial City~

"Is that a Dragon!?" A civilian asked

"It's huge... must be at least a Sky Profound beast..."

"It must be an Emperor Profound Dragon, no Sky Profound Dragon could ever be that big."

"Emperor Profound... are we all going to die?"

"No... someone is riding it! Look!"

"Ah... silver hair! Could it be Jun Long?"

There wasn't enough place for Rhaegal to land in the city. The Imperial Palace, however, had a lot of empty space. He decided to land in a courtyard which was big enough to fit a Dragon three times the size of Rhaegal. So, the landing part wasn't so difficult. Explaining it to the royal family should be the difficult part... well, not really. Aerion practically has the reputation of a Saint! Not only that, but he's also the strongest person in the entire Blue Wind Empire (they don't know that but he's still officially Sky Profound 7 which is pretty damn strong). The Blue Wind Imperial Family should be exhilarated that he came to visit.

Immediately, the royal guard confronted him.

"You dare approach me, a DRAGON, you weaklings!?" Rhaegal roared

The guards were sent falling backwards with a single roar.

"Return, Rhaegal."

"...Very well."

Phew, I thought he was about to burn them all.

A contracted beast's master usually had a seal in which the beast could be stored. It seemed that Rhaegal was connected to the Sky Poison Pearl's marking. Rhaegal disappearing into the marking shouldn't raise any suspicions... apart from the fact that the seal is always on the back of the hand, not the front. Oh well... it shouldn't be a problem.

"I apologise for the dramatic and unexpected entrance. But I, Jun Long, wish to have a tour around the very famous and prestigious Blue Wind Imperial Palace."

I'm certain they won't reject a charming, young and powerful man like myself.

The royal guards got back up and gracefully accepted Aerion's apology. Minutes later, Aerion found himself hanging out with the First and Third princes. They both REALLY wanted to get on his side (a**-kissing galore). They even set aside their differences for a few minutes!

"Unfortunately, as the days pass, our royal father becomes more and more unwell... I doubt we'll be able to visit him." The First prince stated

"Truly unfortunate, even the Medical Saint couldn't resolve the problem." The Third prince added

"Who's this Medical Saint you speak of?"

"Gu Qiuhong, of course. Haven't you heard of him?"

"Oh... him! There was a book I read and it had a short paragraph about him, it described him as a... medical genius and a great man."

Aerion lied, the book had a lot of bad things and little good things to say about him. The Library in the Noble Rogue Sect had books with few lies if none at all, for the elders of the Sect themselves had written them.

"That book is accurate."

"I wonder what's made the Emperor so unwell that even Gu Qiuhong can't heal him?" Aerion asked.

"Gu Qiuhong says that the problem is the result of overworking himself and a damaged life vein." The Third prince replied

Aerion thought about it for a moment, the Blue Wind Emperor would make an interesting ally if he could save him.

Since I'm already here, why not?

"So it's a lack of vitality?"

"Yes, something like that."

"Then bring me to him, I think I might be able to help him."

I'll show the world what a true Medical Saint looks like! That faker, Qu Giuhong, won't even compare.

"He is truly unwell if even Qu Giuhong can't heal him. How could you solve something that even he can't?"

Aerion's lilac eyes glowed a shade of violet.

"Tch, that Qu Qiuhong isn't even comparable to me! Let me ask you a simple question; do you want your father to die!?"

"Well..."

Aerion put the two princes in a very difficult situation. If they said yes, well, that's basically treason. If they say no, then they will have to bring Aerion to the Emperor. And that might lead to him actually being treated... but Qu Giuhong says it's impossible to treat, its a damn parasite connected to one's life! There's no way some cultivator could just remove it. "Jun Long" is known for his cultivation strength and appearance, not his medical expertise.

They decided to let him into the throne room, confident in Qu Qiuhong and his parasite. As they began to walk closer and closer, the princes became more and more nervous. Maybe this Jun Long is truly a Heavenly talent who can do everything, maybe he hasn't shown the world his medical abilities... until now.

No, the princes thought. That's impossible... he's a cultivator, not a doctor.

"It's you two... damn brats."

"I'll be taking my leave, good luck, Jun Long. If you want to speak to me after, then feel free to do so." The First prince said as he walked back

"Same... I will leave as I do not wish to burden my royal father any further."

I thought you princes were supposed to make this affair easier on me... oh well.

Aerion walked towards the throne, each of his steps making loud echoes. It was a huge hall filled with nothing. This was meant to make people more nervous, but Aerion was more confident than ever. The Imperial Guards didn't startle him one bit.

I came here to save the Emperor if he doesn't want to be saved then... he can go ahead and die.

"Silver hair and purple eyes... you must be Jun Long. I've heard many things about you, what brings you here?"

"Well, I initially landed on one of the courtyards with my dragon. I came here to visit and pay respects to the mighty Blue Wind Imperial Family. The First and Third princes were kind enough to give me a tour and eventually, they brought up your current state. Then I decided to do something about it."

"Oh? I never heard anything about you doing anything medicine-related... are you sure you can help?"

"I bet my reputation on it."

~

The Emperor didn't trust Aerion enough to leave himself alone with him, so be brought along one of the only people he truly trusted... his daughter. Aerion thought it was unnecessary but he understood the Emperor's precautions. One of the only reasons he was allowed near him was because of his great reputation. He saved Ling Yun, the Young Master of the Heavenly Sword Villa, from certain death and he's a Noble Rogue Sect disciple... no, he's their future leader. Why would he want to kill the Emperor when there's no reason for him to do so?

Cang Wanhe, the Blue Wind Emperor, told him about Yun Che's discovery of the parasite and Cang Yue added some extra details, hoping that Aerion would be able to save her father.

So it's attached to his soul somehow... this won't be easy, but I'm confident in my Ghost flame.

Aerion opened the Emperor's scar and drew out the parasite with his profound energy, just as Yun Che had done. He held it in his palm... and made a small portion of Ghost flames, enough to incinerate the parasite. If the Ghost flames truly have a "soul" element to them... then the Emperor shouldn't be affected.

The chains which held the parasite and the Blue Wind Emperor shattered in seconds as if they had never existed. The job, however, wasn't done... not yet, anyway. The Emperor probably still has a low amount of vitality and there's still a chance he could die. Aerion wanted to make sure, so he activated his Sharingan and used it to help him create a ball of flames... flames that can heal one's vitality.

Cang Yue looked distressed. "What are you doing!?"

"Just shut up and watch a real Medical Saint at work. I need to concentrate in order for this to work... if you interrupt me... even once, your dear father is going to burst into flames."

"..."

Aerion gently placed the ball of gentle flames onto the Emperor's c.h.e.s.t. This ball of fire spread to his entire body. This fire didn't burn him, it healed him instead. The cut where the parasite was dragged from closed up in twenty seconds, this reassured the Emperor. Aerion continued to support the fire with his profound energy for a whole ten minutes.

"That should... do it," Aerion said, breathless.

The Blue Wind Emperor stood up, he felt refreshed. It was as if he was never ill... his vitality was back to normal. No... his vitality was in a better state than its ever been!

"Father, are you alright?"

"Of course, I feel better than I ever have! Who would've thought that flames could heal people!? Jun Long, you are truly a transcendent talent!"

Aerion swiftly rested his back on the wall, beads of sweat dripping from his handsome face. He had used a lot of his profound energy and controlled the flame perfectly. Healing the Blue Wind Emperor had almost completely drained him. Aerion hated to admit it but Yun Che did make things easier for him... without Yun Che, he would've had a harder time finding the parasite. He relaxed for a while and then he stood up again.

Aerion chuckled. "I, on the other hand, don't feel too good. I think... I should leave."

"No, boy, you're not going anywhere, not today. You have worked hard to heal me, it would be wrong of me to allow you to leave without proper rest and a suitable reward."

Aerion, reluctantly, decided to stay in the Blue Wind Imperial Palace for another day. The First and Third princes are in for a real surprise when they find out that their daddy is back to 100% vitality...
