Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 54 - The Dragonsguard

"You wish to start a new division?"

"Yes, something unrelated to the conflict between the Guards and Blades. Well... I'll be honest, it's more of a personal thing."

"Personal, you say? Creating a new division isn't easy... it hasn't been done in an extremely long time nor is it necessary. But, I doubt the Noble Rogue Sect will remain the same in the future. More and more talented disciples will be willing to join and we can't possibly reject them... it might be time for an expansion."

An expansion? That sounds reasonable.

The Grandmaster continued "This new division of yours... how many disciples will be part of it?"

The original idea was Seven and Aerion wasn't planning on changing it anytime soon. There's no way he's going to train a hundred+ disciples himself. He's going to raise the first Seven and those Seven shall spread their knowledge to their own disciples.

"Seven."

"A small number."

Aerion shrugged. "Quality over quantity."

The Grandmaster sighed. "Very well... your division is official, but you'll have to do everything yourself. The buildings, uniform and recruiting will all be up to you."

"No problem."

Seeing Aerion's overwhelming confidence and casual attitude, the Grandmaster wasn't too worried. "Jun Long" has done far harder things than starting a division... what could possibly go wrong?

~

Fen Juecheng had become a changed man by Aerion. No longer did he care about Cang Yue... actually, he was scared of her! This was completely unintentional on Aerion's part. The only thing on Fen Juecheng's mind was strength... nothing else mattered more to him. He was now a loyal, dedicated and obedient follower. Being the young master of the Heavenly Burning Clan was a far inferior position when compared to being Aerion's disciple.

"So... now I'm part of this Dragonsguard division?"

"Yes, Fen Juecheng, you're its first member! You should be honoured."

"What is the purpose of the Dragonsguard?"

"Show off at the Seven Nations Ranking Tournament, of course!"

"...Are you serious? That's a temporary event..."

"It's a minor purpose. The main reason for its existence is to get a group of loyal followers who can protect the Noble Rogue Sect when I'm unable to."

"I understand."

"Now, we need to find six other worthy disciples and then we can begin preparing for the next stage."

Aerion walked around the Noble Rogue Sect with Fen Juecheng, observing the young inhabitants of the mighty Fortress. 16 years old, Spirit Profound 5, Sun Lin. Once Aerion saw this, he approached the disciple.

"Master Jun?" The disciple said, half shocked, half excited.

"I would like to offer you a once in a lifetime deal."

"What may that be?"

"An invitation to my brand-new division, the Dragonsguard."

"Will it be better than the Blades and Guards?"

Fen Juecheng rolled his eyes. "Of course. It's led by Senior... who has the battle power of a late Emperor Profound cultivator. Why wouldn't it be better than those pitiful divisions who are led by old, frail, mid-Sky Profound cultivators? If you don't accept Seniors offer..."

"Relax, this junior accepts the invitation."

Well, that was simple... onto the next one!

~

In the next thirty minutes, Aerion had mustered six talented disciples for his new division in total. These six were; Fen Juecheng, Sun Lin, Robb, Wei Ling, Cai Rong and Mo Yi. He only needed one more... Aerion decided that it would only be right that Liu Lei got an offer.

"Stay outside, I'll be back soon."

Aerion left his six disciples outside the Mansion and went to Liu Lei's room. He knocked and waited for a response.

"I'm busy right now... come back later."

"Busy, you say?"

"Jun Long...?"

"Yeah, open the damn door."

"Alright... give me a second."

He unlocked the door and opened it, Aerion went inside.

"So, what have you been up to with the Rangers?"

"I completed a few missions but now I'm focusing on my cultivation."

"Would you be interested in joining my new division?"

Liu Lei shook his head. "Nah, I'm fine with the Rangers."

Aerion reluctantly nodded and left. "I understand."

He was happy where he was... there was no need for Aerion to intervene. Still, he need a Seventh member for his new division! Aerion went outside of the Mansion. Seeing that Aerion came out alone, Sun Lin asked a very 'wise' question.

"What now?"

"We look around some more."

"This recruiting stage is taking way too long, just pick up some random disciple and you'll be done." Mo Yi responded.

"Some random disciple? Who do you think My Lord is?" Robb responded

Cai Rong agreed. "It must be someone talented, or else that disicple will bring the whole group down."

~

*Clash*

Two Earth Profound swords clashed against each other. The two figures looked similar, but one was clearly older than the other one. Surprisingly, the younger of the two was stronger. These two were, of course, Tai Shu and Tai Quin!

"Damn it... how the hell did you get so strong!?"

"Do you really want to know?"

Mighty Wind Slash.

Tai Quin pushed back Tai Shu with ease. The slash wasn't that strong but it was enough to lightly injure Tai Shu. Tai Shu recovered and responded with an attack of his own. He infused the Wind God's Art into his sword and sent it flying straight towards Tai Quin. Tai Quin barely managed to dodge, he was shocked by the speed of the sword. While Tai Quin was distracted by his sword, Tai Shu sprinted towards Tai Quin and kicked him in the face. Tai Quin spit out some blood and retaliated by hitting Tai Shu with the pommel of his sword. Tai Shu responded with a punch to the gut, Tai Quin backed away.

"Damn... you are persistent, elder brother."

Even though Tai Quin was holding back, he was impressed by his elder brother's attacks. He would probably be able to beat him if they were in the same stage of cultivation strength. But, alas, he was far behind. If only Jun Long had opened his profound entrances too...

Tai Shu picked up his sword from the floor.

"Well... are you going to answer my question or not?"

"Alright, alright, all you have to do is ask Jun Long. Well... maybe you'll have to do something more persuasive than simply asking."

"Tch, I'll find him."

Tai Shu turned away and walked away.

"Wait... you're going so soon? I thought we were going to spar for longer than that..."

"Later, little brother."

Tai Quin looked around, who am I going to train with now?

Tai Quin decided to follow his elder brother.

~

Eventually, Tai Shu found Aerion.

"Hey, Jun Long..."

"He wants you to open his profound entrances." Tai Quin interrupted.

Aerion grinned. "I can do that with ease... but on one condition!"

"What is it?"

"You join my division."

Tai Shu thought about it for a moment. At this rate, Tai Quin will surpass him and reach a peak which he could never even dream of. He's only in the higher stages of the Spirit Profound Realm while Tai Quin is in the early stages of the Earth Profound Realm! Leaving the Guards is a small price to pay... a far smaller price than his pride. How can he possibly let his little brother continue to overshadow him!?

"Very well."

"Woohoo, the Seventh member! Welcome to the brotherhood..." Sun Lin celebrated.

Wei Ling coughed. "Brotherhood? Excuse me..."

"It's 5 guys and 2 girls, you're in the minority." Mo Yi explained further.

"Cai Rong? You don't have anything to say about it? I'm sure if you..."

"It's unnecessary... why fight over something so trivial?"

Wei Ling was shutdown by Cai Rong. Aerion chuckled, things might be more interesting with this little group.

"What now, Senior?" Fen Juecheng asked

"We find a home... better yet, build one!"

~

Just outside of Oldtown stood a mighty and towering hill... well, it was the size of a mountain. The reason for it being called a hill was due to the large field of grass all over it. The grass was long overgrown and needed to be cut. The trees weren't too big or too small, they were of average size. Average... yeah about that, the 'average size' of something in Blue Pole Star typically means huge in Westerosi. This applies to almost everything apart from their height... the people here are clearly shorter.

"We shall settle here," Aerion stated.

"Alright... but we need houses and stuff, right?"

"You're right, now that we've found the perfect place, it's time to get some buildings constructed."

Aerion brought out his trump card... MONEY. They went back to Oldtown and gave a couple thousand purple profound coins for the construction of a few buildings. The group of workers agreed without any signs of hesitation, they got straight to work. They said it would take about a week... well, there were about fifty of them and they had decent cultivation. So, in the meantime, Aerion told his disciples to focus on their cultivation back in the Noble Rogue Sect. Each got one True Sky Profound pill and their profound entrances were opened. He did the same with Tai Xia and Izanami since they were his women. Their current cultivation strength is;

Robb: Sky Profound 4

Fen Juecheng: Sky Profound 6

Sun Lin: Sky Profound 5

Wei Ling: Sky Profound 4

Cai Rong: Sky Profound 5

Mo Yi: Sky Profound 5

Tai Shu: Sky Profound 7

Tai Xia: Sky Profound 6

Izanami: Sky Profound 10

Aerion decided to go to sleep early since there was nothing for him to do. But right before going to sleep, he took in the origin blood of the Phoenix and Dragon God. Then he took one Emperor Profound pill as well. Aerion saw the effects almost immediately. His cultivation strength sky-rocketed to Emperor Profound Five and his body was tougher than ever. He brought out Stormcaller to test out his regenerative abilities. It took a few seconds to get the right amount of strength to cut through his tough skin. He looked at the small cut on his hand. One... two... three. It all happened so quickly. The wound was closed in two seconds and back to normal in three!

With this kind of speed regenerating limbs shouldn't take any longer than three days!

Aerion closed his eyes and went to sleep.

~Floor Seven~

Aerion tried to fly up the stairs but he couldn't... the Profound Floating Technique just didn't work. It looked like the dungeon intended it to be this way so that he would have to walk up the stairs.

"Looks like we'll have to walk up the stairs." The Heavenly Fire Demon stated.

"Unfortunately." Aerion nodded.

They walked up the almost infinitely long stairs for what seemed to be a millennium. With every step, the journey became more difficult. The force pulling them down became stronger and stronger. Aerion began to sweat from the effort and his body felt weak. The Heavenly Fire Demon seemed to be having an easier time due to his cultivation strength. After some time, the Heavenly Demon finally broke through to Sovereign Profound and resisting the force became easier for him.

"Damn it... what kind of retarded demon decided to make this so difficult!?"

"Struggling to get by, disciple?"

"No... I can do this, I'm not struggling!"

Aerion didn't open the first gate, for he was too prideful.

What's a staircase to a Dragon?

~

"Finally... the top..."

Aerion rolled himself onto the platform. He opened his eyes once again and saw another staircase... one that goes even higher! Then he looked around and saw one man in the middle of the platform. A bald, old and bearded man. Aerion stood up and walked closer, the Heavenly Fire Demon behind him. Aerion used 'observe' and his blood boiled with fury.

Tywin... f*cking Lannister? No, it can't be. A mere illusion, that's what it is!

Aerion was right... the Tywin Lannister clone didn't speak, nor did it show emotion. He raised his hand and gold began to form around him. The gold was scattered all over the place but soon it began to form into spikes... weapons and lastly, warriors made of gold! A small grin surfaced on his face as he sent fifty golden warriors and a wave of sharp projectiles towards Aerion.

DRACONIC HEART... SHARINGAN!

"Not being able to fly will be troublesome..." The Heavenly Fire Demon released a ball of pure fire towards a few of the soldiers.

Aerion managed to dodge the projectiles but when the golden warriors reached him, living became harder than ever. But one thing kept him going... the thought of killing Tywin, even if it was a fake. He dodged and countered, dodged and countered with his blade. It felt like an endless cycle... the more he disposed of the more came for more. The Wind God's Art didn't do much, cutting them just resulted in them reforming in a dozen or so seconds later. Regular flames and the Ghost flame didn't do much to help. Aerion took out and crushed the golden spikes which had pierced his body and then he looked at the golden warriors with fire in his eyes.

They really want to die...

"Allow me to fulfil your wishes by sending you ALL STRAIGHT TO HELL!"

PURGATORY!!!

EMPYREAN DANCE OF THE PHOENIX WING!!!

A giant phoenix formed, high above the golden warriors. Its wings beautiful and majestic, like the flame it wields. The phoenix then turned to the platform and dived straight down. Once it reached the ground, the phoenix exploded into a burst of phoenix flames. The phoenix flames spread to the entire platform, burning everything in its path. The gold dropped to the floor, in the shape of coins. There was only one opponent left standing, the fake Tywin.

"Die, faker."

Star God's Broken Shadow.

*SLASH*

His head dropped to the floor, then his limbs followed. Aerion then kicked Tywin's remains off the platform. His dungeon ring collected all of the gold, an enormous 20 million. He then laid down on the floor, exhausted.

The Seventh Floor... what if it has seven platforms, seven bosses?

The mere thought of fighting off six more bosses and walking another six staircases terrified Aerion. He rested for a minute and then opened his eyes... only to see a giant Warhammer crashing downwards, aiming to crush his face.

Then Aerion was awoken and dragged out of the Dungeon by someone.

"Wake up... LONG!"

Aerion was slapped awake by Tai Xia. A light slap, nothing that could harm him.

"Wha... what are you..."

"The Sect is under attack by several cloaked figures... their strong, even father can't match them."

"Hold on, let me get dressed."

The Grandmaster was probably around Emperor Profound 3 and his battle power should count for something... multiple figures stronger than him, they're definitely not from Blue Wind.

Aerion stopped thinking and hastily dressed in his uniform. It was around midnight... what a bad time to get forcefully woken up. He heard raging fire... and he began to worry. Aerion clutched Stormcaller and stormed out of his house.
