Targaryen Who Turned Dragon

Chapter 81 - Sweet Revenge

"You have done well, my dear messenger. Now go forth and fight."

"I will do as you wish, My Lord!"

"Good."

Everything was proceeding to plan, at least it seemed so.

~

The Dragonsguard were forced to spread apart by none other than the endless disciples and masters attacking them. The Heavenly Demon slaughtered them one by one, but there was only so much he could do when Rotias appeared before him.

"Do you enjoy killing those weaker than you?" Rotias asked.

"Do you?"

"Good question. I love all types of killing!"

BANG.

The swords of the Heavenly Demon and Rotias collided. It was clearly going to be a one-sided battle from the very start. Rotias' sword cut through the Heavenly Demon's sword like it was butter against a knife. There was seemingly no resistance. The Heavenly Demon backed away, Rotias smiled.

"Such a splendid sword, don't you think? I found it among the ruins of the sword region."

The Heavenly Demon couldn't care less, but he had to stall for time. Long enough for Aerion to recover.

"It is splendid indeed… I am quite envious of you."

"Hmm, I am a kind God. You serve Aerion Targaryen… such a sinful deed, but I can pardon even the worst sins. Join me and I shall reward you greatly."

"Reward me greatly? My loyalty has no price."

"Admirable, your loyalty is. But I will make you submit… one way or another."

~

"Big brother, don't force me into killing you."

Tai Shu chuckled. "I doubt you have the ability."

"How ignorant of you."

Two Mighty Wind Slashes were sent against each other. Tai Shu wasn't going to stand around, he moved to the side of Quin and slashed at his arm. Tai Quin blocked the strike.

"That's all?"

Not quite, A Thousand Cuts!

"What!? You…"

Wind surrounded Tai Quin and began to slash at him from all directions. Quin increased the strength of his wind aura but he can only resist some of the damage. Tai Shu was preparing another attack while Tai Quin was defending himself. The wind from his hands began expanding and forming into a tornado.

"Forgive me… little brother."

Earth Decimating Tornado.

Tai Quin was caught in the tornado, which began to break him apart. Once Tai Quin's condition became critical, Tai Shu stopped the tornado. He stood beside his brother. He was so close to ending him… but he couldn't do it. A few tears fell.

"I… can't... "

Big brother is weak-willed, after all...

Tai Shu healed some of Tai Quin's wounds, ensuring that he would not die. Then he left to support the other Dragonsguard in their battle against the noble rogues.

~

Many of the noble rogues had been slain by Fen Juecheng, Cai Rong, Wei Ling, Izanami and Mo Yi. Sun Lin and Tai Xia were a bit more hesitant. For the most part, they stood around Aerion. He didn't exactly need protection since no ordinary attack could harm him but they still needed to make sure no one snatched him away. Instead of fighting, Sun Lin decided to heal Aerion's wound.

"Stand back, all of you. I will handle these troublemakers." Tai Wentian commanded.

The noble rogues stopped all combat and moved back.

"So you want to die as well, old man?" Fen Juecheng faced him with unwavering confidence.

"My dear, why won't you switch to the rightful side?" Tai Wentian ignored him and looked towards his daughter.

"No… I won't."

"Hmph, very well. WIND GOD'S DOMAIN!"

The domain encompassed the Dragonsguard and none of the noble rogues.

"Damn it… we're all going to die!"

Yes, it was overwhelmingly powerful. All people are destined to die one day… but that day was not today for the Dragonsguard!

"Come on… wake up, Master… we need you!"

~

"Can you stop resting, Aerion?" The Dragon asked.

"Why are you so impatient… you don't care what happens, anyway."

"I care what happens to you."

Aerion smiled. "You almost made me blush, hahaha. Do you really think I'm just laying around?"

"It looks like it."

"I still haven't recovered… besides, I'm thinking about how I can erase Rotias' influence. Hmm, do you think that Izanagi can reverse the effects?"

"It is the power to reject reality…"

"Maybe I can reject his control… but then I would be fighting Rotias with one eye. I might not even have one if I have to bring back a few dead noble rogues."

"You are too prideful to use Izanagi-No-Okami."

"No, that isn't the case. I will use all means necessary to defeat Rotias."

Just like he used the Noble Rogue Sect against me. That was low, even for him. Oh… my wound has healed, at last!

Aerion opened his eyes.

~

"Die, traitorous Dragonsguard!"

Stormcaller.

The sword absorbed the entirety of the Wind God's Domain in mere moments. Tai Wentian's eyes widened in shock. The speed of his recovery was inhuman. Sun Lin's healing flame did help but it wasn't the main reason, the sacred blood and inheritance of the mighty Fire Dragon God, Aerios, was.

"Scale Regeneration…"

"You know about it, Grandmaster?"

"Yes, the Lord told me all about it."

"Interesting that he would tell you about it. However, you calling Rotias 'the Lord' is truly disturbing to me."

Damn it, looks like a few of the noble rogues were killed. Now I have no choice but to use it twice.

Aerion's violet eyes turned red and a familiar black pattern appeared on both. It began to spin...

Izanagi.

Henceforth, all members of the Noble Rogue Sect who died under the hands of Rotias will rise! The chains that have enforced absolute and everlasting loyalty to him shall be broken… for I have declared his power of dominion as a false truth!

Aerion's left and right eyes bled profusely and he almost bent his knees from the severe pain. But he managed to stand.

"What was I doing…?" A Noble Rogue Sect disciple looked towards his comrades for answers as he was confused.

"Yeah… isn't that Master Jun? We were going to capture him… right, Grandmaster?"

Tai Wentian shook his head. "No, I did not give those orders."

Aerion smiled but he remained steadfast.

It really worked… but I can't be sure yet, these noble rogues are good at acting. Hahahaha, it is one of the main skills in the arsenal of a noble rogue, after all.

The Dragonsguard relaxed after seeing the change. All the noble rogue's who had died stood up, their previous wounds becoming a thing of the past. The mood was lighter than before… but the battle was not over quite yet.

"Aerion… your eyes." Izanami noticed.

"Yeah, I used my Mangekyou. Where is the Heavenly Demon?"

"Last I saw him, he was fighting the Saint Emperor…"

"I see."

Izanagi-No-Okami.

His eyes recovered their sight, but it was only temporary and he knew it.

Aerion took flight and noticed a few explosions going off in the distance. He went in the direction of the explosions.

~

"Huh...."

Rotias noticed that something was off. The Heavenly Demon stood in front of him, though he wasn't far from being a corpse. Rotias had enjoyed his time thoroughly, inducing dozens of wounds on the Heavenly Demon. Some were small and insignificant, while others were life-threatening. Rotias could have finished him at will, whenever he wanted. But his 'playful' nature prevented him from doing so.

"So, do you regret your decision?"

"No."

"So stubborn! It is so irritating…"

BEGONE.

SILVER CALAMITY, CRIMSON DEMON'S SPEAR.

A spear flew in the direction of Rotias with great fury, covered in black-red flames.

"AGH!"

Rotias was sent flying by the sheer force of the spear.

Sky Piercer went straight through him. After flying for a few seconds, the black-red flames exploded, further damaging Rotias.

BANG.

I hit his profound veins, probably destroying them completely. Rotias was too busy toying with the Heavenly Demon to even notice Sky Piercer flying towards him from behind.

Rotias eventually stood up and managed to withdraw the halberd from his body. He looked so weak, it was pathetic to see. There was a whole where Sky Piercer had penetrated him and from it emerged enough blood to fill a lake.

"You…"

"It's over, Rotias."

Aerion walked towards the weakened Rotias.

"No.... no, no, it is not over!"

He attacked Aerion with his sword, Aerion easily blocked every strike. Once he had enough, he attacked Rotias with enough force to make him let go of his sword. The sword Aerion looked down at Rotias and smiled. His crimson eyes radiated a frightening amount of killing intent. Ordinary flames formed at the centre of his right hand.

"Now this is where the fun begins, isn't it?"

Those cold words sent shivers down Rotias' spine, reminding him of a certain rival. Yes… Aerion's aura was so similar to Aerios' own aura. An aura of unparalleled confidence, authority and power. There was a reason as to why he was King for so long.

"No… don't…"

"Look at you… honestly, I don't like fighting a pointless battle. But all this pent up rage, it has to go somewhere, doesn't it!?"

Aerion grabbed his face and began to burn.

"You have committed many sins and now you will pay for every single one."

"Go… on, finish me…"

Aerion ignored his pleas. "Firstly, you have brain-washed thousands to serve you against their will."

"Don't act like you are some pure saint… you have committed many sins as well…"

Aerion gouged his left eye out with Blackfyre.

"AAAH… DAMN YOU."

"Not only did you do so to the Absolute Monarch Sanctuary, among many other places, but you also turned the Noble Rogue Sect against me. Shameful… you cannot even convince people to join your own cause through normal means… AND YOU WANT WORLD DOMINATION? YOU ARE NO MORE THAN A LEECH! A SHAMELESS AND VILE CREATURE WHO DOES EVERYTHING NECESSARY TO BECOME STRONGER, EVEN IF THAT MEANS KILLING HIS OWN SUBJECTS... WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD WILLINGLY FOLLOW YOU!?"

"I..."

"Secondly, you took thousands of innocent lives. What did the sword region do, for you to burn it and kill everyone?"

"It was a... spectacular event, you must admit."

"So despicable... you don't even care."

"What do a few mortal lives amount to? Nothing! Always remember... that they mean nothing, Little Dragon. You have killed many yourself... do their deaths concern you? Do you have difficulties sleeping at n-"

Aerion stabbed him in the knee.

"AHH."

"Yes, I have killed a handful amount of people in my life. But I did it out of necessity. While you... you do it for your own amus.e.m.e.nt!"

"Is that wrong?"

Aerion stabbed his other knee.

"I expected no less from you. It is in your nature... now, I shall imprison you."

"OBJECTION!"

Aerion was going to permanently dislocate his limbs with his sword but something stopped Blackfyre from doing so.

Rotias had taken something strange from his storage ring. It was a wheel... an unusual wheel, at that. Rotias did not hesitate to introduce this wheel's terror upon the world. But Aerion reacted too quickly.

SLASH.

"!?"

Rotias' arm fell flat onto the ground, along with the wheel. Aerion made sure to take the other hand before observing the wheel.

"That is the... Evil Infant's Wheel of Myriad Tribulations, ranked second among the Seven Heavenly Profound Treasures..." Jasmine stated. "He could have ended all life on this planet in an instant."

A treasure... and a dangerous one at that.

Aerion grabbed the wheel. "This was your last resort, huh?"

"Release, yourself, dear child!"

Aerion threw it into the Sky Poison Pearl before Rotias had finished his order. "Not today, leech."

He could control it with his voice? This must mean that he has some sort of relationship with it... he might even be its master.

"Uh oh, you made a grave mistake. You poisoned yourself!"

"It is nowhere near full strength, nothing I can't handle over a period of time. As for you... I call check, you lose. I will turn a few months of my humiliation into an eternity of humiliation for you."

Aerion finished what he started, removing Rotias of any profound strength he had left. Then he froze him into a forgiving, yet sturdy block of ice. Aerion didn't want him to die.

Then he quickly went over to the Heavenly Demon and healed his wounds for a few minutes.

"Thank you, My Lord."

"My Lord? If you are going to be formal, then at least use 'Your Grace'."

"Disciple, it is."

"Anyway... my eyes are close to going blind. Take everyone back to the Noble Rogue Sect, including myself, and that block of ice over there. Help them rebuild what was lost in my absence..."

"As you wish."

"Then it is farewell... for some time..."

Aerion started to feel the effects of the poison and his vision was slowly fading.

Hopefully, I don't die from this poison... that would be an awfully pitiful death for a young man like myself.
