C27: Let’s buy some armor!

Lucia Alstroemeria, an extremely beautiful woman and the leader of the “Dark Night Knights”, an order of mage knights created by Chancellor Nachtigal.

The first question that comes to mind is “Why is she in this armor shop?” In addition, if I look closely, I can see that this person has a……ring. Brünnhilde looked at her with the same expression as always, and I was on guard. She giggled……….She’s so my type, this one.

The first thing I choose is armor to protect my body. Lucia showed us a selection of light steel breastplates.

“Sage, looking at your flesh, you’re not suited for heavy equipment. You need only the bare minimum of armor. A breastplate to protect your heart, leggings to protect your lower limbs, and baskets to protect your arms. I also recommend that you wear a cloak with magical protection.”

“I see. It is true that the heavy ones are a bit tough, so I want to go with the light ones.”

“Then let’s put on some breastplates, turn around.”

Lucia comes up behind me and helps me with my equipment by unclasping my breastplate. What can I say?……I was ticklish.

Next was the basket and  Lucia’s recommendation was.

Sage, is the sword your only weapon?”

“Sort of. I don’t plan on doing much fighting.”

“I see. But you need to be prepared for emergencies. So I recommend this basket with a built-in weapon.”

“Built-in weapon?”

“Yes. It’s a basket with a foldable popping knife and a foldable short bow, the short bow can be used as a deterrent and the foldable popping knife can be used as a concealed weapon.”

“Wow…..is kind of cool.”

“I bet. Try it out.”

As I was told, I equipped the basket in my right hand. It is surprisingly light and fits my right hand well. When I move my hand upward, a knife pops out from underneath the basket, and when I move my hand downward, the gimmick on top of the basket opens up to form a bow.

This is just like the symbolic weapon of the Order of Assassins. Well, I might be able to use it for something, so I might as well buy it. By the way, I used a regular basket in my left hand.

“And the cape.”

It’s an item with magical protection made of the same material as a magician’s robe, and it can be used to defend against magic to a certain extent if you channel magic power through it.

“A certain extent.”

“It’s just a temporary measure, but on the battlefield, that temporary measure can make the difference between victory and defeat. A breastplate is not enough to protect you, so there is no harm in buying one.”

The other side seems to be interested in Brunnhilde, and I’m sorry to use her as bait, but I think I can get a lot out of her.
