C36: Nachtigal, Queen of the Night

From now on this will be the regular release time.

It’s been a few days since Kutone decided to accompany me. She had seriously reported her absence from school and was preparing for the trip. Moreover, she borrowed a number of heavy magic books from school.

Kutone twirled her long staff.

A yellow magic circle unfolded at the tip of Kutone’s staff, from which a stone shaped like a pickle shot out and hit the rock. If I took a hit like that, I’d have more than just broken bones.

“It looks like this. The size of the stone changes depending on the amount of magic you put into it. The chanting spell is ‘Let the gravel of the earth fly’, Stone Bullet. It’s just like that.”

“Okay…….”

I stuck out my right hand and got fired up. I’m going to do the first magic……of my life.

A pebble no bigger than three centimeters appeared from the magic circle and fell without even flying a meter. It was worse than a child throwing a stone.

“Well, that’s pretty good for your first time.”

I then tried Stone Bullet a few times, but the results were all the same.

“Haha. Now that we know that the spell works, all you have to do is practice until your magic power runs out!”

The spell was cast. In other words……I used magic. I was so excited by this fact that I took turns activating the spells until my magic power ran out.  Kutone was guiding me, while Brunnhilde was stroking Stallion and massaging her with a comb.

I noticed that it was long past noon.

My magic power had run out, and I was exhausted.

I sat down near the carriage and gulped down a glass of fruit water that Brunnhilde offered me. The cold, sweet, citrusy liquid soaks into my body……It’s delicious.

“Sage, you’re doing pretty well for a first timer.”

“Thank you……”

“Now all you have to do is practice every day!”

“Yeah, I’m going to try to become a G-class magician.”

“That’s the spirit!………Huh? What’s that?”

“Hmm?”

It was then that I saw five carriages running along the street. Two carriages in the front, a gorgeously decorated carriage in the middle, and two carriages running in the rear. No matter how I look at it, they are escorting the carriage in the middle.

The woman was probably in her late twenties.
