Therefore, CAN technology is needed to solve the problem of information channels between machines.

The third problem is global positioning technology and inertial measurement units.

Global positioning technology is not difficult to solve. Huaxia has a Beidou system. If it cooperates with the North American GPS system, it can form a dual positioning channel to obtain accurate vehicle positioning information.

But the inertial measurement unit, which is called IMU for short, is more difficult.

Relying on global positioning and the IMU, you can know where the vehicle is and which direction it is driving. In addition, the IMU can provide richer information such as yaw angular velocity, angular acceleration, etc., which can help the positioning and decision control of autonomous vehicles .

The fourth challenge is the sensor.

In current autonomous vehicles, three major sensing systems are required at the same time: vision sensors, laser sensors, and radar sensors.

The vision sensor is a binocular camera, which can provide stereo vision perception, not only for autonomous driving technology, but also for future robotics technology.

Industrial binocular sensing cameras and mobile phone cameras are not the same thing, and the largest player in this field is the subsidiary of Xingchen Technology, Xingchen Optics.

After years of expansion and development, Star Optics is no longer a small factory that can only build cameras, but a large complex with many fronts including sensing, remote sensing, laser, astronomical optics, medical optics, optical software, and so on.

The last is the radar sensor, which is more common. The front and rear reversing radar is a typical radar sensor. The research of this thing is mainly auto parts manufacturers, Denso, Bosch, China, Delphi and so on.
