Teen Wolf Rebirth

Chapter 8 - Sitch

Elizabeth was sitting in her classroom, across from her was Melissa McCall. "Good evening Miss McCall, I'm your son's science teacher, Elizabeth Everly. Lovely to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. So what would you like to talk about?." Melissa was nervous for this meeting.

"Well Miss McCall, Scott isn't dumb, that's for sure. The problem is that he seems to have a lot on his mind during my classes. This isn't something studying or grounding can fix, it's something your son needs to sort out. The only you can do is give him some time." Elizabeth didn't actually plan to roast Scott in front of his mom. If she did that Scott wouldn't have as much free time for the pack with his mom breathing down his neck.

Melissa was understandably surprised by the unethical advice. She had been expecting to hear about how she was a 'bad mother' or how Scott needed a 'father figure' in his life. Thats all she had got from Mr Harris.

....

"Good evening Mrs Argent. Will your husband not be joining us?" Elizabeth was surprised that Victoria Argent was at this meeting. She thought after what happened to Kate, nobody would arrive for Allison.

"No he won't. It was a last minute change, because of some issues on his side of the family" She replied dispassionately

'Huh, I guess she never like Kate. How cliche, sister and sister in law don't get along.' Elizabeth thought. "Now let's get started shall we? Allison is a wonderful student and has good grades. The only problem I can see with her is getting easily distracted by other students."

Victoria's eyes snapped in Elizabeth's direction. "What does that mean?" She asked curiously.

"Well let's take her boyfriend for example, Scott McCall. Today he and your daughter skipped school together." Elizabeth was hoping to drive an even bigger wedge between Scott and the Argents.

It was an half hour later that Elizabeth was looking out her classroom window as Allison and Scott both pulled into the school car park before being scolded by their respective mothers.

It was later in the night that Scott, Derek, Stiles and Elizabeth were all on a Skype call.

"What do you mean almost killed Allison's aunt?" A dazed Stiles asked.

"It means just that Stiles. Derek cut her arm off and I made sure she would never walk again. This is what she deserves for taking all those in the fire. Human or otherwise." She spoke like it was no big deal.

Scott and Stiles sat silently, both trying to digest this information. If they had been told a few weeks ago, their reaction would been very different. They used to think all killing was bad, but after seeing what the alpha was doing and hearing about Kate Argents exploits, they knew some people would never stop. The only way make them, was to put them down.

*DING*

Looking at their screens they saw a voice msg from Derek. They clicked on it.

'HAHAHAHA, YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I BURNT THE HALES!?! ITS BECAUSE THEY DESERVED IT! WEREWOLVES HAVE NO PLACE IN THIS WORLD!! I WAS JUST PUTTING DOWN THE FILTH!'

After hearing this, Stiles and Scott no longer had any qualms with what had been done to Kate.

——————————————————————————————

It was the next day and Elizabeth was in her classroom with her two betas. "Both of you are capable of controlling yourselves on a normal day. But neither of you can do it on a full moon, let's change that"

"What do you suggest we do then?" Scott asked. He wanted to stop having to worry about full moons.

"That's simple Scott. You need an anchor, something you both care about so much that it keeps you human. During your Lacrosse game Scott, the thought of Allison stopped you from turning." She explained patiently.

"So if Scotty's already found his anchor why's he here?" Stiles asked, confused.

"Because Stiles. He needs a new anchor, something that isn't related to the Argents." Elizabeth knew having such a unreliable anchor wasn't going to help anyone.

"Why? What's wrong with Allison? I know the pack isn't the biggest fan of our relationship, but she's not like Kate" Scott truly looked like a kicked puppy at this moment. So much so that Elizabeth felt like giving him whatever he wanted, but she held strong.

"Scott, having Allison as an anchor means that if something were to happen to your relationship. Like you break up. The anchor wouldn't be as strong, it would fail to keep you human. And I hate to break it to you, but you're in high school. Chances are your relationship wont even make to the end of the year. You need something more long term, like your mum." Elizabeth didn't want him to have a weak anchor. His mother would do the job.

Scott seemed a little disgruntled by her lack of faith in him and Allison, but listened to her anyway.

"What about me?" Stiles asked

Elizabeth looked at him like he was an idiot. "That should bloody obvious Stiles, your dad.... unless either of you want to use me as your anchor. I wouldn't blame you, I'm truly a brilliant specimen of a woman." She said the last part with a big smile.

"No, were good!" They both shouted simultaneously before rushing out the room.

————————————————————————————-

Elizabeth walked into the school library and saw Allison sitting at a table with Lydia. 'She should be researching her family history if Kate managed to hint at it before her little... accident' She mused Listening to their conversation.

Allison had just found the book she was looking for. "The beast of Gevaudan. Listen to listen to this Lydia. 'A quadruped wolf - like monster, prowling the Auvergne and south Dordogne areas of France during the year 1764 to 1767. La Bete killed over a hundred people, becoming so infamous that the King Louie the 15th sent one of his best hunters to try and kill it."

"Boring." Lydia replied uncaringly.

"Even the church eventually declared the monster a messenger of Satan."

"Still boring."

"Cryptozoologists believe it may have been a subspecies of hoofed predator, possibly a mesonychid."

"Slipping into a coma bored".

"While others believe it was a powerful sorcerer who could shape-shift into a man eating monster."

"Does this have anything to do with your family?" She asked, getting tired of all this animal talk.

"It is believed that la Bete was finally trapped and killed by a renown hunter who claimed his wife and four children were the first to fall prey to the creature. His name was Argent."

"Your ancestors killed a big wolf. So what?"

"Not just a big wolf. Take a look at this picture." Before Allison could show Lydia the picture of a werewolf Elizabeth plopped onto the seat next to her.

"Good morning Allison. I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I couldn't help but hear you were talking about 'the beast of Gevaudan.' I studied the stories a while back, so I know quite a bit." She rattled of, playing the role enthusiastic teacher perfectly.

Allison looked surprised. "Really Miss Everly? Why would you be interested in something like this?" She asked curiously.

"Werewolves of course" She replied in a 'duh' tone.

Allison burst into giggles. "You think La bete is a werewolf?"

"Why don't we ask Lydia? What do you think it looks like?" Elizabeth grabbed the book and showed Lydia the drawing of La bete. It's eyes looked exactly like the ones that Lydia had seen during the attack on the video store. Blood red. Elizabeth could hear her breath hitch and heart rate rise. Sweat began trickling down the strawberry blondes face as she inwardly panicked.

"It looks - like a big - wolf. See you in Class". Lydia said managed to spit out before grabbing her things and rushing out the library door.

Allison wanted to follow her, but Elizabeth stopped her. "Allison. I heard your aunt was in town. Your a new student so I just wanted to see how things were at home, especially after you skipped school the other day." She had a half decent excuse for being so nosy.

"My aunt left, apparently she got sick and chose to leave early. I'm kinda annoyed with her for leaving without a goodbye" Allison looked genuinely upset about the

disappearance of her "cool" Aunt.

"Well I'm sure her leaving was an urgent matter. Well I've got to go now, see you in class darling". Elizabeth walked off with smile. 'It's seems the Argents aren't going to turn what happened to Kate in to a big deal just yet, but that doesn't mean Gerard will let it go. I'm sure he'll be much more aggressive than in the show.' She pondered on this subject for short moment.

———————————————————————————————

It was two days later that Scott and Stiles came running into her classroom, again. "What's wrong this time?" She asked dryly.

"It's Jackson! He knows were werewolves! Me and Stiles were practicing wolfing out using our Anchors in the locker room when he saw us. The showers were on and we didn't hear him coming." Scott was clearly stressed out.

"We wanted to play it off as a costume, but with both of us having a sudden improvements at Lacrosse he put 2 and 2 together" Stiles wasn't faring much better.

Elizabeth took a deep breath. This was good, this way Jackson would learn about werewolves. She was worried he wouldn't since Derek hadn't accidentally given the him aconite poisoning, that lead to him finding out about the supernatural. "Well what did he say? Is he going to tell people?" She asked already knowing the answer.

"He said that if we didn't get him the bite he would tell Allison!" A panicking Scott g.r.o.a.n.e.d.

"Didn't you and Allison break up Scott?" Elizabeth asked. Allison had dumped him for the same reason as in the show, 'because he's keeping to many secrets' blah blah blah.

"Yea, but that doesn't mean we want her to know that were a freaking Werewolves!" Stiles shouted sasily.

"Don't worry, I'll handle it. Both of you have a Lacrosse game to prepare for, so focus on that. Just make sure that he doesn't find out about Derek and I, ok my lovely's. Now go" Elizabeth spent a few minutes calming them down, before dismissing them with thoughtful look on her face.

————————————————————————————-

It was a couple hours later that the Lacrosse game ended and everyone left the field. Elizabeth hid silently behind the bleachers as she watched Lydia Martin walk towards the glowing red eyes in the distance. The stadium was empty and Peter planned to bite Lydia earlier than in the show. It seems the thought of there being another alpha in Beacon hills has put him on edge.

Before Lydia could react a very human looking Peter ran at her. He restrained her within his arms and bit her. Elizabeth heaved a sigh of relief when she saw this. She wanted to help Derek kill Peter for a while now, but needed to wait for Lydia to learn how to bring him back to life.

Peter ran off and left a bleeding Lydia on the ground. "Ahhhhhhhhhh" Elizabeth gave a loud screeching scream once Peter was far gone, before leaving the scene. The match hadn't ended long ago and people were still in the area. Someone would find her.
