Skills started flowing out from back-line of formation. However, as everyone was expecting for monster to disappear, instead only cloud of dust could be seen. Everyone missed their skills, unlike in most games where there was auto-correct to fix their aim, here was different. Only one managed to successfully graze leg of a lizard. As lizard was running out of a cloud of dust, Alex could see little transparent rectangle in upper-right side of his vision. On it he could see circle in which was head of a lizard he just stepped in combat with, he could see it's health, mana and a name. Swift Lizard 73/80♡ 0/0♢.

'Seems like my skill doesn't do full damage if targets not completely hit.' Just as Alex was thinking about mechanics of this new world lizard closed up on Noah and other two guardians.

"Unbreakable Shield!" If someone was looking at Noah's stats he could see Physical and Magic resistance go up 7%.

SLAM.

Noah managed to block head of a lizard as it tried to go under his shield and bite into his legs. Noah always showed good reaction speed in FPS games, without it he would have unusable leg for who knows how long right now. After blocking attack, lizards mouth was still wide open, trying to bite into a shield, Noah decided to step on it with his leg to hold it down.

"Ahhhh!" Just as he was about to told Spearman to stab it while blocking it's mouth, he could see beginning of a tail moving. Just as he realized what was happening he was already on a ground from swift attack on a back with long and thick tail. Just as lizard was about to stand again and hunt his prey he got slammed with electricity, water and earth and couldn't move.

Few seconds before that happened, Alex saw Water Mage starting to cast a spell, from earlier he knew it covered quite a large space, he waited for him to throw it. Since monster was now much closer he hoped skill will hit. Success. Immediately as he saw curse of which water spell was heading in he started to cast Spark. Perfect. Alex hit lizard with electricity just half a second after it got wet. Since attack combo was already complete Earth skill that was coming was just a icing on a cake. Alex checked status of a lizard 18/80♡ 'So combo attacks do exist', also after getting hit by that combo attack lizard didn't move for around half a second. 'It stunt him.'

'You bastard, we will see how lively you are.' Noah was already trying his best to keep calm, he was just about to land from a flight and see his mother, which he didn't see for 8 months due to working overseas, and now he had to go through this shit, he also had to stand that kid and not even mentioning confusion about whole situation, reason why he kept mask and his calm was because he thought that if he let's his emotion take over it's just gonna end worse, but after getting slap on a back and eating dirt, he wanted to went all his frustration out, and this lizard was perfect target. He started to charge a skill that he paid hefty sum for.

'Shield Slam!' Shield slam was a skill that costs 24000IP. It knocks back target and does 60(+40%Strength) physical damage. It was very high-damage skill considering everyone else and monsters health, however it had huge setback, it cost 45 mana of which Noah had just 60 of. Even if he was a tank he still wanted to have some way to deal high damage in case he needs it, which definitely wasn't now. After charging up towards a lizard and ducking down a little to hit it perfectly, he slammed a lizard's body and sent it flying. SLAM. Immediately dying after his shield connected. It's dead body was flying until it hit a large tree with it's back. KUNG. It just slided down a tree as everybody watched astonished, switching their gaze from Noah to a dead lizard not believing what they just saw. Wasn't he just supposed to tank and not have any damage? Everyone was happy at this result, except Noah and watcher from the side.

'That skill definitely costs a lot of mana... what a waste.' Alex knew that this was just one-time use.

'Just as I thought, acting on a emotion is always bad, why did I do that, I just wasted almost all my mana on a monster that would die from two stabs with a spear. I'm a idiot.' Noah was hard on himself since he knew this wasn't only fight they will have.

After Samantha healed Noah, with a basic skill, they got into formation with other guardian at the front and were about to continue, but voice from back line of a group stopped them.

"Hey, what's that?" One lady pointed out at something that was flying on top of a dead lizard's body. Noah approached it. After getting closer he could see it well now, it was a orb slithly bigger than a golf ball and was floating in between a ring. it looked similar to Saturn with it's ring. Noah touched it to see what happens, immediately after that it disappeared. "Huh?"

"Hey, check your stats."

Noah nodded to tall teenager with black hair and blue eyes. "My strength raised by 0.1. Also word Orb just floated in my mind after absorbing it."

'So this is how we raise our strength' Since there weren't levels Alex wondered how to get stronger.

"How are we gonna distrubud them from now on?" Asked arrogant kid.

"We will figure it out, let's keep advencing for now."

"No, it's not fair, you just want to take them all! I'm not dumb like others"

"Kid, stop talking, you are either gonna go with shut mouth or go alone." Noah said with commanding voice and dangourse gaze, he had enough and showed arrogant kid who was leader here, if he didn't like it then he can just go, he isn't gonna act like his Caretaker.

"Hmph. Fi-Fine I will go with you for now." Kid wasn't happy about someone not listening to him, on Earth nobody opposed him.

"Let's keep going."

As everyone started to gather up into a formation, nobody cared about a lizard anymore, only Alex stared at it, what he saw was another black orb. He quickly realised what it was. It was a soul. Alex left the group and ducked in front of lizard's body. Everyone stared at him, waiting to continue going. 'Stop wasting our time, hurry up.' thought almost everyone.

"Hey, did you find something? We need to keep going." Noah remained Alex they need to go.

"Nothing, sorry, i'm coming." Just as Alex jogged in center of a group Summoner started talking with irritated voice.

"Stop wasting our time."

"Huh? You think I care about your time?" Alex was a bit frustrated at this, but just answered with serious and cold voice. He wasn't afraid of confrontation. He will respect others until they start to disrespect him.

"What did you say you little shit! Seems like your Mom didn't teach you to respect others!" This was his chance to redeem his new found ego. His temper was already bad from previouse rejection and now even some kid that buys Machete as a mage has balls to talk to him like that.

"Jeez... Stop talking, does your heart still hurt from that rejection. Just cause you have rare class you think you are a big deal." As Alex was saying his just thought out insult with laid back atittued and with mockery voice he shooed him away with hand in mid air.

"Seems like you really don't have any manners!" Just as Summoner finished his sentence he started to charge towards Alex with full speed. "AAAAA" 'This guy is screaming for attention, literaly...' Alex showed a smirk. In next moment Summoner was watching tree tops, with dust in his hair. "Hey. Wanna keep going?"

Summoner, not saying anything just stood up, slowly dusted himself off and got into the center of formation with rage in his eyes and clinching his teeth and fists.

'That's what I thought, get back in the line.'

'Oho... this guy is not that bad.' Samantha was approving of Alex protecting her, but soon after, got back to full alert mode.

As they started to advance, with people staring at Alex for his speed in which he took down that guy, Alex started to think about what he saw when he picked up a soul.

'Let's see, so it increased strength by 0.05, so most likely I will get half of what you get from a orb, and probably it's gonna be same stat. So I had three options to choose after picking it. Machete, Soul Monster and me. Next to Machete it said 0/100 , does that mean I will have to wait for stronger monsters to appear or... souls can be stacked? Yes, that explains *Bank* that was on a right corner. Same thing was next to Soul Monster too. Well, for now I will only focus on myself, strong foundation is always most important.'

"Another one! Same tactic as before!" However, just as mages started to charge their spells, now little more confident in their aim, two lizards came from the bushes flanking them.

'
