That Time I Played A VRMMORPG.

Risa dove fast underwater thanks to her amazing speed and entered the swirling hole deep beneath the underwater lake in just a quick moment of time.

The scene changes to a more deep blue, the water seemed to have stretched wider and deeper, and Risa was swimming there as if she was a lone mermaid in the vast sea.

But, after diving for a minute, she started seeing interlink walls full of algae that branched out to many pathways. Risa stopped her movements while wanting to take a deep breath but unable to do so, she can only settle herself by moving onwards.

She solidified the route she had took before, the only path she hasn't been able to do is the most difficult part. It also might be where the dungeon really is headed because she hasn't fully explored it yet as she would run out of breath.

But today was different, she's fully prepared while she leveled her swimming and diving to a higher level.

Risa was thinking that it was going to be hard, but going left and right, she finalized mapping, tightening her grip on her short dagger and she continued to swim. (AN: I rather call it a dagger since it isn't that long to be called a short sword.)

After moving forward for a while, the notice from Kaede reached her head. It seems she can continue going to the path but she might drown before she reached the last part, she returned back in the moment and also to notify both over what's the situation.

It was easier to travel back since there aren't any monsters nor irregularities in the dungeon.

"Ha〜…Ha〜…" Risa rose from the water once again.

"How was it?"

Risa crossed her arms and rested her chin on one hand, "It's a little complex but I think I still remember the last path… so I think I'll try pathing the last option, it probably has the boss dungeon.. so for today I'll for two more before I stop~"

Kaede smiled, motivating her friend with an energetic grin, "Then… I'll notify you again!"

"Hehe~ At best, you can only relay one hour or she might not follow up. Are you going to defeat the boss after finding it?" Gram chuckled while inquiring.

Risa rolled her eyes, "Yeah! But don't use [ Power Augmentation ], only use your wind spells, I want to try defeating it with normalcy."

"Sure!" Gram agreed while being allowed to rub her head again, quickly after, Risa once again went deeper into the lake with a blushing while muttering under her nose.

Last time, she was able to go to the maze up to the middle, so she was moved there much faster than before, it seems he had increased the duration of the spells

One more time, she pondered for a minute and then went deeper and deeper to the last determined path.

And just like that, she reached the passage quicker than before while she had passed it, forgetting that Kaede's timer would echo by a minute now. Thankfully, there was a air bubble near the newly discovered place, so another roundtrip could be done without a hitch.

Risa saw a large pure-white door ahead of the passage. She made a small guts pose, before sitting underwater.

Risa wanted to fully prepare herself so that she wouldn't let away the chance of getting a [ Unique Series ] to join the duo's incredible debut. So she inhaled some air to get more swimming time and returned back while having a faster return score at the same time of being able to find the seemingly boss dungeon area.

As soon as she emerged, she smiled happily and immediately explained to the two. The only thing left is whether she could win safely but under the effective support and buffs, she thought she had more than 90% chance of winning.

"The boss room! I found it!…ha〜…ha〜… I'll wait after Knox's spell diminishes before going at it again! For the last time~" Risa took a small break while chatting with the two excitedly.

Kaede found herself curious as she asked, "I wonder about the boss the dungeon would have?"

"Isn't it a given? Of course it would be a fish!" Gram pointed to the top of the cave.

"A fish? You mean a huge massive fish or something, that kinda makes it a lot scarier but I won't be frightened about it." Risa nodded and thought it would make sense, although she thought it would be like a massive squid or other, although her imagination made her shiver a little but still made her blood boil in excitement.

"Ahaha~ Sally's so fearless in fighting huge creatures but are afraid of ghosts and stuff!" Gram snickered, Risa quickly raised her hand and denied.

"Hmmm! You're the only one who's afraid of g-ghost!" Risa clearly had some affliction towards those stuff, it's to the point where when she saw something that resembles it, she would immediately shriek and cry out of fear.

He rubbed his chin, and chuckled as he remembered a scene, "I remember during the middle school- she-"

"Uwaa! He's bullying me! Maple!" Risa hugged Kaede who's listening on the side with a smile.

Bantering like this eased her mind while she got more pumped about fighting the monsters. Similarly, the two had already expected she would complete it without fail.

An effective reprimanding from Kaede as she stood up, the council of wa- cute appeared, "Knox-kun is bad! A chop in the head! What other punishment would you like to do?"

"Break his bones! Here~ Here~"

"Ah! That's cheating hahaha~"

After being buffed again with support spells, Risa stood up and thanked the two again.

"Thanks for waiting for me." Risa smiled. They had been waiting for her, she wasn't bothered by it, and expressing her gratitude is merely because she's a polite and an honest girl.

"No worries, why so serious…" He chuckled lightly.

"Yup! Do your best and win!" Kaede motivated Rosa while they both pumped their fist up high.

"Un! I will return victorious!" Risa enthusiastically said while high fiving them again before walking towards the water. Risa's concentration got higher before she dived down, she looked at her status panel for some last reconsideration.

"The 90 unallocated status points, I won't place them yet… I'll try to win by dodging."

"What should I do with my status." Risa pondered, there won't really be any changes, she did what she can during the week and although she didn't have much time to play, she was still able to gain so many skills that made Kaede so dumbfounded and amazed.

"Yosh! I think this is enough… Let's go!" After Risa nodded, she fully commenced her strategic planning, she returned quickly to the large pure-white door.

The door opened slowly. Inside was a spherical room, and half of it was submerged in water.

The most important discovery for her is that there was oxygen to breath above water. With this, she didn't need to prepare for a quick fight to the end, she'll have a better chance to kill the monsters.

She inhaled air above and shouted arrogantly, "Puha… well then〜… Come!"

Risa's eyes seemed like it gained a red-like hue. And as if to answer her outcry, a light concentrated below and as it melded to a shape. A massive pure-white giant fish appeared. It's body is much larger than her, seemingly could devour her in just one gulping.

Although, a little disappointing, the attack of the giant fish was just a normal charge attack while it used it's giant body to do the most damage.

Risa didn't get conceited though, as a pro gamer, in every situation, one must be calm and calculating.

Risa easily saw through its movements, she twisted her body to dodge like a dancing mermaid. In the water, the scene was much more exhilirating.

She seems to be on the line of danger itself, since she only dodge with minimum effort but even so, the giant fish isn't able to hit her. As the giant fish passed missing it's attack. She used her red-violet shining short sword to cut through the scales and meat, with the addition of her AGI and DEX, her attack speed allowed him to do more attacks in just a second, been tripled.

"[Slash]!"

Under the red-like aura, the blade ominously released it's aspect with the addition of a violet colored coating glimmer on the tip of it, [ Status Debuff Attack II ], [ Burning ] and [ Poisoned ] started ticking.

Attacking filled the body of the giant fish with debuff. As her attack speed was fast, she's able to quickly stack. Adding that her agility was her greatest strength, it won't be able to stop her.

The debuffs did little damages, but the giant fish's HP was surely being shaved nonstop.

The giant fish turned around, and charged again. Risa dodged that using the same pattern, while shaving a bit of its health with a flurry of attack. She had already stacked her [ Consecutive Attack ] increasing her STR by a bit.

"[ Wind Cutter ]!"

A few red damage effects shone in the water. It is the magic that has the strongest power she had. It's power is strong enough to slightly damage its scales, removing it's one of it's defensive qualities.

It only charged repeatedly, while she couldn't be injured. Then, the giant fish's HP bar had been reduced to 80%.

In that moment, she concentrated, she heightened her senses and focused on the giant fish's movements.

The charge that it repeated the same might've looked the same for normal players, they would assume it's quick but for her who had a heightened senses in reality, she felt it was slower, it only made a large contrast when AGI and DEX are added to the scale of her sensory and acuity.

The giant fish stopped using its charge attack in the middle of the battle, it released an AOE [ Water Sphere ] to its front using its tail. Making a swirling water deep in the place. It then swept it's massive tail at her, but she quickly reacted.

Both didn't reach her, she could easily predict the movement and the place where the attack with its movement pattern, she knew it would change it's pattern again once it reached the lesser HP threshold.

She saw through the sweeping tail precisely from its body length, and by stepping over the water back once, the tail fin passed by in front of her.

Risa cuts through that tail fin with another slashing. "[Double Slash]!" "[Double Slash]!"

Risa had already stacked full, [ Consecutive Attack Strengthening (Small) ] doubling her STR.

Deeper in the water, the fight continued, the red effect entered the giant fish's tail fin twice and then another one.

At the same time, it's movements were being slowed by the paralyze poison debuff coating her short dagger. That actually made it more easier for her to dodge it's attack, the assume that the giant white fish is so frustrated right now.

"[Power Attack]!"

To the giant fish that had dull movements, the short dagger is stabbed to its body. With that attack, it quickly shaves a substantial amount of its HP.

Risa quickly pulled and moved some distance away. The giant fish's HP is already below 45%. It seems she had bypassed the next attack pattern threshold, the next tick of the debuffs would happily change its movement pattern.

On both sides of the giant fish's body, a white magic circle emerged and after a moment, giant bubbles appeared and headed towards her with a moderate speed.`

[ Water Ball ]! [ Dark Ball ]! [ Water Ball ]!

When Risa hit the bubbles with magic, the bubbles exploded with loud sounds and shook the waters in waves. That bubble couldn't be physically touched but it seems that any magical attacks it had received will make it path, evading flexibly while counter-moving when a bubble would explode like she's able to predict it's bursting time.

Risa who was evading around much more frequently noticed that the giant fish's movement pattern only had one specific action and that's to run after her after it used the bubbles that tracked her so slowly.

If it was only that, she immediately planned out a way to counter-attack.

While evading another spell, she turned back and made the bubbles explode using water magic. Risa adjusted her body through the momentary gap and attacked with her quick speed. Flexibly moving towards the back of the giant fish in two breaths.

"[Power Attack]!"

The red-line of the dagger cut a sharp straight line underwater towards the giant fish's back.

The giant fish had been deeply cut from its head, Risa's attack had magically crits because she attacked one of it's weak spots. Of course, she understood that, given that the giant fish lost 20% of its HP bar in an instant. She jumped towards its tail, just like that she cut a part of its tail fin with the blade a few times.

The moment the giant fish turned around, Risa had already evaded and fled before it could use again it's tail. When it spotted her from some distance, it raged and it shooted barrage of bubbles that's much faster than before and more numerous as it seems.

But it didn't make her alarmed in the slightest, it only made her conviction a lot more, given that it gave her another chance to attack it's back. She used a spell.

"[Wind Cutter]!"

The blades of wind passed through the bubbles like nothing, the bubbles now were much smaller, so the explosions didn't even reach a tiny bit of hair from her.

Until, the [ Wind Cutter ] found itself in the giant fish head tearing 5% of its HP, and finally, the giant fish's HP Bar was cut to %20 and was dyed red.

And at the same time. As if it changed it's attack pattern again, as the two magic circles on its sides disappeared and the giant room got fully submerged in water.

'This might be its last phase!' Risa tightened the grip on her sword dagger that emitted dangerous light.

Several magic circles that spawns exploding bubbles appeared on the walls of the area around her.

With a bellowing sound, the giant fish opened its large toothed mouth and from the inside, a large magic circle appeared shining stronger than the bubble magic circle from before.
