Not being able to play with Risa, Gram quickly assured Kaede before making her log out and do her homework. She left with a pout but not after giving him a kiss in the cheeks that left redness on her face. He wanted her to kiss him on the lips but given that she won't even have the courage to do so, and that could only happen if he was the one that initiated it.

Kaede didn't forget her naturalistic lovely action towards him, which made her so fl.u.s.tered, but she tried to remove it while doing assignments, but she kept getting bothered.

Looking above at the ceiling while imagining things, that effectively added more embarrassment.

Kaede got lost on her train of thought, "If I did that or did this... Ahh! What am I thinking about mou~~ I'm not doing any progress at this rate!"

Afterwards, of not trying to think about more unnecessary things, she started doing her school work while she somewhat reminisce the events that happened in the game. Fun and exciting, that it made school stuff so boring, bland and common.

After Kaede left, Gram waited Risa for some time and got a reply after some minutes of waiting. Given that she just finished her quest.

"Do you need any help? I'm free now so we could group up, if you plan to do something" He typed as he looked around the town, there were many advance player here and as it looked like it, many players are preparing for the coming event.

Risa replied nonchalantly, "I'm nearly finished, you should logout for the day. I bet you have much fun dodging with Kaede earlier~"

Gram said, "Hell I didn't even had to dodge, Kaede gained a new skill that's really good. It would been better if you saw it."

Risa felt fluttery as she twirled her hair while replying, "Mnnn~. W-well, I'll see it tomorrow, listen I have a surprise for the two of you as well..."

"Sure.. it better be good!" He motivated her for a while and before he left the game, he made use of [ Spell Creation ].

"You bet! Hehe~"

Used when, [ Burning ], [ Scorched ] debuff is active, convert existing debuff to a one-time burst damage. Damage 20 flame elemental damage multiplied by the time of the existing debuff.

+20% armor negation and +25% fire critical chance. Uses 250MP with a cool-down time of 5 minutes. Skill effectivity is dependent on the time of the previous fire debuff.

After leaving the town for a moment and trying out the skill, he left the game to start doing some home stuff.

Risa's new accessory acquisition was the [ Craftsman Bracelet ] gained from doing dungeons with the two. While her new skill was acquired yesterday, as she did a meticulous quest to gain the skill.

Additionally, she gained [ Master of Dual Wielding II ] when speedily attacking using her daggers, menial but it's really worth it to raise.

Risa grinned while walking relaxed, "After raising Mastery of Dual Wielding I to II it improve my attack damage to a great number. It would also help to improve [ Wind Cutter ] and [ Sword Fencing I ] huh... I want to try raising them again, as well as [ Status Debuff Attack III ], by then, my DPS would increase yet again.. it would also be good to have a better debuff damage… Un! I also got the defense ignoring attack skill which is really neat~!"

Prioritizing on attack damage instead of supporting, since they have Gram, the magical artillery, and support, she thought of focusing more on physical attack damage, although she didn't neglected her magical skills/spells.

After confirming, Risa heaved a calming sigh, closed her status and went towards her new destination. The next target was deep within the forest opposite of the deserted area that's was on the west of the town.

"I'll acquire the skill and keep it a secret, then I will surprise her〜! Assuming that Knox hasn't told her yet." Currently, she was trying to do one of the event quests with an male NPC that spawned all times in the forest but had a tricky quest to do so.

Of course it always generates but it takes effort and work as players have to quickly finish the quest within the time limit. To Risa, it was in her favor given her quick speed and pro-gamer mentality. (AN: Pro-gamer moments.. beans~)

Her target is the small house far within the forest, and succeeding an event there, she could obtain the superb skill [ Super Acceleration ], that can give her large boost in movement speed to get leverage in battles for the future.

Risa gulped in excitement, "The requirement is to have [ AGI 100 ], and right now, I had higher number than that."

Risa was strengthening herself for the first event she would take part. Of course, it's to follow up with both Kaede and Gram since she thought she would not contribute enough if she don't make any effort.

Although, there wasn't really someone who's motivating her, and it's just herself that wanted to get better at the game while accompanying them to greatness.

One of her best traits but although she would try to do things alone, in the end all she does it for the sake of them all, to accompany Kaede and Gram for the better, it might have made them reprimand her since she didn't tell specifics but nonetheless didn't stop.

"Yosh, I've arrived!" Pumping her fist, she arrived at a small house inside the forest. It was a log house, and surveying the house nearby, she saw a water wheel that was slowly turning at the half submerged in the clear river beside the house.

In front of the wooden log house, there was a small field and few chopped firewood that was probably left there after having enough firewood to use. The sounds of the small birds echo pleasantly making players calm and serene.

Risa approached the front lawn of the house, she knocked on the door and waited. After a moment, the door opened inside and the one that appeared was a long bearded man holding a staff.

The old man rubbed his beard, "For someone to come here, how rare... for the meantime, come inside. In these areas, there are a lot of dangerous monsters, you see."

The old man let Risa enter the house. Risa obediently entered the house, if she doesn't she won't get the skill.

The event will not occur, if the player AGI stat is low, one will be able to see that if the old man didn't respond or wasn't in the house.

Inside, there was only a few wooden furniture, a comfy place and it seems to have been moderately cleaned. Looking around, she saw the most interesting thing, at the top of the shelf, there was an old ancient looking sword that emitted a very noticeable presence.

After a moment, without saying anything, Risa sat in the available chair near the small table.

The old man then placed a teacup with tea in front of her. The old man rubbed his beard and sat across her, said. "You should drink, your body should get relaxed a little."

Risa nodded gratefully, "Uhm… thank you very much. Itadakimasu." She drank the tea.

As the old man had said, her body relaxed a little. Precisely, her MP was fully recovered which she had known already. It is unknown if it dictates HP recovery, but from the information, it is said that it would also recover.

The kind-looking old man stood up and said, "Fumu... you should rest for a while. I will go draw some [ Magic Water ]..."

When the old man finished, he gave Risa a glass bottle. A blue colored panel appeared in front of her.

Stating to accept the quest while having the details of the quest itself with a prompt of [ Yes ] or [ No. ].

Risa pushed the Yes, and accepted the quest. The [ Magic Power Water ] was immediately found out by the non-combat players as soon as they got to the second stage.

They couldn't bring it out from the spring with whatever possible way they could try.

Of course, they were able to drink it in that place and recover MP, but it is impossible to bring it back.

The only way it could be brought out the spring was using a rare glass bottle that was passed during this similar quest like what she's doing.

But, that will also disappear from the inventory after an hour. It means, it was just material prepared for specific events, of course, in the future, there might be a way to exploit it.

Risa stood up, "Well then, I'll go now! Thanks for the tea old man." The old-man NPC sat down with a grateful expression.

"I'm sorry… I'll count on you."

And, Risa jumped out of the log house towards the springs. She looked at the map indicator of the quest.

The monsters that are inhabiting the forest here are only three types. The first one is the Big Spider.

[ Big Spider Lv: 25 ]

As its name is, it was a large spider. Its size is about 1 meter and it's spider thread attack that binds the target is very troublesome. Not that she would be troubled by it, but it's attack leaves a sprout of thread that slows down anything that touches it. Of course it still isn't able to do much to her given that she could use spells on the go.

[ Big Spider Lv: 20 ]

The second one is the Sleep Beetle. A beetle that has status debuff attacks that make its target gain [ Sleeping ] debuff. Its size is only a little bigger than the normal beetle, so it is a scary monster that is easy to overlook and receive a surprise attack from.

[ Big Spider Lv: 27 ]

The third one is the treant. Implied to mimic normal tree's, and is also good at surprise attacks.

But, it had a differentiating characteristic and that is, it had a red fruit sprouting which was different from normal trees that didn't have it.

Knowing that beforehand, all the chances to be ambushed had been avoided. But, even without that, the attack range of its branches and roots are long, as a lot of players had already experienced it, they will be blocked on all sides and quickly lose.

Risa ran through the forest with her speed; while somewhat being cautious as she had. With her sneak skills [ Hiding Presence ] leaping from trees from time to time, no monster noticed her.

And, she properly arrived at the springs for about 30 minutes because of being a little careful.

"It's beautiful..."

The waters were clear as it can be seen shining faintly, it shimmers to the surrounding trees and flowers like sparks of stars, glowing with incandescent light, truly a fantastical scenery.

To the great spectacle, Risa stopped on her feet for a while and viewed the springs admiringly.

Afterwards, she drank the spring waters to try it out, it immediately recovered her MP used earlier, just like MP potions, she heightened her concentration. It was beautiful but freaky as there weren't any monsters near. Of course from the given information, she wouldn't be careless enough.

"Let's do it..." Risa drew the water to the glass bottle and put it in her inventory.

A one-hour countdown appeared on her view, and if she cannot reach the log house within the time limit, the quest will end as a failure.

And, the monsters that did not notice her before had angrily roared around, they quickly started running nearby as if waiting for the moment she got the shining water.

"I should go…"

Risa glanced, and jumped to the forest and ran quickly. While the unpleasant sounds of the spiders and monsters echoed around. The climax of the event really starts from there. The path that took 30 minutes to do, would be increased due to the monster blocking the path.

To obtain [ Super Acceleration ], she must go through this test and not being able to finish it will hurt her pride.

While she segways from trees to trees, threads of silk coming from spiders sounded as they started shooting their attacks. If these hits, she would be bound and it would be her end.

Risa fully focused on running saw a ton of sleep beetles suddenly dropping down out of nowhere, with a leap in the air, she used, "Yo, tto! ...!! [ Mirage ]!"

Her phantom from the perspective of the monsters got squashed and distorts its shape, as it melted in the air. While glancing at the scene for a second, and without trouble, Risa broke through the swarm of the sleep beetle.

"New one! That's bad… tto!" As she leaped again, from below, sharp tree roots sprouted and tried to reach her out. With her HP, she would surely die with one hit.

While Risa dodged the tree roots, she also checked the changes in the surrounding. There were three trees that had red fruits with it, it definitely is a mimicking treant.

As she moved from different places, she followed up with a spell, " [ Fireball ]!"

The blazing ball of fire hits the slow-moving treant and burns violently at its trunk. The treant's angry voice echoes throughout the forest, it had been easily identified due to it's differentiating feature and also given that she had [ Sensory Awareness ] and [ Sense Presence II ].

"This is…!! That might've been a miss… I should have aimed at it's head too bad I was moving at high speed." Risa attacking had caught all nearby monsters' attention. Of course with that, she could easily identify the treant's position.

"[ Mirage ]!" Risa made a phantom of herself that runs towards the direction of the springs.

The beetles got easily lured by that, but that isn't the case for the other monster like the spiders. They probably have some kind of awareness skill, as they continued moving towards her real self-position.

"It wasn't effective! [ Slash ]!" While dodging the spider threads, two consecutive attacks had been showered to the spiders. Their HP bar had been reduced, but there's still 30% of it. She had no time to deal more damage as she had to move at haste due to their fast attack pace. She had to deal with strings, roots, and sometimes surprising beetles.

"Damn it!... the treants are too annoying…!" Risa snickered, in addition to the enormous number of enemies, they were moving as if each of them had different purposes as if using different strategies laid out in one exact planning.

On top of that, the spider's AGI was quite high. It wasn't as fast as she was but still, could agilely follow distance behind but unable to keep up so they only shot using their attacks.

In the first place, that's only natural since it's a quest made for AGI based players to complete it.

[ Ocean ]!

From her feet, thin water spread around, [ Ocean ] is capable of slowing monsters standing on it. She turned around and headed towards the nearest spider chasing her as she then plunged her dagger two times before quickly moving to another one.

"[ Slash ]!… [ Wind Cutter ]!"

Slashing through the roots and branches of unassuming treants, she had removed two spiders but she didn't stop to attack the other and quickly move forwards again.

The distance between the spiders gradually opened again. But it was also wearing out her focus. She would be caught if she stops running, but this is inside the forest.

The trees were crowded, the bushes beneath the feet, and there might be mud somewhere. She had to think about treading carefully, even with her high movement, her brain is overworking to identify any threats. If she got caught because of her negligence, the situation would only be the worst.

Luckily, she had more AGI than average AGI players had, if she's compared, she would be the best one that had the most superior movement speed stat in the game. Of course, not adding those broken a.s.s players that had discovered different ways to play the game.

Risa heard a flying sound with her ear, and turned around. "Beetles again?!... No way!"

The monsters that inhabit this forest are "mostly" three types but there was an exception. Right, there was another type of monster that is so rare to encounter, even doing the quest, it's so rare to even meet, but if you meet it during the quest, the player would quickly lose the quest itself, defeated due to the new monster.

[ Wind Dragonfly Lv: 30 ]

Approaching from behind, was a giant dragonfly. As its name is a wind dragonfly, attuned with the wind so naturally, it's very fast compared to its normal counterpart. High-speed ability while it can use wind magic itself and very fast at linear flying especially when there's no obstruction.

Luckily she could deal with it since they were in the forest, "That's still too unlucky!... damn it…! [ Wind Cutter ]! [ Thunder Cutter ]!" She threatened the approaching enemy, shooting blades of wind and thunder so that it dodged.

At that juncture of time, there was no time to fight. She could only run while distracting them sometimes using [ Mirage ].

As even now, the distance of the monsters didn't even seem to stop as they seemed to have been boosted in AGI that could keep up with her. The wind dragonfly after evading saw her phantom and quickly eviscerated it with it's wind magic.

Then, wind magic passes through her body with the sounds of cutting wind. While dodging the wind magic using the trees as a shield, she spread out the water of [ Ocean ] and checked the spiders. Sadly, the sleep beetle wasn't affected by the slowing water but they weren't unscathed by [ Mirage ] as every time they will be fooled to attack her counterpart.

Just like that, while she was running, she was once again surrounded by monsters that had appeared towards her destination.

Impatience appears in Risa's face.

"What should Gram do in this situation? Spiders coming from the front while… Treant from the left. Ahh.. then I'll go right for now!" She still had an advantage given that she could easily maneuver in this stage, while she had the map indicator and sensory skills to top it off, it's tiring but she could definitely hold out until she reached the end.

Using her quick thinking skills, she chooses the optimal path to the old man's wooden hut.

By the cover of the dense trees, it made it harder for the dragonfly to catch up.

Three treants in front of her move. Of course, there was no time to make an opponent of them.

Sipping an MP pot, she used two [ Fireball ], [ Thunderball ] to cover her and then, turning towards her left behind a tree.

[ Mirage ]!

A phantom of herself appeared running fastly towards a different direction.

The treants easily fell for it and shot out tens of its sharp branches towards her phantom.

At that moment, the wind dragonfly also got tricked as it headed towards her phantom with quick pace but at that moment the branches crashed at it, as it couldn't completely dodge the branches due to it's momentous attack (does it?), and as a result, it's wings had ripped broken due to the collision.

Even if it was the rare wind dragonfly, it couldn't completely dodge the unexpected attack of its forest compatriots, ultimately, it didn't have any aggression to its ally.

The wind dragonfly had its wing broken, so its speed had slowed down considerably.

The most difficult hurdle had been removed, "Chance! Thank you! You really saved me! Treant-san!" Thanking in her heart, she moved, bypassing the treants that had been tricked.

With a burst of a somewhat maniacal laughter showered her heart, and it felt like the treants had heard her ominous laughter as their cute woody faces scrunched up.

The other monster like the spiders had already been left out. The distance had opened up. It also seems that monsters aren't appearing again in surprise, given that she was nearly out of the deep forest.

The wind dragonfly shot wind magic at her while sounding creepy, it was like a kind of desperate attack that had no way of reaching her due to the distance.

Holding to her knees, she reached the wooden house. The monsters that had been following had stopped their aggression.

"Ha〜…ha〜… Arrival!! Ha〜! Seriously, this is the most exhausting quest ever… fuhh~!" Risa slid her hand on her 'sweaty' forehead, she felt like it could be doc.u.mented.

It might be good to tell the quest itself, as it was exhilarating, Kaede and Gram would even proudly give it a 10/10 rating. Somehow, thinking about it made her smile.

It took her 40 minutes of focused momentum. Risa knocked at the door of the log house.

"Old-man… I have returned!"

The old man opened the door, "Ohh! I have been waiting for you, thank goodness that you're fine, thank goodness…"

Risa who broke through close, deadly situations made a subtle smile on her face, but the old man did not seem to care about the hint of gloating on her face and continued to talk.

Rubbing the beard, "Fumu… I have to give my gratitude… let me see, come here for a second." Beckoning to her, she entered the wooden house. After saying that, the old man brought out one scroll from the drawers.
