The Akuma

Chapter 25 - Life 25: Koken Huh? Fated Guidance?

'Hah erase all the Zombies you say, it's harder than it sounds.'

These Zombies just keep hopping back up until I smash their brains in, as then they die but without this they keep on getting back up.

Thought Akuma as slowly his motivation allowed him some rational thoughts. But as time passed each Zombie he killed became fewer in number than the ones he killed before.

It meant that he was close to killing these insidious beasts. As blood spilled on the earthy ground Akuma's feet made devilish footsteps in his wake a cross between a human and a wolf's foot became evident as he left small craters in the ground.

At this point he was sure he'd killed over 60 zombies, nonstop as each and every single Zombie got back up more than twice causing him immense fatigue.

As slowly his mind began to feel hazy upon his slaughter and soon only his instincts were left precisely his offensive instincts as his new heightened smell allowed him to predict where each being was and where to strike.

As his armours gauntlets began changing shape allowing Akuma's now sharp claws to scratch at the undead beings dealing more power than before as even his fists were enhanced granting him instant kill upon the Zombies.

Now the ground had become maroon red as it's once earthy brown was nowhere in sight, making one think if this was what the ground always looked like.

But regardless of how sluggish and fatigued he became Furuichi never let up as each swing of his aimed for the heads in a one hit kill effort.

He wanted to end this as soon as he could, he couldn't bear to let millions of people rot away and then die as undead cannibalistic beasts.

However something disturbing caught his eyes, every single one he'd killed suddenly stood up again as they emitted a black smoke like aura that fueled them all.

Without hesitation and on his last breath, Furuichi dialled Shiori on his Com-Ring instantly- 'Shi-chan, quick Answer ME... These Zombies I've made their brains mush yet they stand up time and time again what should I do- I don't get it no longer, Quick Reply.'

Once hearing her beloved masters tired and fatigued words, she replied immediately as she gave him the answer to his struggles.

'Master use fire against them it's super effective against Zombies once they've been turned to ash then you'll know your job is done, also Master I can sense that a mysterious force will arrive within the Dam in a few seconds- Be Careful...'

And with that the sentient being ended the call, with Furuichi relieved as he knew now what to do in order to kill these Zombies.

So without further ado he grabbed a lighter from his Henshin Bracelet that also served as a storage space.

And with the lighter he used his telekinetic abilities and spread the flame as he chucked it up in the middle of the dams entrance catching the zombies by surprise before he launched out at the speed of light and kicked every zombie from each direction into the center below his seemingly frozen lighter.

Before reducing his speed and returning to his previous location. And when he did so the lighter now fully lit and spread out by Furuichi's telekinetic abilities engulfed each Zombie one by one as they were like dominoes falling against each other.

It was a sight to see but gave him a smile seeing that he'd dealt with the Zombies.

But as he did this, soon armoured vehicles from all corners appeared seemingly surrounding him, before a lady with long blonde hair appeared in front of him seemingly the leader she had an aura of dominance emanating from her very core.

As she had on a white fur cloak that fluttered behind her while she wore elegant glossy boots giving her an unparalleled and elegant appearance.

However her otherworldly appearance didn't faze Akuma as he merely gazed at her before he asked his questions.

"Just who are you, and what do you want- Wait for this many armoured vehicles and so many people you surely have to be from the government it only makes sense as the police confirmed to me the other day that special forces like yours do exist in the various federation departments."

"And judging by all the recent supernatural cases happening I found each case was handled by a mysterious department called 'Koken' or also known as 'The Guardians.' It's obvious you must be the federations secret department created to combat supernatural and otherworldly threats."

"And if I am indeed correct, then your here to hire me and also help me in my predicament of cleaning the area up and removing any traces of Zombie remains."

"Clap, Clap, Clap..."

After his analysis waves of applause sounded out as the leader in front of him gave him a small grin before continuing.

"Your right Akuma Guardian Devil of Kurama City... We indeed are the federation's department for Supernatural and Otherworldly threats- and recently the amount of cases around the world involving either of the two have risen almost ten fold."

"I'm sure you don't want me to bore you with the details so I'll say this quickly my name is Tenjoin Alexis ... Akuma will you join us in our quest for peace and justice for our beautiful motherland called Earth from Supernatural and Intergalactic threats?"

This wasn't even a question he was the Cosmic Warrior of Justice Akuma, and this was merely a pebble under his steps to elevate him slightly higher to his goals.

"Yes I'll join, though I don't think we should talk about this now, we'll have to check the insides of the dam and see if any residue fell within it... So are you coming or what?"

With that Akuma paid to no heed to the blondes objections as he headed I to the dam but once he did so his heightened senses allowed him to sniff a very peculiar scent a scent familiar to him due to fighting all this time with the Zombies.

'Yeah that must be it, this must be where the remains had been left after fighting me.'

So without further ado he headed towards the scent and by each passing step he noticed that the hint of blood increased each time until he had hit a dead end.

There was nothing there or so it seemed as without hesitation he punched the walk in front of him and what appeared afterwards was a room a laboratory at that.

With this new evidence found his heart began pumping erratically as he found out that this lab was always near the dam and it meant that whoever created this lab could have released these Zombies at any time they wanted to.

Which meant that whatever nefarious wild scheme they had was happening right now as the Zombies were used as bait to lead him here so that his scheme could come to fruition without Akuma's interference.

As he became angry his eyes glowed as gold similar to the weird yellow moon as his eyes widened while his body growled in anger.

'I Was Played- Everyone... Their All Gonna Die... I'm An Idiot!!'

He was played, the devil was played- and it didn't sit well with him- no he was angry, no beyond angry he was maddened by such a situation where he'd been played the fool.

He was a foolish devil, he could imagine the mastermind right now laughing as he saw his desolate figure clutching against the wall.

At this point however the blonde had caught up and headed directly towards him in an attempt to check whether he was okay, or feeling well as she felt saddened seeing the lovely Akuma fall so low.

You might not know but Akuma's presence was something that caused civilians from all corners of the federation to keep their hope, their will, their happiness, and their joy.

He was the number one hero who was the symbol of peace and justice.

Causing countless people to fall for him though they didn't see his face they all imagined him to be a Bishounen- but oh how right they were.

If they saw Furuichi's face they'd faint due to his looks, but as I was saying he was considered as a noble and upright person a kind and genuine person who put his life on the line for others.

And Alexis just happened to have feelings for Akuma, as she had what you'd call a hero fetish.

She'd always liked heroes from young and so worked her b.u.t.t off to become part of the special forces and when she'd heard of Akuma.

It was like her childhood came crashing back to her as she fell for the mysterious phantom known as Akuma who resided within Kurama City, which just so happened to be where she lived in as well.

She felt it was fate that guided her to him and him to her, as if they were special soulmates created for each other and so couldn't help but comfort the man she was fated to be with.
