The Alpha King's Mate

Alexander's POV

'Please come find me... I need you.. We need you..'

A stranged voice had me woked up and abruptly sat up from the bed. I scan my eyes around my room but there's no one in here but just me. It was strange for this hadn't happen to me before. It was like there's someone with me here in the room and whispered to me those words. The voice was soft to hear but i can feel she's in so much pain.

I lay down again and rest my arms on my forehead.

'Am i just dreaming?

It can't be true. It's just a dream. And besides, how could it be possible be true when there's even no one with me here.

I mentally squabble against myself thinking if it's just a dream or if it's even true.

'I felt her. I felt she's in deep agony. I think she needs help.'

My wolf hadn't been worried like this. He's pacing back and forth inside me, he wants to go out and itching to cut someone's head off. He's anger increasing and to think that if it was just a dream and we don't even know who is it.

We don't even know what is it, wolf. I'm just so confused right now. And this suddenly that strange voice had me too worried and felt like i want to snap something or someone!

It suddenly made my blood boil. I don't know why but i really felt like i am going to explode any minute now.

This is not good. We can't be like this for just that strange voice inside our head! That voice repeating over and over again! It keeps whispering unto me, pulling me towards her and i don't even know where and how or what and why did this suddenly happen to me?

'Why do strange things suddenly keep coming? First, with the problem with the rogues especially from the poor unmated shewolfs. Second, with Denise who's suddenly showed up here and lastly that strange voice calling to me.'

'I want out! Let me out!' roared my wolf.

I can't explain what's happening to him. Why do he felt very affected to that strange voice. I had no other choice but to let him out and run to clear out his agitation. I rose up from the bed and went out to the balcony of my room. I didn't bothered anymore to get dress for i didn't have to do it. I will be shifting into my wolf form and putting a shirt and pants will be useless.

I hauled myself up from the railings and stand. I closed my eyes as i let him take control and jump. I jumped out from the balcony, shifting midair. My bones crackling and extending, skin turning into fur. My bloods rushing through my veins as my body reacts and adjusting on transforming into my beast. It just takes seconds for me to shift into my royal black wolf. Landing on four on the ground, standing on all it's might. My wolf is a large one compared to a normal average wolf. Being the King of werewolves, my wolf form has a massive body, sharp fangs and claws, long and solid hard legs and paws. And a very strong sense of hearing and sense of smell.

Before running into the deep forest, my wolf howled up above calling in to no particular someone and ran his way into the forest. I watch him ran as fast his legs take him, easily dodging the big trees on his way. Running freely into the wild, as i felt the rushing wind through his black shiny fur. I can feel the leaves whispered and rustled in the breeze. His right ear twitch from the sound he was hearing. He turn his snout on the right and change his direction running from his right. I felt his pulse accelerate and his speed gets faster. Upon nearing the end of the dense forest, i sense we are closed from a water for i felt the air suddenly change into a fresh one and i hear a splashing sound. He slowed down his pace and hide behind one of the trees. I saw a stream just closed to where we are and a deer was having a drink from it. He wait for the deer to finish off from drinking and saw that it was heading his way back into the forest. He silently wait for the deer and remain hidden behind the tree.

He just let the deer run back inside the dense forest and let him run away from him.

'Poor little deer' i muttered to myself. For i know even when the deer ran away from us, my wolf would easily hunt him down.

When the deer was out of sight, he started to ran from the path the deer had taken. He love to chased his prey. It gives him thrill from hunting them down. From the way of his speed, we were easily near closed at the deer.

The deer suddenly got tensed when he sense us not far away from him and increase his run. But even when he run faster, my wolf is way more faster than him. Tailing on it's back, my wolf jump up from the air and landed hard unto the back of the poor little deer. His claws digging deep on it's skin and we stumbled rolled through the dirt with the deer fighting his way out from my wolf's tight gripped. The deer ended up yelping when my wolf bite hard on it's neck until it's gasping for air and his bloods bursting out, staining my wolf's fur. My wolf cruelly lavish the poor deer until his thurst subside and his satisfied from his hunger. Now that he had let out the hot fury building earlier from him, i take control now and him curling back inside me. I started to run back from the castle leaving the deer's dead body behind.

Nearing at the castle, i stop running and shifted to my human form still with the blood's deer covering half of my body especially on my face. I walk out of the trees and saw the patroling wolves. Once they saw me they didn't dare to asked their Alpha King but they just silently bowed down and continue  what they are doing.

Walking my way back into my room, something suddenly bumped and hit unto my feet. I looked down to see it was a ball. My eyebrows furrowed curious at the ball.

'What do a ball doing here? And why is there a thing like this here?'

Annoyed from the ball, i was about to get rid it and kick it far away from here but the sudden yell of a little voice had me stop from doing it. I look up and saw a little pup running on his little feet heading towards the ball.

"You?! What are you doing!" He continue his run and pick up the ball like he didn't see me "Why are you -" once he had the ball on his little hands he suddenly look up to me and scream in horror.

"A monster!! Monster blood!" he continue to scream "Mommy! There's a monster blood!" then he started crying.

"Will you shut that little mouth of yours!" i was really pissed with this one "Now i'm the monster blood? Not the monster with no clothes huh?" i was really had no thing when it comes to kids. My patience is so little when it comes to them especially like this annoying little one who kept calling me monster with different kind of monster according to what he sees!

He keep screaming and calling his mom and it really makes my head hurt "If you don't stop crying, i will throw your ball far away and you will never have a ball again! Understand!" but to my dismay he cried even more which made my head aches get worst. I scrunched my hand on my face and cursed.

'Do i really have to deal with this one!?'

"Oh, c'mon ofcourse your the Alpha King" tease my wolf "It's your duty and responsibility to everything and anyone under your rule to protect and serve them. And teach them. Like that little pup infront of you."

'Seriously?' I mentally roll my eyes like a shewolf usually do.

That is why maybe i don't have patience with pups for in my family we don't have one and one more thing is maybe that  i don't have a sibling. I don't have someone with me growing up to take care of and to deal with.

Now, i wish i had a sibling little pup to know what would i do to this one.

I called out to one of the patrol guards and ordered it to take away the pup out of my sight before i could lose my patience and do something that may harm him. As the guard carried the pup away, a furious Denise came out from nowhere stomping his way to the guard and snatch the pup unto his grasp.

"What do you think you're doing!?" she angrily roared to the wolf guard. On the other hand the wolf was startled to her and was just about to reply when suddenly Denise punch his face "Don't ever again touch my son!" then she turn to my direction and walk towards me leaving the guard bewildered.

"And you!" she angrily said "What do you think with this pup? A some kind of a toy that you just want to get rid off?" she carries the pup in her arms that is still crying "What the hell is your problem!?"

"Don't you ever talked to me like that! I AM YOUR ALPHA KING!" i roared to her, towering her. My boiling anger coming off of me making her body trembled and her wolf submitting to the power i behold. While the pup had stopped from crying but had his face shook in horror.

"I just had the worst day and now do i need to be concerned with that pup?!" i glared to her which she took one step backward shaking her head at me "What? What do you even think of yourself? Showing yourself here just like that! Give me a damn good reason, Denise!"

"You want to know why? Why i got back here after you leaved me and got rid of me! Throwing me away out of your life!" she put the pup down and face me, her c.h.e.s.t heaving up down.

"You know the answer to that! Why did i no longer want you in my life! For f.u.c.k.i.n.g sake, Denise! You already know it from the very start but what did you do? You fooled me! You lied to me!" i was really fuming with anger now that the passed had to be taken out again that i had long buried deep down. I stepped closer to her, our bodies are inches apart "Now, you f.u.c.k.i.n.g tell me why do i even need to see you after all what you've done" i hiss at her my voice is low and hoarse. I look into her eyes, searching for truth.

"I will tell you why" her voice was suddenly just a whisper and she turn her back to me to get the pup whose feeling frightened and confuse "Mommy?" ask the pup but she didn't mind the pup's questioning look. Then she face me holding the hand of the little pup beside her.

"It's because of him" she look down beside her "I came back, because of him."

I suddenly sensed her sadness and sincerity the way he talk about the pup but i also felt something telling me that there is more about what she is saying. And about what she said, that she came back because of that pup, what did she mean?

"What do you mean you came back because of him?" i was baffled and glared to the pup beside her. I was sick and tired of her unending suspense "As i said before Denise, why you couldn't just tell me straight to the point as to why?! What's you're reason to show up here? You really want to tease me huh? To get fun of me? Is that it?" i balled my fist from the anger that's increasing minute by minute "Is it not enough what you have done last two years ago? What have you done to me?"

"Please, listen to me Alex. I'll expla--" she said pleading to me to hear her side of her story but i cut her off "Shut it Denise! And don't you dare call me by that name! You no longer have the privilege to call me like that!"

"Just listened to me once and for all!" she now raise her voice for me to just let her explain "I came back for this pup's sake! And you all need to know that! You need to know about this pup!"

Just to end this damn conversation with her, i took my silence for her to continue. She look me in the eyes before she speak and look down once again to the pup "This little one here is precious to me. I hope you would try to understand the nature of being a pup and be patient with them. Be patient to him" then she tear her gaze to the pup and look up to me "I hope you will treat him good and be kind to him because you need to know that he--"

The sudden sound of a two wolves running had me turn a round and Denise didn't had finish what she was about to say for the two wolves interrupted us and came up to me abruptly. They stopped infront of me and shifted into their human form.

It is not new for me, for us especially to Denise to see a n.a.k.e.d man for this was our nature of being a wolf.

The two wolves bowed down after shifting and address me "Your highness, Alpha King Alexander Gabriel"

"What?" i sense the wolves worried, their heartbeats are accelarting fast.

"My Alpha King we are one of the wolf warriors with your Beta Paul. We have already searched the northern area and Beta Paul had ordered us here immediately to report and relay his message to you" the warrior on my left had the one to speak up.

"And what is it?" i was itching to know what do Paul had to say and had sent these warriors abruptly and had them relay his message instead of him reporting to me personally.

"First, my Alpha King you need to know that we already found the rogues hiding place" said the second warrior.

"Then that is great!" i felt relief at the news i got and was good now that we had already found those damn rogues!

'Atlast, a good news. Now, that just made my day a bit good.'

"How about the unmated shewolfs? Did you also found them?"

"Yes, my Alpha King. We had already rescue the unmated shewolfs that they had taken and they are now on their way here."

"Here? Why? Why not send them back immediately to their packs. I'm sure their families are worried for them." i was puzzled on what's happening.

"It's because they are in badly state and we can't just send them back to their packs on their current condition" the look on the warriors face was unexplainable. I can feel their different kinds of emotions pouring out on them "Beta Paul said they need to be here at the castle, to give the right treatment for the unmated shewolfs and to feel that they are protected."

"What happen to them?"

"I--i can't say it right here, my Alpha King. It is confidential, you need to know it privately" the wolf warrior got tense and look up behind me to see that there's a shewolf and a little pup present with us. I didn't bother to look at Denise and didn't care now to what she was about to explain earlier to me about the pup. There is more serious problem i had to face right now than her.

"I understand. Now tell me, what do Beta Paul had to say to me?"

Before the wolf warrior on my left continue, he look up to his side at the wolf warrior beside him. Their face both had change into a stern expression then he continue to speak "We had also found their leader, which they called Alpha rogue but he got escaped from us."

"A-and he was carrying a shewolf with him. I think she's also one of the unmated shewolfs. But she's the only one with the rogue and from what Beta Paul saw was that the shewolf was badly wounded" continue the other one.

"What?! You let that f.u.c.k.i.n.g rogue escaped from all of you!" they both bowed down their heads from the shame of letting the rogue ran away "What do Paul doing? Why did he let that rogue ran his tail away!"

"It's because Beta Paul was horrified when he saw who was the Alpha rogue."

Confusion clouded me "What? And why is that?"

"Beta Paul was stunned and was frozen in place when he saw him" he gulped hard before continuing "After seeing the Alpha rogue he sent us here immediately. He said that we need to report to you who is the Alpha of the rogues."

Damn these suspense! Why couldn't they just spill it already! I glared at the both of them "Just f.u.c.k.i.n.g tell me!"

The wolf warrior stuttered in fear "Be-beta Paul said that the Alpha rogues name was Malka. He called him Malka."

What? Did i heard it right?

"What did you say?" i ask the wolf warrior to repeat what he just said if i heard the name right or if it was not the one i know.

"The Alpha of the rogues name was Malka" repeat the other one.

I was bewildered to what i just heard. A gasp from behind me had me clenched my jaw. It was Denise who was also surprised to what the wolf warrior said. I can sense Denise's heart beat pounding hard and she tightened her hold to the pup.

'No. It can't be. It can't be him' i mentally repeat it over and over.

"F.u.c.k it!" bellowed my wolf and i shifted to my wolf and started to run my way to the northern direction leaving Denise behind with the two wolf warrior.

'I had to go there. I need to hear it right from Paul.'

My wolf ran fast, his paws digging deep on the dirt with the intensity of how fast we are running. As i sense the two wolf warrior had followed me and they just howled to me for i ran faster than them which they couldn't keep up to my pace so i howled back for them to know to just keep following.

So many had happened in just a day. So many things had added up more to my confusion.

'What do Denise had to say to me about that pup? What do i need to know about him?'

I was growing more and more impatient now a days and was damn exhausted thinking too much.

And now, this f.u.c.k.i.n.g news i heard! This is not happening!

Paul had better be ready. If it's him that they are referring to, then i need to act fast!

Why do you have to do this, Malka?

'If it was really you..'

And one more thing that confuses me is that the wolf warrior had said that Malka was carrying a wounded shewolf?

Why?

And who could that be?
