The Alpha King's Mate

Alexander's POV

It's been a week had passed after the battle with the rogues. Many of my warriors had been injured and some are severely wounded but then again it's a part of a war and for them it was the victory that matters most. To fight with all your heart and soul to protect the one's you love. And as for me, I had fought with all of me just to save her. Even if it takes the life of the man whose been closed to me and ending his life with my own hands.

'Not again' said my wolf irritatedly 'How many times we have to talk about this huh?'

"I know" I retort back "I just-" and then I heave a deep sigh and shake my head at him and didn't respond anymore. Lifting up the comforter from my body and stand up from my bed I walk straight to the bathroom. Stepping into the shower letting the warm water pour down on me while my thoughts drifted back from all the happenings the past few days.

A week had passed, many things had happened and done. The problem about the shewolves had been solved since some of the rogues had died on the battle and few of them survived and are now all locked up in the dungeons. Soon will put their lives to death to thoroughly be gone the mark and pains they had done to the shewolves. They are the reasons of shewolves sufferings especially the tortured feeling that they can't be able to feel the bond to their wolf. The only solution with that is to end the lives of the remaining rogues and so no one would ever commit the same crime again and for all to witness of what kind of punishment will be cast upon them whoever dared to try to harm the kingdom - My Kingdom! I will not let anyone to just destroy the lives of my fellow wolves! By killing the rogues infront of everybody will be a warning to them all that I, their Alpha King will not tolerate their misbehaviors and mistakes or crimes! Every crimes will have consequences that they have to face. So they'd be better be good or else they will face my wrath!

I tilt my head up, letting the water run down my face. I took a minute more under the shower just feeling the nice water on my skin to calm my nerves from all these stressful and all the pressure I was in. It was a tough week for me and my wolf. The burden knowing your mate is still unconcious and she's in deep sleep after she had collapsed in my arms that day. I took her immediately in the castle and had the best doctor to check her especially her wounds all over her body. I couldn't stop myself from barking orders to the doctors to heal her fast and do anything everything they can to treat her well and heal her fully. The castle was in full swing, all the staffs, the maids even the guards are all distressed and their wolves felt anxious and disturbed the way I give them orders on what to do. They all felt my anger on heights, I nearly go bersek on the second day to the doctors as to why is she not waking up. I was afraid she might not wake up and just sleep forever. The doctors said her body is taking it's time to heal. She was overly hurt and so exhausted that her body gave up from the multiple pains and injuries she got. And so every day and every night I stay by her side and didn't leave her even for a minute. I personally take care of her, cleaning her body up to changing her clothes and never let anybody or anyone touches her except only her doctors. There are wires connected to her c.h.e.s.t to monitor her heartbeat and an oxygen mask on her face to help her breath.

At night I sleep beside her bed on a small couch and hold her hand. I would woke up in the middle of the night to her screams and cries while she was still in deep sleep. Even in her sleep, the tortured and sufferings she had been through haunting her never leaving her. I felt tormented to see her crying and her face that's full of hurt. I don't even know what to do. I would call for her doctors even in the middle of the night and soon the castle would be awoken also from my loud and angry roars.

The doctors took a syringe containing a yellowish liquid and was about to give it to her. My wolf felt furious at first to see her mate would be hurt from the syringe and what kind of medicine they would be giving her that might get her harm and won't woke up anymore. I tried my best to rein him in and just let the doctors take care of her. He had no other choice but to follow and keep silent at the back of my mind. After the doctors injected the yellowish liquid unto her arm, slowly her body would calm down and her cries would died down and her erratic heartbeat would be back to it's normal beat. It rends my heart to recall those nights and I couldn't do anything but just to hold her in my arms and whispered soothing things on her.

Turning off the shower and head outside the bathroom. Droplets of water dripped down on the floor. Grabbing the towel I dried myself and grab some clothes to my walk in closet. It's just yesterday the doctors even Paul had convinced me to take some rest and let them take care of her. I was stubborn at first to never leave her side but Paul was right, I had important things to do that are now long pending at my office waiting for me. I really didn't want to leave her but I had to. My wolf was frantic at me to not stay beside her mate even I didn't want to leave her room but we had to. I am still the Alpha King, I have important things that needs my attention and be taken care of. And so I got out from my bedroom and head straight to my office.

I spent hours at my office, finishing some paper works and doing some calls to the packs outside. Sitting on my swivel chair, I lean back and stretch my arms over my head, cracking my neck. All these works made me felt more exhausted and it made my head hurt. I had to make some calls specially to the Silver River Moon Pack, Alpha Ace's pack. Now that he's dead, the pack now needs a new Alpha to lead them. I had to appoint the Beta of the pack just for temporary until she wakes up. I closed my eyes and sigh. I found out that my mate was the daughter of Alpha Anthony, the brother of Alpha Ace. Ace killed his own brother even his father just to be the Alpha of the pack.

How cruel and selfish bastard he was!

I didn't know he was this so sick holding to little power he had. All the informations came to me about him made me clenched my jaw. He had caused my mates misery and left her grieving for her parents by killing them infront of her! And made her downcast and humilliate her infront of her own pack!

Now I know why that day she killed Ace. How much anguish and hatred she have against her uncle. Her heart was filled with so much sufferings and pains that her wolf couldn't hold back anymore. And when we had free her wolf out of that desperate foolish bond, she had unleashed her mysterious power to protect and seek vengeance for her human side and that is to kill the man who had caused them both all the hurtful things happened in their life. The way how she end that f.u.c.k.i.n.g shit serves him right! It was brutal but it was the rightful way for him to die like that! Hence, if I would be the one to kill that bastard I would tear him into pieces!

My anger slowly building along with the pounding ache on my head.

I need to be beside her to calm myself. I need to see her right now.

I stand up from the chair and was about to walk up to the door when it burst open and heard a familiar voice.

"He would be surprise to see us!" The voice squeals.

I furrowed my eyebrows and raise my eyes towards the door to see my mother along with my father.

"Surprise!" My mother literally squealed with delight and hugged me.

"Mo-mother" I stummered and hugged her back. I gave a questioning staggering look towards my father who just shrugged his shoulders at me.

"Look at you! You look so-" she twirled my body examining every inch of me like I was a little boy that had gone play on the dirt "So not you" she hold my cheek both of her hands "Oh my poor son. Look at what had done to you being the Alpha King" then she turn to face my father "I told you honey he's still young to pass down the responsibility to him!" she glared at him and my father just walk up to me and pat me on the shoulder then turn to walk towards the couch and sat comfortably not minding my mothers icily stares at him.

I took a deep breath before speaking to her. "Mother it's okay. I'm fine"

"No you don't. Your father and I heard the news at what happened here. I was so worried and so we rushed back to get home and see you!"

"Correction. You're mother insist me that we should go home a.s.a.p" my father said chuckling while shaking his head at my mother.

"What?! Aren't you worried to your son? What could've happen to him without us here? You're unbelievable!"

"I was worried too,honey but I know our son. I know he will lead the kingdom right and he would do the right things and what's good for all the werewolves. And I know that he is strong and powerful like me!" He said then laugh.

My mother let out an angry growl towards his mate.

"Mother, father is right. I can handle the things here. You don't need to be worried about me. Besides, you and father are done with these kind of things, you shouldn't be stressing yourself and just enjoy your time with each other. "

She breath out and turn to me "Aren't you happy to see us? To see me?"

"Ofcourse I'm happy! I'm glad that you are both here but--"

"A-huh no buts!" Mother interrupted wagging his finger at me "We are still your parents and I am still your mother. We can do whatever we want and get back here whenever we want! Besides your father and I had already spent enough time and now we need to be here for you son" she look me in the eyes with so much love and care.

A mothers love is really unending. Even if I'm a grown man now, he still treat me like a child.

"Ok mother if you say so" I responded with my hands in the air surrendering to her. And we all laugh.

It's good to see both of my parents are so alive and well. They just look like in their mid 30's! But they are exactly a hundred years old! You will never thought that they are actually my parents for they look young!

I watched them both across from me, sitting in a couch wrapped around with each other, cuddling each other like I'm not in the room! While I fill them up at what is happening inside and out of the kingdom. But even though watching them like this is making me embarrass, I am glad that they still have that effect with each other. The passion of their love is still burning inside of their hearts and I am one lucky werewolf to witness this kind of love.

And that they are my parents.

I let out a cough to break their attention at each other. My mother's eyes turn to look at me with her cheeks painted in pink!

"Are you alright son?" She stands up from the couch and walk from me, putting her hands on my forehead "Are you sick? Are you not feeling well?"

I hold her hand and stand up from the chair. She was giving me a confused look while I look her straight in the eyes.

'Tell her now! I'm sure she would be very happy!' Urged my wolf, sitting at the back of my mind wagging his tail like a puppy.

I inhaled deeply and look behind her to glance at my father who had already stand up and walk beside his mate and put his hands around my mother's shoulder.

"What is it son?"

"I had something important to tell you" switching my eyes between them "Father, Mother I already fou --"

A loud knock from the door had me stopped. Without waiting any response the door burst open and one of the doctors came in looking pale.

"My appologies Alpha King. Something is happening to her, you need to see her right now."

I gulped hard at what I heard. My heart pumping fast sending my blood flowing fast. My mother and father turn to look at me with brows knitted together.

"I'll both tell it to you later. But for now I need to go."

I let go of my mothers hand and walk pass them and out of the office while I heard her calling out to me. But I can't make out the words she was saying for my mind was occupied of my thoughts at what could possibly happening to her?

I hurriedly walk my way to her room. My long heavy strides echoed on the hallway. Until I reach her room but before I entered I closed my eyes and took a deep breath and braced myself to see what's happening to her.
