I felt so suffocated by the sea of people who were trying to maneuver around me, dammit legs! Work with me! This is exactly the feeling I had in the past when I was sent out on missions with tons of people around, no matter how much I try I am simply frozen in place. As I see Carly, slowly making her way to me bit by bit, I felt a glimmer of hope. Not long later she was standing directly in front of me, she held onto my hands and dragged me out of the crowd. The worse thing isn't the students walking out of the school gates, it is how they are standing and not moving at all causing human traffic, at least I had a legit reason to be rooted to place, everyone else is just simply staring at their phone playing this 'we bare bear' game.

Once we were free from the crowd I did not even manage to say a thank you before Carly started bombarding me with questions. "Are you alright? Are you hurt? What did my jerk of a brother do? Why isn't he with you, he should be taking care of you! You poor thing." The weird part was when she was questioning me, she even did this slight hugging action and was even patting my head at the same time, at this point, I feel like a pet. I felt stiff and awkward in her arms but I still replied "I'm alright no worries, I think it was due to the number of people and I am still new to the school area so I am trying to get used to the environment but who knew my brain would have a panic attack all of a sudden." I tried to shrug it off as deep down inside I knew that it was all because of the past. After which she seems to realize how stiff I was and took a step back to give me a breather. "Alright then, take your time to slowly adapt, I assure you that you will love it here! By the way, where is my brother?"

"I am sure I will too." I gave her the most convincing smile I could muster, but at the back of my head, all that I was thinking was that there is no point trying to adapt as I will be out of her in no time once the mission ends and I just want to get it done as soon as possible. "Hello, Emily, you there?" I didn't even realize I blanked out and was only snapped out of my thoughts after Carly started waving her hands up and down in front of me trying to get my attention. "Y-yeah I'm here, I'm so sorry, I have literally the attention span of a fruit fly, my brain will start processing random stuff and I will blank out." (Fruit flies have the shortest attention span in the animal kingdom according to scientific research.)

She wiggled her eyebrows and gave me a 'hmm interesting' look, "So. . . My brother didn't bully you and nothing bad happened right?. . . " when she said bully, it sounded like she didn't mean the actual bullying but more of a provocative suggestion. It felt like I was caught red-handed so I hurriedly brushed it off and quickly changed the topic. "Nothing happened! But something bad did happen, I met some huge wolves and I thought I was going to be mauled and become food for them. But luckily Alvin saved me from them, I know this sounds crazy but I swear the wolves seem to back off when he is around." Once those words left my mouth, I felt Carly tensing up but returned to normal right after.

"You sure have a huge imagination, anyways, see you tomorrow, I think I hear Ricky calling, I will be going now." She babbled, even though she stopped tensing up, after being in the line of assassinating for so long, I can at least tell when a person is nervous and hiding things from me, and at this moment my guts are telling that Carly is hiding something from me and there is definitely something going on between Alvin and those wolves. I did not expose her or try to make her stay any longer, she rushed off as I just stood there seeing her back view slowly getting further and further with distance until it became a dot. That was when I took out my phone and texted Mr. H for him to come to pick me up, all I want right now is my bed and a nice long and warm shower.

Ricky's P.O.V

As I saw Carly gave chase to Ryder, I surely won't let her be on the shorter end of the stick, so I quicken my pace to try and grab hold of him for my precious to treat like a punching bag. But before I could catch him, he ran into a crowd of mindless students who were crowding outside the school gates while looking at their phones. Even though this method helps by slowing me down drastically but he must have forgotten that he is in the crowd as well, Ryder was more agile than I am so he got out of the crowd quicker but once I made my way out, he still couldn't get away from me as my speed far surpasses his. As I grabbed his right arm as tight as I can to stop him from getting away, he started thrashing and flopping around like a Magikarp from pokemon trying to free himself but to no avail. "Dude stop trying, I may be the 3rd in command but our strengths are about the same, you should now prepare yourself for the worst, I shall hand you over to Carly."

"Noooo Ricky, you've changed! What happened to bros before hoes?" At first, I still felt slight sympathy for him but once he indirectly called Carly a hoe, he can kill off any thoughts or wishes of getting any sympathy or even getting away. I ignored his cries of help and turned my head around thinking that Carly will be just right behind me, but I'm sure you guessed it already. . . She isn't anywhere to be found. After realizing that she isn't there I heard a sigh of relief coming from Ryder so I turned my head back and shot him a glare. "You are going to get it from Carly and me both later on back at the pack house, don't you dare think this is over." I tried to say it in an intimidating tone, I wasn't really angry but how dare he insult my precious mate! He nodded his head repeatedly, "Alright, alright geez. . . " he raised his arms up as if surrendering.
