The Assassin And The Alpha

Once we got off the car, I was still partially confused wondering what was really going on, why would Emily be staying in that house and what did the guy mean when he called Emily a traitor. Alvin started dishing out orders to us telling us what to do and after which Ryder and Ricky followed him while I dragged Emily along with me to get her settled down. I chose the room beside mine and it is one of the best rooms in the pack house as there is a secret walk-in wardrobe.

At the start I was still worried but once I thought of how it will be fun having Emily around and furthermore she is the future luna so it will do good for the pack as well, with that thought I couldn't help but get excited. "You can have the room beside mine and we have so much to do, we can go shop for clothes at the nearby mall and there is a new boutique opening a few days later!" I continued showing her around the room.

Alvin: Is Emily done settling down?

Carly: Soon, I have not shown her the walk-in wardrobe yet.

Alvin: Are you serious? Leave the wardrobe for, later on, please bring her over to the meeting room, there are lots of things she has to explain to us.

Carly: B-But. . . Fine.

"Em we've got to go, Alvin is calling." She looked at me confused.

"But I didn't hear him calling." Emily caught on to that point really quickly which reminded Carly that her mind linked her and not yelled out to her.

"Oh, I am sure he called, maybe it was just too soft so you couldn't hear it. Let's go already let's not keep the guys waiting!" I tried to cover it up and held onto her hand dragging her to the meeting room not leaving any time for questions.

The moment we've reached the meeting area we could see the trio sitting at the end of the long table in their comfortable leather chair, with Alvin in the middle, Ricky on the left and Ryder on the right.

Ricky patted the seat by his side indicating for me to go over and I did while Emily followed by my side but once we've reached the seat, I sat down and Emily was pulled towards Alvin. I couldn't help but chuckle a little seeing how cute they look together, she seems to be struggling at first but gave up resisting and simply sat on his lap just like how he wanted.

"Hi." Ryder started the conversation with an awkward hit.

"Ignore him, anyways Emy how are you feeling?" Alvin said totally ignoring Ryder's goodwill of breaking the ice but ended up making it even more awkward.

"I am feeling a little shaken up that's all," Emily replied while I sat there quietly by Ricky's side simply listening. Ryder rolled his eyes at Alvin's reply about ignoring him and sat there without retorting which is a huge surprise.

Emily's P.O.V

Sh*t what am I suppose to tell him? The truth? What is it will bring more harm to him, or even to the rest. . . I was in deep thought as I struggled with the dilemma of whether I should open up or not.

"I-I. . . If I tell you all, it will get everyone here into danger." I was hesitant and worried what sort of threat will I bring upon them if I tell them the truth and what if they have a negative reaction, it isn't every day someone comes up to you and say 'I am a trained assassin and my mission was to take your life but I went against my mission, oh and by the way my 'father' is the one who gave me the mission.' Like honestly speaking, any normal human will freak out.

"Please Emy, you don't have to worry we can protect ourselves, isn't going up against that girl and coming out totally fine proves that I can take care of myself?" I thought about it and what he said kind of made sense. "But what about the rest beside you?" I looked towards Carly and the rest.

"Don't worry Em we're not exactly pushovers either, besides. . . Ryder." Carly joked and when everyone heard what she said at the last part they all broke out into laughter but not Ryder, if looks could kill I bet Carly will be the first to drop dead.

"Alright, I will believe you but. . ."

"Nooo, why must there be a but, it is exactly like the terms and condition which no one reads or understand but they simply accept." Carly let out a groan.

"Just listen, if you all, excluding Alvin can beat me in a 1 v 1 fight then fine I will tell you." I challenged as I wasn't really sure on the rest of their fighting or defending ability so I do not want to risk their lives. Even though I may not be as good at Kelly but I am still able to hold my ground and at least find opportunities to get away so if they can defeat me then it should be no problem.

"Yass lets fight!" Ryder was the first to jump out of his seat getting all pumped up and ready while Alvin doesn't seem to like the idea that much and the rest all looks unsure.

"Em, I am sure it ain't necessary," Carly said it while her eyes held a sense of urgency but once she said that Alvin seems to relax.

"But I have to know that you all are capable to protect yourself or I will not breathe a word about anything." My answer was resolute and I spoke firmly. Everyone besides Ryder all looked a little troubled. "Don't worry it is just a friendly fight I have been itching to fight these days." Ryder was excited and all warmed up but before we could start fighting, Carly gave suggested something.

"Why not, you and I have a friendly match, if I can win you then the guys will be able to handle themselves as well, is that okay?" I thought hard about it while everyone was looking at me even Ryder was quiet and waited for my answer.

"Hmmm. . . Okay then. But I won't go easy on you just because you are a girl and we are friends." My tone was serious and there wasn't even a hint of joke in my voice.
