The Best Shinobi

After having dinner that night, Menma went to his room and slept. The next morning, his father had already left. He also woke up early and had breakfast with his mother.

While eating breakfast, Yuki spoke.

"Son, don't use that jutsu, alright?"

Hearing her words, Menma smiled and said "I know, mom."

"I am glad that you understand. There are no first or second stages to that Jutsu. It is a pure fraud. Unfortunately, your father looked so happy that he finally managed to buy his son a gift, I couldn't tell him that it was fake." Yuki sighed.

She knew her husband has spent a lot of money on it but this was his first time giving his son a gift that his son deserves. She couldn't say anything at all.

"But, he will be pretty sad if you don't use it. Well, we can try to fake it or do something else." Yuki sighed.

"Mom, actually this Jutsu isn't completely wrong," Menma spoke.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Yuki didn't cut off his words completely but rather got curious.

"From what I know, Raikage's Lightning Release Chakra Mode allows him to create the Lightning Armor around him. That makes him the strongest shinobi."

"But, even without Lightning Release Chakra Mode, he is still strong, very strong in fact. The records in the library clearly stated that he fought Ten Thousand Shinobi for three days and three nights and finally died because of Chakra Exhaustion."

"Currently, Naruto is someone with the biggest Chakra Reserve inside Konoha. But, even his Chakra wouldn't be able to hold Lightning Release Chakra Mode for three days and three nights."

"What I mean is he used his own body rather than that mode to fight against those 10000 shinobi. Last night, I looked through this Jutsu and find out something really interesting."

"Although it doesn't state how to use Lightning Release Chakra Mode it does stats how to improve your physical strength with Lightning Affinity Chakra."

"That means father wasn't tricked. And, Mom, father is a businessman. He has established a strong Restaurant Business in Konoha. How could he be fooled that easily?"

"Although he isn't a Shinobi, it's not like he doesn't know other shinobi. But, don't worry, I will analyze this Jutsu a few more times, before finally practicing it."

Hearing his words, Yuki sighed "Alright, if you say so. By the way, how is your Medical Ninjutsu?"

"I have mastered Mystic Palm Jutsu." Menma smiled and answered.

"Wait, what? You mastered it already?" Yuki's eyes widened. Menma Chakra Control wasn't that good. So, she had to spend a lot of time in his training.

More importantly, he was also training other things so it was hard to get a lot of time for Medical Ninjutsu. She has only taught him Mystic Palm Jutsu a few weeks ago. She didn't expect him to master it so quickly.

"Mom, I might not have much chakra but I am not talentless. And, I learned a lot of things from the library enough to give me a proper base for all kinds of Jutsu. Anyway, I should leave now. My Jonin teacher will be assigned today."

Menma stood up and waved his hand at his mom.

Seeing him leaving, Yuki couldn't help but mutter.

"Maybe… Maybe my son will reach Jonin Level."

Muttering those words, a big smile appeared on her face.

At this moment, Menma was already running toward the academy. In a few minutes, he reached outside the academy. He saw some of his friends entering the Academy.

"Menma" "Menma, you finally arrive."

"I really thought you were going to be late." "Man, it is our first day as a Genin. I am excited."

Seeing them reacting to his presence, Menma smiled and followed them.

Inside the Hokage Office,

Sarutobi was sitting on the chair while smoking. In front of him, five people were standing. One of them had silver hair and a mask on his face. Another one had a well-built body and smoked a cigarette.

Then, another one was a lady with a pale face like the milk itself. There was another person next to her who had ponytail-style hair that resembles a horn and a goatee. He wears the standard Konoha Shinobi uniform.

And, finally, the last person had a bit of a lazy look on his face. He looked handsome and young. He had brown shoulder-length hair and wears a cloth over it. He had a trademark Senbon on his mouth.

Sarutobi looked at all of them and passed the envelopes to each of them.

"Genma Shiranui, this belongs to you."

"Suzaku Nara, this belongs to you."

"Kurenai Yuhi, this belongs to you."

"Asuma Sarutobi, this belongs to you."

"Kakashi Hatake, this belongs to you."

"This time, the number of Genin who graduated has increased. You can check your students and ask me anything you want." Hiruzen Sarutobi spoke.

Everyone looked at their own envelope and the first one to react was surprisingly Suzaku Nara.

"Lord Hokage, I don't understand. Why isn't my daughter or my nephew on my list? Shouldn't I be the perfect one to teach them clan Jutsu?"

"Oh! Now that you mentioned it, I seem to have received your daughter as my student." Genma made a remark after looking at his envelope.

"And, I received your nephew." Asuma spoke.

All of them strangely looked at Hiruzen who puffed out smoke from his pipe and said "While you can teach them your clan Jutsu, it won't put them out of your wings."

"Remember, once they become Genin, they will go out for missions where they need to participate in bloody battles and only those battles can help them improve. If they are under your wings, they will never fly."

"More importantly, if I sent them to your team, the famous Ino-Shika-Cho will break. As for your daughter, hmm… Let's just say that your daughter has received quite an amazing teammate."

Hearing his words, everyone was surprised. Genma looked at his envelope and asked "Menma Izuno and Okinawa Torru? Are they special?"

"Why don't you find out yourself?" Hiruzen smiled and asked.

"Murasaki Kurama, Beni Sarutobi, and Kotaro Fuma. Lord Hokage, did you place this team under me because of Murasaki?" Kurenai raised her head and asked.

"Yes!" For this question, Hiruzen didn't even blink to agree. Originally, he was planning on sending Hinata Hyuga, Shino Aburame, and Kiba Inuzuka to her team but because of Murasaki's graduation, it changed.

Kurenai is the best for teaching someone Genjutsu and the talent Murasaki was showing off forced Hiruzen to make this change.

"But Lord Hokage, Lord Haishi personally asked me to take care of Hinata." Kurenai spoke.

"It wouldn't be a problem, would it? Suzaku is far more capable to take care of Hinata. And, right now, you already taking care of another person from the Kurama clan. So, you also have some experience over that." Hiruzen replied.

Hearing his words, Kurenai didn't continue to disagree. She nodded her head and put the photos inside the envelope.

"Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. Hmm!!! That's quite a match you gave me, Lord Third." Kakashi was surprised by the match-up in his hand.

"Out of all, you are going to be in the most trouble. Naruto being the Jinchuriki must be under the eyes of someone strong. Sasuke is the only survivor of his family and has the Sharingan. You will be a perfect teacher for him."

"And, Sakura, well, I had to include her to make up the team. Originally, Naruto's strength was very underwhelming due to his lack of Chakra Control but he had been training with Menma, Okinawa, and Murasaki for a year now and has become a lot stronger."

"So, he might become reckless in the battle. So, you must take care of him." Hiruzen explained.

Hearing his words, Genma turned his head at his envelope. He was very curious about his new team.

"Alright! Do you have any questions?" Hiruzen asked.

"No, Lord Third!" Everyone shook their heads and left the room.

Hiruzen slowly turned his head at the ceiling and sighed.

'New batch of Genin have finally entered the new stage of life. I wonder how many of them will survive. Since there aren't any wars right now, I hope they will live longer to become stronger.'

'Who will inherit the Lord First Will Fire in this generation?'

Unfortunately, he didn't have the answer.

Back in the Academy,

Iruka Sensei just finished lecturing about their upcoming Jonin Leader. Soon, few people entered their classrooms. There were nearly fifteen of them, Genin, in the classroom.

The first one to arrive was Kurenai. She looked at the crowd and spoke.

"After I speak your name, follow me without raising any questions!"

"Murasaki Kurama, Beni Sarutobi, and, Kotaro Fuma!"

After they left, Asuma walked in and spoke.

"Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, Choji Akimichi."

After they left, Suzaku entered and spoke.

"Hinata Hyuga, Shino Aburame, and Kiba Inuzuka"

Finally, Genma entered the room and spoke.

"Menma Izuno, Jeme Nara, and Okinawa Torru."

Hearing his name, Menma was really surprised and he was in ecstasy when he saw his Jonin Leader.

Damn! Fourth Hokage Guard Platoon Member?

He didn't know he was so blessed. He hurriedly left with his Jonin teacher. After that, nobody came in. This left Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura dumbfounded.

What the heck? Where is our Jonin Leader?
