"Bai Lu, can you pour me a cup of water?" Lin Xiaofei said. She was sitting on the chaise beside the window and massaged her head.

"You told me to come back home." Qu Xing Xu said and met her eyes.

Lin Xiaofei drew her eyebrows together and frown, "Too fast." She remembered sending the letter not long after what happened yesterday and yet, Qu Xing Xu arrived too quickly.

"You don't like it?" Qu Xing Xu mischievously smiled and before he could let her comprehend what he said, he tried to change the topic, "The matters I have to take care of is done. I finished it much earlier than I expected. What are you doing out here?"

Lin Xiaofei was silent for a few seconds as she realized that the uneasiness that she was feeling earlier was gone. 

"I was bored." She said and wanted to step away and put some distance from him but she felt a hand on her waist, stopping her from moving.

She snapped her eyes at him and Qu Xing Xu chuckled once again, "Bored? From what I've heard so far from Gu Yan, I don't think you should feel bored at all. You have been quite busy while I was away and here I thought you would feel lonely and think of me."

Lin Xiaofei's heart skipped a beat after she heard the last part of what he said. Being reminded of the fact that he occupied her mind more than before was making her feel warm inside.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Lin Xiaofei put her hand on his chest and tried to push but he immovable just like a mountain.

Clearing her throat, she glared at him and said, "I would rather think of anything else than think of yo--" 

She didn't get to finish her words when she felt his finger on her lips. It didn't last long as he took it back and with eyes wide, Lin Xiaofei watched as he suddenly raised the finger he used to touch her to his lips.

"I missed you." His voice was soft and almost like a whisper.
