The Birth of a Villainess

When Lin Xiaofei got back to the Lin family residence, she ordered every servant in her courtyard to not disturb her and shooed them away.

After closing the door and hearing the sound of footsteps of the servants walking away, Lin Xiaofei felt her energy being drained as her whole body and sat limply on the ground.

The room was already lit with a scented candle and made the room warm but the pain in her heart chilled her to the bones.

The reason she went to Bai Hua Lou was to see how Chu Chu was doing as well as to discuss the matters of the box that she stole from Concubine Xian. However, when she saw her friend in that kind of state where she's neither living and dead, Lin Xiaofei didn't know where she could turn to and cry.

She badly wanted to confide to Chu Chu and tell her she was 'Xiaofei ', but knowing that it will only agitate Chu Chu, Lin Xiaofei didn't continue with her plan.

She didn't know the details of what really happened to Chu Chu but knowing Yu Fangzhu's method, he must have sent some people to drive a knife to her heart using their words and stories of Xiaofei's ending.

She lost a lot of things from her previous life and keeping her emotions and sanity was a difficult task even after rebirth.

And with what happened today, Lin Xiaofei felt so helpless.

Song Yan Yi and the First Madam, Wu Jing Yan, were having a light snack in the Second Lin family's courtyard.

When Song Yan Yi went to the Eastern courtyard, the words of her clashing with Lin Xiaofei was spread immediately like fire. Everyone in the Lin residence already knew of this but the entire detail about what really transpired in the Eastern Courtyard, thus, Wu Jing Yan came to ask.

"Second Furen, is it really true that the Chu family broke off the engagement?" Wu Jing Yan asked the smile on her face contradicts the worried tone of her voice.

The matter of breaking off the engagement was already out in the open after the servants in the Lin residence gossiped about it while working and Son Yan Yi also didn't conceal it as she said, "Yes, I also heard about this from father. It's a piece of sad news to know that Fourth Young Miss might not marry because of this."

"It is indeed awful news." Wu Jing Yan took a sip from her cup and continued, "But this is good news for us."

When Song Yan Yi heard this, she raised her eyebrows but didn't oppose her comment.

With Lin Xiaofei's engagement ruined, Lin Xiaofei would no longer be able to find a good high-ranking noble family to marry.

Thus, Wu Jing Yan didn't hide her evil intentions and told Song Yan Yi.

A few minutes later, Song Yan Yi also smiled along with Wu Jing Yan, their sinister smiles was becoming more evident as they continued to talk.
