THE BLACKLIGHT

In the afternoon news, citizens of Imperium, looked in horror, Raizen Supermaxim's one-third of its portion, collapsed down near southern sea, under regular civilians who were at the beach that time, heavy machinery fused with overheated plasma materials crushing down upon them. Provide more collateral damage.

Level of destruction so massive and exposed, when the tragedy becomes so controversial, even Brittonia, its Ministry of propaganda and censorship couldn't hide the fact.

However, there's little hope—

Lieutenant Miyako Fukumori, Ilza Orihara, Renkik Yito and couple other survivors escaped in time, hijacked Raizen aircraft, before all went down.

"Where am I?" Miyako murmured, when vision becomes clearer. Lying down in an air transport with the rest of them.

"At the aircraft, heading towards the Medical Hub in Green Zone," Ilza replied piloting the aircraft, as he has experience with one of those, "Consider yourself lucky that we found you in one piece, lying unconscious, the rest — either dead or horribly mutilated we couldn't recognise who is who."

Turned around she ogled at poor sad faces of the survivors, covered in bandages, which reminded her.

"... What about Tsutsui Claire?"

"Umm... Claire...is..."

After a minute of silence Renkik response—

"Sorry Lieutenant but we... haven't found her. That all of them... Sorry again... To pick bad time to explore Raizen,"

"She's dead anyway— along side rest of the squad.", Miyako remarked gloomily.

"What makes you so sure Lieutenant?" Renkik asked numbly.

"The one who killed her, rȧpėd her first — supposedly to be a friend, before torturing her, squash her head apart like watermelon..."

"Lieutenant... Whom you talking about?"

"Don't know for certain. But I met the real Redtron at basement level in search of Claire."

In the flashback Miyako slowly remembers: encounter with Athena, dressed as Redtron. And the Real Redtron, callously knocked her out but let her live. His real identity, the face she couldn't remember, possibly his magical Hikaru-Eye made her forget his face, made a blurred over his face while tormenting her. However, gradually question arising—

"Why he spared you, unlike the rest?" questioned Ilza.

"Don't know... He will save me for last, but would nonetheless 'destroy me and then Brittonia itself,'. He then knocked me out of consciousness, before stating that I would otherwise become a martyr and cause Brittonian military from every TYZ sectors to rally behind me 'inconvenient demise'."

"Quite convenient isn't it?"

"Ilza stop that, haven't we suffered enough?" .

"Think of me all you want. But I know what I will do...—"

"Lieutenant Fukumori you can't you're wounded--!"

"Shut up Renkik! Those cheap medical kits won't help anyway."

Despite gravely injured — slowly Miyako stood up straighten her posture, released herself from the belts and medical saline needles. Intensely panting for grief and emotional distress she'd suffered, Claire's brutal death by the hands of her childhood friend boosted the motivation she lacked,

"Last conversation I had with Claire whether or not I be joining the SDW (Special Divisional Wing) force. That time I had no answer, but now I'm thinking enlisting in."

Miyako and the others aren't only one who suffered this soul-crushing cynical world.

Like her and the team. Hyoubu Masamune Terrarium 8th company division bȧrėly get back alive from Tibetan Expedition with a mutant who claims to be Darkfallen-Variant, only to be verified by Supreme One Ichiro Kyousuke which he did eventually after Terrarium Knight troops returned to Green Zone's Imperial Palazzia. Shocked everyone, although the discussion went classified.

"Yes. Sosuke Cesare. Was indeed a Darkfallen Variant. A human turned into mutant, using the blood samples of recent the Darkfallen's specimen, the individual otherwise being known as the Second Redtron. And the hazy hole your squad teleported into is called the Fallen Gate."

"Um...Sir...?"

"Yes, Second-class Knight Lord Masamune, what is it?"

"Would you elaborate your answer? Thing we saw in there. There— those aren't the low-level mutants inside the lairs... Me and me squad saw there—the sheer size of variety of Reredos—"

"What you saw in there remains within this very room!"

".... You already knew...!?"

"I had my suspicion... Besides what would you do instead?"

"What I about to tell you is beyond classified and non-existent to you all. But I believe there will an imminent attack by the Reredos, numbers largely unknown. Traveling through locations the same Fallen Gate I just mentioned. Their motives are also unknown. That be all, thank you gentlemen..."

And Ichiro lastly said, ending the briefing...

"And whoever still suspects Sosuke Cesare's loyalty there is bio data in the Imperium's website. Here's the drive. Look at up Captain Masamune and the Fallen Gate used by RMS's Royalists and many mutant cultists to get into their sacred cities, city of Caledonia for example, used only by a mutant sorcerer, after obtaining enough experience, activated the gate. I know it's absurd and fantastic to you as the context. But have little faith to your leader."

"Sighed. No Supreme One if you vouch for him and his Moderate faction that's good enough for me—"

"No-no please read the ȧssessment. I don't want any confusion... Is that clear, Lord Masamune?"

"Yes, Supreme One."

Masamune took ȧssessment file Ichiro humbly provided. Playing on the way out of the briefing...

Although Masamune was vaguely under expression of Ichiro's intent, as he cannot distinct from Ichiro's serous and sarcasm tone as Ichiro always have a stoic composure.

As the Supreme One and the Commander of the Brittonian Imperial Army, Ichiro renowned for his attributes of High intelligence, leadership, deception, political and military authority, strategy, interrogation techniques, manipulation, Noryoku-blade combat, mastery of battle strategy.

And his words seemly genuine – through Ichiro's provided info, Sosuke Cesare's history soon to be revealing:

Before meeting Kaseko Arima (The deceased leader of Capricorn Union, also known as Scarecrow), Sosuke was a juvenile delinquent, having been arrested at least once. Instead of calling the authorities, however, Kaseko, impressed with the boy and believing he needed to curb his criminal tendencies, took him into his organisation. Despite him as ordinary human.

Joining Capricorn Union in search for companionship. Which Sosuke found through Capricorn leader Kaseko's teachings, his ideals, sense of optimism heavily inspired him.

As a shy and reserved person, being around with few friends. He was extremely gentle and appeared to be optimistic most of the time. beneath his altruistic, naive and gentle nature was an underlying fear of being alone that was aggravated by his family's death. He despised the idea of solitude, hence he tried to protect those dear to him so he would not have to face his fear of being alone in the world.

Became the victim of Redtron's terrorist bombing campaign loss both of his legs at age of 19. Not accepting his fate Cesare ȧssigned himself to the MRC's Code Phoenix during start of its creation.

Sosuke Cesare is a Darkfallen Variant made along side with Code Phoenix however, couldn't survive the operation, the doctors declared him as "failed specimen", discarded him from the Phoenix Program then Sosuke's corpse risen back to life. Found himself in gutter. Healing his injuring, reborn as "The Children of the Darkfallen" (the long term used by the non-mutant or regular humans to all Darkfallen's beings and creation)

Later- After death of Capricorn Union leader: Kaseko, finding out RMS's co-operatives and Redtron behind it.

Cesare pledged to crush those who dared threaten his place of belonging. This displayed that he accepted the "mutant" within him; instead of being influenced by it, he appeared to have become the one to surpass it. Cesare became ruthless, cruel, and brutal in order to protect his friends, vow to extract revenge on Redtron and his group: Fraternity for several reasons, specifically with his illegitimate abusive exercise of power over the Mutant beliefs to cause the havoc over his 'place of belonging'.

Yet he managed to maintain complete composure. He no longer feared his Mutant side and was more violent during battles, never lost a single fight. Collected several Fallen Stones.

"Another tragedy caused by Redtron, turned an innocent human into violent mutant. For how long will it go?"

Masamune mused, walking out from the Palazzia.

Cesare has criminal and violent tendencies underneath which disturbed Masamune. Sosuke proved not to be a saint when he claimed to carry on his master's wishes, to create a world for humans and mutants can coexist in any means necessary!

"Huh, what the...!?"

Outside of the Palazzia.

On a whim Masamune's eyes forth, seeing Raizen airship landed near the Medical Care. Hatch opened, medical officers, ambulance staff rushed to their aid. The silent ambulance's red siren, cracking sound of stretcher, take the injured to Medical Centre.

"Oh shit... Wha... What happened!?"

While Masamune knew about the ȧssault on Raizen, know the sheer of amount destruction, and loss of life, has sympathy for losses, unfazed about matter but when saw Miyako Fukumori within the survivors, quickly changed his mind rushed towards emergency vehicles inquired Renkik Yito who stood conscious helping others.

"She's okay... felt little lightheaded and dizzy, went overemotional, try to stood up, and collapsed immediately..."

"Is she alright?"

"Yeah... She will be fine...Lord Masamune. I'm kinda jealous you know,"

"What...?"

"You're her boyfriend, right?"

"What? I am not her—"

"Doesn't matter Lord Masamune. We lost lot of people in Raizen. Miyako Fukumori are the reason, we got out of there alive, able to report back: there are another menacing Mutant organisation. She alone slaughtered whole lot of enemies, buŧŧ-head against Athena: that scary grey-haired young lady, defeated at the end."

"Against Athena?"

"No. Against the Second Redtron, I think."

"Wahh!?"

Shocked Masamune, went speechless, expect him and the Supreme One himself Ichiro Kyousuke only knew of Second Redtron's identity as one of the promising MRC scientists: Akagi Shinsuke.

Since Masamune brought Akagi alive personally, he got promoted as Terrarium Knight and allowed in his inner circle, also monitoring him in close-range.

It Miyako saw or knew Redtron's identity, her live been in danger, not from Brittonian military, instead either from Ichiro Kyousuke or Redtron himself. Either way he must know what she knows.

"You should check on her. Lord Masamune... Having her loved-one beside definitely help her recover."

Surprised with cheerful suggestion, Masamune eyed Renkik, gazing up at the causalities while suggesting him, Masamune countered,

"For a newbie you talk like a veteran."

"Chuckled. Heh...I don't think I do. Rather than a gentle, sėnsɨtɨvė man I often been criticised to."

"Nevertheless, I listened to your advice."

"And I been—"

"Renkik, where the fuċk are you? Help me out with this battery filler!"

"Coming Sergeant Ilza! — humph believe that He's my junior. Anyway, I take Lord Masamune..."

"You too..."

Renkik bowed, before took his leave, the gesture Masamune almost forgot; due to the modern age of technology and modernisation, a conjunction of favourable political and economic circumstances for Imperium Brittonia, those beliefs became nothing but a bad habit of Imperian.
