THE BLACKLIGHT

It's been a while since Akagi Shinsuke has been an Assistant manager, he's well settle in his job, but he had some difficulty communicating other customers because he's introversion, but he had helped from two waiters, Yata and Ryūsaku. At starter they helped him in their off time, a few days of help Akagi is well adjusted, and now he is well in his own. Quite surprisingly he is well at managing and solving issues, he's focused, competent, hard working, pushed too much to get his job done and he made friends from Friendo's Mutants. Sometimes he completely forgot that he is surrounded by Mass murdering monsters, he goes to college at morning, Yamamoto in that time is the manager until Akagi went back at afternoon, take his shift and Yamamoto went back to his bartender duties. It is a good cycle changing management. Both Akagi and Yamamoto are happy progress in Restaurant's business.

Within the Yellow zone but far away from Friendo's, there is a drug store called Blue Star, Mid aged Mutant name Shintani Nagako runs and lives with his two daughters Miyoshi and Morimoto.

The older sister Morimoto's 16 years old and younger Miyoshi is 12. Shintani is tall but simple man, blonde hair with a long left bang, blue eyes. They lived a peaceful life running the pharmacy, one day Shintani heard they will be inspected by Blackwatch Military police, today in the area as annual inspection. Shintani asked his daughter wait for him in the downstairs. Usually he manages the inspection and he doesn't get his daughters involved.

"Can we come in?" Door pushed, a new charge captain of Blackwatch hawks him.

Shintani casualty smiles "What can do for you today gents?"

The captain opened the door and went right in with two armed soldiers, the captain starts to wounding in the shop, from the moment he was entered, the new captain was way more suspicious and picky than the others Inspector

"Well quite a nice shop got here" the captain continues roaming.

"Thank you sir" Shintani said while his eyes closed. He froze still, not willing to perform any sudden movement, as well as the soldiers standing in front of him, after he finishes his roaming "well, I will not taking your time, so I cut to the chase" stands in front very closely of Shintani. "What do you know anything about the Mutants? Mr.... Nagako"

"Nothing at all, sir" He calmly said to the Blackwatch captain. The captain was old fellow, experienced just to look at him. From the moment he was roaming in the shop he realised something is off, he puts his thump up to his buzz cut grey hair for soaking the flown sweats "Are you harbouring any Mutants?" he asked directly

"No sir" said Shintani with poker face.

The captain continuously glaring him "Then, who's in the bas.e.m.e.nt?"

Once he heard the word, Shintani startled he slightly raises his eyebrows. That expression the captain was looking for, because the captain has heard some whisper and suspicious about him and his pharmacy. He immediately orders his men to search the bas.e.m.e.nt "You lot, go to the bas.e.m.e.nt see what you can find and kill anyone you find suspicious"

"Yes sir" Soldiers obeys and went towards to the stairs, Shintani knows it's not going to be end well, if the soldiers comes down finds about his daughters, the Blackwatch usually interrogate small Mutant kids because they're honest as children suppose to be, easily get information out of the them, for safety for his children, he actives his big Kukri Noryoku type.*Shiiiiiing* slices one of soldier both arms, a red fluid of blood dribs on the stairs while the soldier's both hands completely cuts off from his body, "Aragghh!!! My arms!!!" the soldier rolling on the ground, agonising in pain, Shintani sees the other soldier aim to shoot, he quickly moves away from the aiming range and cuts soldier's automatically rifle and then stabs the soldier's heart. The death of the soldiers happened in split seconds, the old captain too late to realised that he's soldiers were dead,

"Araghh! DIE!! You f.u.c.k.i.n.g Mutant!" He terrifying shouted and he quickly pulls out his pistol, once he's straightening his hand to shoot Shintani. *Vzzzzt...* He cuts one half of Captain's hand. Before the captain screams, he horizontally chops the Captain's head, the blood flows upwards in a fountain. Spraying on the ceilings, the white ceilings turned into red *Dang!* captain's amputated head rolling on the floor with his lifeless body along with his dead soldiers.

Morimoto slowly up the stairs first, she saw two hands laying on the stairs along with the fingers still attached to the gun, she slowly steps forward up to the stairs avoiding all goopy plashed blood on it, once saw the shop in she was horrified seeing his father had done, while her hands on the mouth still recovering from shock, Shintani commands her to take to her little sister from the other door to something without let her little sister knows about it.

He'll handle the corpses and the shop, Morimoto nods and went down to the other door to prepare to leave with her sister.

In Friendo's Bar, Akagi just started his evening shift, he sits in his office. Working on a computer looking at financials, rearranging the staffs duty times for their comfortable time etc, while working as an Assistant manager, He have to wear a blazer or suit as Restaurant's policy, knowing that policy he wears a pale blue full shirt and pants with navy blue waistcoat outside and fade red tie. For the reason why he's wearing that because he likes old fashioned and classical things, western clothing, culture, movies etc.

He disappointed by the computer he's working on "Goddamn... This PC is antic, who used 2GB ram for a Computer, processing power suck, 3rd generation products always slows people down, it makes it difficult and slow to handle all that stuff"

The door pushed "I'll take it from here Shinsuke-kun". Akagi looks at the door it was Yamamoto,

Akagi questions him "But sir, I just started" Yamamoto smiles "Yes I know, the shop mostly empty I want to do something for me, I Could just said Misaki to do it but she's preparing her final exam I'll rather not disturb her. So I want you instead".

Akagi down his eyes, thinking "After hearing he had said was quite surprised myself to hear that about Misaki, even she's a Mutant still cares ordinary human work,, she also very good cook of this Restaurant's and I seem that she's well comfortable working with all guy staffs... Man, she is a hard-working girl but I wonder what kind of work is the Owner wants to do, without thinking I said Okay"

Yamamoto quite surprised to see Akagi's responses, he smiles and says "Just wait downstairs for Tashima Yūji, he'll fill you in"

"Tashima??.... Who?" Akagi shrugs. Yamamoto replies in hurry "don't worry, just an associate of mine, now hurry up he'll gets here anytime and he don't like people who are late"

Akagi quickly nods and went downstairs. When he gets to the downstairs, he sees a muscular with sharp features very serious looking mid 20s man, short light-grey/silver hair, sitting on one of the empty round bar's chair starring at him. His apparently outfit consists of a White aloha shirt left unbuttoned, a pair of dark-coloured cargo shorts and black sandals that resemble the Japanese geta.

He towards his eyes on Akagi "Are you Shinsuke Akagi? The one Yamamoto told me about, you kinda late, got any of yours MRC'S ID?"

Akagi presses his lips together "Well, I am the one Mr. Yamamoto told you about, and Yeah, sure it's in my wallet..."

Yuji turns around to face the bar "Good, Now get in the car we've work to do" and he picks a black bag on the floor and walks towards the exit door without saying anything

"Wait!! Where are we going? What kind of work?" Akagi questioned him.

Yuji turned back for a moment "Are you coming or not, if yes then change your clothes and get in the car" he pulls exit door and went right in to his car.

Akagi completely surprised by the man's manners, but he changed his clothes to casual and get in the car. While Yuji driving, Akagi sitting on the front seat he notices Yuji has a tattoo of Black lion on his c.h.e.s.t; also has a series of piercings, with one on his left eyebrow and three on his left ear, but still confused about his outfit

"What's with the outfit? Are we going to the beach, the road leading to the beach, he's not telling me anything, well less strangers taking to me, the less I get annoyed" A assumption that Akagi make.

*Beeeeep, Beeeeeep* his phone vibrates. Akagi open his phone and sees it is Natsume,

"It's Natsume, well I'm completely forgot to check on him after the accident , I wonder how he is doing,," He Answered it.

"Hey bud, how you do' in?" Natsume loudly bust out of the phone"

Akagi winks "I'm good Natsume, what's the matter?"

"No time for small talks, huh? I know you're very busy since you got a new job at a restaurant, I just asking have you finished your theory report yet?"

"Theory report? What are you talking about?" He tilts his head with narrow eyes.

Natsume response with a surprise "Huh!? Don't you know yet, there is an assignment exam held tomorrow at 8am, for genetics students"

Akagi exclaims "A test, tomorrow??? What are the subjects?"

Natsume confusingly says "I don't know much, but I asked one of my friend who's in the same department as you, he said about three subjects-

Probability and Pedigrees or Phage Genetics,

Gene Structure and DNA Analysis.

The exams will be closed book, but students may bring one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of notes to the exam. I don't know how you pull off three big chapters in one night, but good luck" *pup* phone disconnects.

Akagi is now in deep mental process, he put his two fingers in his chin "Now it's 7pm, so I get 11 hours, I have to finish what the Aloha guy wants to do then return home at maximum 11pm and get plenty of time to for study the chapters". Then He realised something "Oh f.u.c.k! I have to take the night shift, okay calm down, I last saw the restaurant almost empty, I have to ask the owner again take the night shirt, if I running really late with Yuji-san still I get minimum 6 to 7 hours tops, okay I just have to stick to the plan, well guess there is no sleep for me tonight huh". When he back to reality, Akagi sees a Blackwatch Military police's checkpoint, the car slowly down, metal gate shuts down huge splash light aims the car, two soldiers will automatic rifles walking towards the car.

Yuji finally opens up to Akagi "Okay you'll do the talking, when the soldier asked you about me, you just tell them that I'm your cousin, just visiting the beach, understand?"

Akagi nods, the soldiers approached the car *Dek, dek, dek,* soldiers knocked on the car's window with a torch "Good evening" the soldier asked Yuji. He opens the window and answers the soldiers with a friendly smile, "Can I see some identification?" soldier asked Yuji.

He gives Akagi's and his own ids to the checking officer, the soldier thoroughly checked their i.ds.

The soldier aims his torch to Akagi's face "You with MRC" Akagi nods then the soldier asked Akagi "Do you know this guy?

Akagi casually says "He's my cousin, we just going to visit the beach that's all". The soldier commands the gate keeper to open the gate. The gate opens the car starts up and moves to pass the checkpoint. After the car passed the checkpoint,

"Good acting, you definitely fooled the soldiers" Yuji smiles while still keeping an eye on the road.

Akagi widened his eyes in surprise "I got a question for you Yuji-san, how do you get the legal ID, I got an MRC's Identify while I was human, and I know Blackwatch created a law by every human must have their own identification card, it helps them to separate and caught Mutants." He eagerly turned his head to wanting the answers "To get an ID we must viral contamination level check to identify the subject infected or not, and Mutants has high VC levels.

Yuji grins "isn't that obvious, we fake it, Mutants have strong forgeries in human ID cards, and it helps us to create proper identities for each of us. Very much looking legal"

Akagi rolling his eyes "Oh, that's obvious, so where are we going? We're not going to the beach for sure, we just a pretend that you're tourists visits the Nina beach and I'm with MRC, guiding you there, a simple trick to convince a normal soldier"

He smiles but thinks worryingly "Pretty bold move for Him. I mean, Tokyo city rarely visit by tourists, a few them even come, they have to proceed with the Blackwatch inspection, creating a new ID, visiting limitations only Green and Yellow zone all that crap if the soldiers found out we're Mutants, then we're in deep shit. Lots things have been changed after the Outbreak. Mutants extermination is their top priority"

Yuji straight his face "Yamamoto told me in Yellow zone there is broken tube line under the tunnel, that tunnel leads to directly to the East-Red zone, and their walkers trying to use the tunnel to get the Yellow zone, we put the Zattai barrier to stop the Walkers. But that device has been broken; we're going to fix it"

Akagi narrow his eyes "Walkers? Oh... You mean zombies? He warden his eyes lifted eyebrows "If that's the case then we're in deep shit, the walkers going to enter the yellow zone infected everyone"

"Can you just calm down?" Akagi settle down, Yuji continues "Walkers is a mindless creature and lives very deep into the tunnel usually roaming around the near the East Red Zone." He sighs "They're not a find a way out that easily, as soon we get here, less chances for Walkers to get to Yellow zone, we'll arriving soon"

Akagi and Yuji finally arrived, they gets out of the car and see the broken tube, the Tunnel seem to be broken for many years, no one seems to be around for a long time, dusted cements, exposed rods, surrounding by plants and small tree and a big dark hole of entry. Yuji open his bags and puts up new Zattai barrier devices, device is small black cuboids shaped things with three small rounded bulb Yuji pressed the device.*CL.A.PS* device activated with three clips manifested.

Yuji calmly says "OK, I'll going to change the broken devices to the new ones, you go to the tunnel and attract the Walkers to outside" he put into his pocket "Here, take the torch, they attract the light or sound, when they come, warm me I'll put you all then activated the device, we going to found out that the device function properly.

After hearing that Akagi was hesitated at first, but with that little courage that he have. He bitten his teeth and forcefully takes the torch from Yuji and went right in to the Dark tunnel to lure the walkers in other hand Yuji has busy fixing and placed the devices.

Meanwhile at Friendo's, Misaki hsd just finished her studies and went back to Friendo's. She opens the door and finds no one inside; she went herself up to second floor to Akagi's office. She opens the door and sees Yamamoto sit in the room.

"Owner, where is Shinsuke? I don't seen him around, is he gone home? Well anyway I'm sorry; I've so busy studying I completely forgot to fix the Zattai Barrier with Yuji I'll fix it tomorrow" Misaki politely said.

Yamamoto sighs "Misaki-Chan, what did you think of Shinsuke, Akagi?"

Misaki raise her eyebrows in surprise "Huh!? What kind of question is that?"

Yamamoto removes his monocle and started cleaning it by a white cloth "I'm just asking opinion of him, I had to send him to an errand." He looked at Misaki "He and Yuji were gone to fix the barrier; I had to placed many years ago to keep The Walkers not get into Yellow zone. At first I was concerned that he was going too turned down on us for working with a Mutant get into a dangerous mutant's job. But surprisingly he willingly accepted and went out with Yuji, he's going to do the work you or I supposed to do suppose to do"

Misaki exclaims "He is? This is a surprise" she silenced for a second avoid eye contact "Well I don't know what to say"

Yamamoto deeply exhales, and smiles "Shinsuke, Akagi is a good kid, you should open up to him, and he's not a threat anymore"

Misaki exhales "that is bugs me the most" She graves "He's weak, he won't survived in Tokyo for long. Blackwatch and other crazy Mutants will tear him down and I worried that's not going to be helpful if still hanging his goody good behaviours, Mutants don't usually get to be happy or good they only know how to defend themselves, how to run hide play in sight ...Murder and killing are Mutants capable of, the violence and hatred are going on forever until we're gone extinct"

Yamamoto nods in concern "Hmm, but Akagi is a Blacklight Variant, similar from us Mutants, but stronger than any other ordinary Mutants. In time He'll become stronger"

*Rinnnngg* the ring door buzz out Yamamoto stand up from the chair

"I'll get it" Masaki shakes her hand downwards for Yamamoto to sit down and went to the front door. Once she saw who is it, she was absolutely Startled she wasn't expecting it.
