The CEO Who Hates Me

"Why are you the one asking for my help?" Old Master Ken hissed at Butler Omni who went directly at Ken Mansion instead of accompanying Ryu and Arya to the courthouse.

"Master, you know how hard-headed that kid is. He won't ask you for help, knowing that you will not help him without a bargain," Butler Omni said with a pleading voice.

"That brat, how come he can't get a hold of such a simple matter as that. He was so arrogant, showing me that he can stand on his own, and now he is going to crumble just because of a woman? Let him suffer then and experience failure so he will realize that his power was not enough as I've always said." The Old Master exclaimed as he blew a cloud of smoke from his tobacco pipe.

"Master, how come you are so calm at such a time. I thought that Young Master Ryu is your favorite grandchild. Are you going to let him get hurt like this?" Butler Omni insisted.

Then he added exaggeratedly, "Aren't you afraid of him getting suicidal once he failed on this. You know that powerful people tend to get suicidal after getting heartbroken, especially if it's a new feeling for them."

Old Master Ken just laughed out hard in Butler Omni's face and said, "You've been his nanny since birth and you are now saying that Ryu might get suicidal? What is this Butler Omni? Don't tell me you will become suicidal yourself if you encounter that kind of situation in love?"

"Oh, probably the Almighty thought you have a tendency to become suicidal that's why you are single until now. You've been saved then." Old Master Ken continued scornfully with a jest followed by a burst of loud laughter that roared at the whole garden of the mansion.

Butler Omni: "...….?"

"Ohhh, go back to that Brat, you old butler, and tell him that I am willing to make a move only if he is the one to ask for it!" Old Master Ken screeched before waving to dismiss Butler Omni to quickly disappear from his sight.

Ryu and Arya arrived at the courthouse just in time and still holding hands that made her father, who was sitting up front, frown.

Arya bit her lips and awkwardly smiled at her father. 

When her father's eyes shifted to the man beside his precious daughter, she saw Ryu slightly bow his head to pay respect.

'Since when did his daughter have a man in her life?' Mr. Tan thought inwardly while he scanned the man from head to toe.

Arya chuckled at her father's reaction. He was openly assessing Ryu with that stare. 

Ryu gulped, not sure whether to smile, lower his head, or keep eye contact with Arya's father who was scrutinizing him with his gaze.

After a few minutes, the trial began. 

Ryu's mobile phone was vibrating, so he let go of Arya's hand and excused himself to answer it.

After the call, he went back inside and found out that the seat Arya was occupying was empty. Ryu's face paled, his heart was beating fast, as he hurriedly went back outside.

"Where is Arya?" he shouted out loud to his men outside who were supposed to guard Arya tightly. Panic could be seen on his fuming faced.

"What is going on?" Arya's soft voice was heard from Ryu's behind. He quickly turned around and pulled Arya to his embrace as if he had not seen her for a long time.

"Ryu, let go. I can't breathe." Arya said stuttering. Ryu gently released her. 

Arya's eyes widened when she looked at Ryu. 

"Oh my God, what happened? What's going on? Why are you tearing up?" she asked in a row.

Ryu frowned and murmured, "I thought you left me."

"No, I just went to the restroom," Arya said in a low, soft voice as she gently wiped Ryu's tears.

"Oh my God, I am so sorry for worrying you." She said and hugged him.

"Stop that, Ryu! I am trash, so you must not waste a tear for me. You are Ryu Ken, how come you are weak like this! I hate weak men!" Arya exclaimed and scolded him during the hug.

Chen had to abruptly purse his lips as he was left open-mouthed by the scene that just happened in front of him.

'What happened to their CEO? What was that he just saw?' he thought inwardly as he blinked several times to make sure that it was real and he wasn't just imagining things.

That scene was so cool. For him, a certain amount of courage and strength was definitely needed to openly express your feelings like that. He was sure it was not easy for their CEO to let those tears be seen just like that.
