The CEO's Assistant

Chapter 34 - Emergency Meeting and Blackmail

As he entered her, she m.o.a.n.e.d in p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e as he allowed her body to adjust to his size, before slowly moving in and out. He began to fasten as she looked to be enjoying herself, the look of p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e on her face, made him not want to stop.

"Oh. L...Liam. Ahhh. Mmm!" She m.o.a.n.e.d, as his hands wandered over her body, exploring every curve of her. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer as he kissed her down her neckline, leaving red love bites behind.

They spent the several hours entangled in each other's arms, m.a.k.i.n.g. .l.o.v.e and enjoying each other's company, before finally laying curled up together.

"Ari, I love you." Liam looked at her sweetly, c.a.r.e.s.sing her cheek gently, as if she would break if he wasn't careful.

"I love you too Liam, but what about our parents?" Her golden orbs filled with the fear and anxiety of being separated from him.

"They don't control my life. You're who I want to be with, and they will just have to learn to deal with it." His arm sn.a.k.e.d around her n.a.k.e.d body, pulling her closer to him.

"It's okay honey, I just have an emergency business meeting, it won't take long, I promise." William hummed in agreement as his wife's nagging voice could be heard through the phone. "I'll meet you at the restaurant. Have a drinking with the Whittingham's on me."

At that moment a middle-aged blonde woman entered his office, giving him a silent nod letting him know the man had arrived.

"Okay honey, I have to go, my client has arrived." He hurried his wife. "Yes darling, I love you too. Bye." As he hung up, he nodded back at his secretary, before she disappeared back to waiting room.

William took breath, hiding his nerves, he combed back his dark grey hair, neatly pressing it into place. He heard heavy footsteps outside the door followed by a light knock. Putting up his cold, indifferent expression, before calling them in.

In walked a tall man with broad shoulders, freshly dyed dark hair with arrogant and manipulative eyes. One hand in his trouser pocket, while the other held a large yellow envelope. The man seemed oddly familiar to William, but he wasn't certain where they'd met before.

"Welcome, please take a seat." The almost 60-year-old president gestured to the seat opposite his desk. Without so much as a hello Martin Scott proudly took a seat across from him.

"President Clair, it's a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to official meet you, I am Martin Scott, vice-president for TelePro-" The man introduced proudly.

"I don't care." William eyes narrowed as he looked at the vice-president. "You got your meeting, hand over the evidence." His cold harsh tone interrupted.

"Here." Nonchalantly he tossed the envelope on the desk with an arrogantly confident smirk. William didn't meet the man's gaze as he picked up the envelope, only to be rather pleased with the contents.

"Everything in here is fake." He laughed arrogantly, with an internal sigh of relief. "I even have proof it's all made up." William had been rather nervous when Martin claimed to have evidence of his underground dealings, but all the evidence he had was false or had nothing to do with him.

Martin's face remained neutral, while inside he struggled with his rage. He had spent half a million on false information. Despite this revelation his demeanor never changed. "That's okay, I got what I wanted, a meeting with you."

"A meeting?" William was rather confused by this statement, why would he try to blackmail him simply to get a meeting? "Mr. Scott this is a bit of an elaborate scheme simply to get a meeting, isn't it?"

"Yes, well…" originally, Martin had intended to use the information into forcing William Clair into being his backer, however it's useless now with nothing to use as leverage. "I need to be certain you'd see me quickly and I didn't want it to be on the record." All seriousness on his face, Martin sat up making direct eye contact with William, "No-one can know I was here today."

"Okay," William started listening more intently. "Why exactly are you here today Mr. Scott?"

"President Clair I have a son about the same age as yours and like many people in our society he was promised to an arranged marriage, luckily enough for him, he fell in love with this woman." Martin lied with a straight face as if he'd told it many times before.

"Okay well that's lovely." William spoke coldly, "but what exactly does that have to do with me?"

"Just listen." He reassured the impatient president. "Now my son Julien, had his heart set on this girl loves her like a fair more than I ever would have expected him to and treated her like a princess." Martin knew that William's weakness was his daughter, he doted on Juliette endless. He hoped that by putting up the façade of loving, doting husband it would trigger William paternal instincts and he'd eventually push Arianna towards Julien.

"Okay." William indifferently nodded, still lost on how this concerned him.

"However, just before we were to make the engagement announcement, my son's fiancée left him. Claiming she loved someone else and that she wouldn't marry anyone other than him." Martin rather than portraying the manipulative business man he was, played the character of a distraught father, pleading to another. "Julien has been left heartbroken, he's barely eating or sleeping, he hasn't left his room in days and reeks of alcohol."

William's heart ached slightly as he recalled his own son's heartbreak only a few months earlier. "Okay, so what exactly do you want me to do?" Somehow, his tone was both indifferent and yet sympathetic. Martin stood up, beginning to pace around the office, before standing in front of a wall-to-ceiling window that overlooked Paris.

"Apparently my son's fiancée has her heart set on…" a devilish smirked creeped out, "…your son, Liam."

"What?" William saw red at the audacity of this unknown woman. "Just who does she thinks she is? My son isn't just someone anyone can marry. What arrogance." The disgust in William's voice was pleasing to Martin's ear. "Just who is this girl? Once I'm done with her, she'll come running back and won't even think twice about even looking at Liam."

Martin turned back towards William with a false look of concern, "It's Arianna Richard. Joan Richard's daughter and heir."

"WHAT!!"
