The CEO's Rented Wife

Lina and Tina had a few minutes of discussion.

"Lina, tell me fast. How does the mystery man look like?" Tina asked.

Lina smiled. "He is very handsome. Perhaps, the most handsome man I've ever seen in my life," she replied.

"Wow! You lucky girl!" giggled Tina.

"Actually not! The man, certainly, is very handsome and perfect. But, he's too organized and disciplined. And.. we've met before," Lina shared.

"You mean.. you knew him from earlier? Who is he?" Tina asked.

"I didn't know him from earlier. It's just that.. we met once.. Err.. I can't tell. It's so weird," Lina hesitated as she remembered her kiss with Wang. "It's very complicated," Lina sighed.

"Girl! Its completely okay, if you don't want to share it right now. All I wish to say is that.. don't be pessimistic. Everything will be alright. Maybe, he is the one for you.. your prince on a white horse," winked Tina.

"Hey! I forgot to tell you something.. I met Smith, too. He is a partner in the company," Lina giggled.

"Smith.. You mean.. that charming guy who often comes to Savoy Kitchen?" asked Tina with her eyes wide open in surprise.

"Yes! Yes!" replied an over-excited Lina. "I ran into him today morning. I wanted to talk to him regarding the selfie at the restaurant. But, he didn't recognize me," sighed Lina.

Girl! I am telling you. This is all destined. Something, very special is going to happen in your life. You will have a wonderful future," smiled Tina.

"I don't know about that! All I know is that I got to witness a very different world. People at the company.. are not like you and me.. They seem to be very different.. Even the CEO. He lives in a very different world," shared Lina.

Lina told Tina everything about her new job- her colleagues, her job duties and all the mind games that take place in the company. Their discussion was soon interrupted by grandmother's yelling from her room.

"Linaa! Time to go to bed. It is very late now," yelled grandma.

"I must go home now," whispered Tina. "My mom must be waiting for me," she said as she waved her friend goodbye and walked towards the main door.

After Tina was gone, Lina locked the main door and walked back to her bedroom. She went through all the important points she had noted during her 'makeup removal tutorials', as she proceeded to implement it practically. A few minutes later, she was in her night dress, ready to sleep.

Suddenly, Lina received some Whatsapp messages on her mobile from an unknown number. The number was mysteriously hidden.

Lina: Not interested in talking to someone, who cannot even tell his/her name! Get lost!

089******: Do you want to know where you have landed yourself in? Do you wish to know the reasons behind everything that is happening in your life? I can tell you why you had to get into a strange deal of getting an unknown man.. Wang.. fall in love with you.

Lina: What? Who are you? How do you know all this?

089******: I know everything. I can even tell you what you wore today.. what you ate today.. and about your interactions with Mr. Wang... and the conversation you just had with you grandmother and your friend, Tina.

Lina was scared. She switched off her mobile phone and kept it on the side table. The thought of these unknown messages kept her awake for sometime. And soon, her tiredness took over, and Lina slept like a baby after a complete day of hard work.
