The CEO's Rented Wife

Willie and Tina, Lina's most trustworthy friends, sat outside the William's café and had tea with peanuts. Willie was the owner of William's café. William's café was a popular hangout place for all the youngsters that lived in the society where Lina lived.

Two of them sat outside as they talked about Lina and her confession of secretly going out with her boss on dates.

"That guy.. Wang has a magnificent mansion. I've seen it from the outside.. twice. Never seen a building like that in my entire life! You must see his company's building. It is so massive that it looks like a spaceship. People have nicknamed the building - UFO," shared Willie.

"Hmm.. He is a multi-billionaire. Lina shared with me a lot about some of the company's employees. They all have amazing lifestyles," Tina replied casually as she ate a few peanuts and sipped some tea.

"Do you believe what Lina said? Could it be possible that a multi-billionaire falls in love with someone like Lina?" asked Willie.

"Yes! Very much possible! Isn't this what Lina has been hired for? She was given the job to make Wang fall in love with her. Although Lina is from a poor background and lacks sophistication, but there is no denying the fact that she, actually, is very beautiful. I personally know of many guys who had crush on her and were ready to do anything to get her attention," replied Tina. "And now, when she has groomed herself so much, I think Wang falling in love with Lina is no big deal," Tina continued.

"So, why are you upset with Lina? Her affair with Wang shouldn't surprise you," asked Willie.

"I am upset because she did not tell me about it. I am her best friend. She should have told me that she was going out with Wang secretly," sighed Tina.

"Hmm.." Willie had no reply as he agreed to what Tina said. He waited for a few seconds and spoke again. "Lina is a lucky girl. She finally found someone to love. If everything goes well, her life is set. Nothing better than finding your better half on time," smiled Willie.

"That's true!" Tina smiled back. "And I am here.. sitting alone.. waiting for that someone special to find me," Tina blushed a little as she thought of Lina's brother, Bob.

Tina had a crush on Bob from many years. Bob liked her too. But, both never gathered the courage to express their feelings for each other.

Willie had a crush on Tina.

"How can you be alone when I am sitting here?" giggled Willie.

"I mean.. all the love birds in the city, including Lina and Wang, must be outside.. somewhere.. having romantic dinners, and I am here having tea with peanuts," sighed Tina.

"We can go outside for dinner as well," offered Willie.

Tina was surprised. He looked at Willie with her eyes wide open. 'What does he mean?' she thought.

Willie was aware that this was not the right time to say such a thing. "Err.. I mean, we can go outside for dinner.. separately.. with different people. I am sure if we make some efforts, we will definitely find our partners," Willie spoke.

"I wonder when Bob will learn something from his sister. He needs to be more expressive," sighed Tina.

Both of them were silent for a few seconds. Sound of someone walking slowly on high-heels got their attention. They looked in the direction from where the sound came. It was Lina. She walked slowly, as her face clearly expressed her pain. Bob and Tina noticed her foot being wrapped by a crepe bandage.

"Oh my God! What happened to your foot?" asked Tina.

"The company's team had gone to a beach to get a photo shoot done. I was helping a model in opening her sandal's strap. The force made the model lose her balance and she fell into the sandy water. I tried to help her and twisted my foot in return," sighed Lina as she sat besides Tina, opened her footwear and massaged her feet.

"We thought you might have been at a dinner date with your boss," giggled Willie.

"Err..Umm.. W.. we could not go. It was a busy day," Lina stammered. She immediately tried to change the topic. "Do you know who the model, who had fallen into the water, was?" Lina laughed a little.

"Who?" Tina and Willie asked together.

"Hollywood's most famous and the highest paid actress, Miss. Sparklet Johnson," chuckled Lina. She couldn't help but laugh at her situation.

"Oh My God! No way!" shouted Tina. "So, didn't the company's management take any action against you? It was you who was opening the strap, right?" asked Tina.

Willie laughed. "Who can possibly take any action against Lina? She happens to be the girlfriend of the company's CEO and the highest shareholder," winked Bob.

"Hmm. Right!" Lina smiled forcefully. She was about to say something but stopped as her phone rang. "God! Grandma is going to kill me. I saw so many missed calls from her in the evening," she sighed as she hurriedly put back the sandals back on her feet and began to walk slowly towards her house. "Have a good night.. you two," smiled Lina as she walked away from them.

"Take care of your foot," smiled Tina.

"Good night" said Willie as he gestured Lina to walk slowly so as to avoid any further pressure on the injured foot.
