-Avengers Hq-

Maria Hill was seen walking through the halls. She arrived at Fury's office.

Maria:" Director Fury. Agent Barton has just called. He has something for us. He wants the team to be there too."

Fury :" Alright call them in."

Few minutes later the team was gathered. Steve, Thor, and Tony were sitting together with Fury and Maria. Rhodes, Tony's friend was also there. He was invited to be with the avengers to make up the numbers.

Tony:" So what's going on?"

Fury:" We're waiting for Agent Barton. He initiated the meeting."

Steve:" Where was he?"

Fury:" S.H.I.E.L.D probably ."

Suddenly footsteps could be heard and Barton could be seen coming in accompanied surprisingly by the Hulk.

Barton :" Guys , Good morning. Sorry for calling you in so suddenly but there is a mission."

Hulk cheered and said :" LIGHTNING GUY, TIN CAN MAN, OLD V.I.R.G.I.N , PIRATE AND BEAUTIFUL LADY. GOOD MORNING."

Barton and Maria chuckled at Hulk's antics.

Fury :" so what's the mission?"

Barton took a small cube and put it on the table.

Barton :" we're just about to find out."

The cube lit up and a clear holographic recording of Natasha played itself.

Natasha:" Good morning everybody. Following the HYDRA war, there were some leftover bases around the world that needed to be cleansed. Your mission should you chose to accept it will be to attack the HYDRA base in Sokovia and recover Loki's sceptre which is held by Wolfgang von Strucker, The last surviving Hydra leader. Caution be advised, possibility of enhanced individuals existing in the base. Relevant informations is already on your servers.

This message will self-destruct in 5,4,3,2,1.."

The cube burst into flame and disintegrated.

Tony :" Shit. That was so cool."

Fury took the electronic briefing of the mission and read through it. He then said:" Get ready for the mission . Cap , one last fight against HYDRA."

Steve just nodded and left to suit up.

The team got ready and they boarded a Quinjet heading toward Sokovia.

-Inselheim, Elijah's office-

Elijah looked at Eve and said:" Eve, I need you to increase our virtual and Internet security. Make sure that all of our servers are protected around the clock."

Eve:" Are we expecting an Attack Sir ?"

Elijah:" Probably. Just oversee our security systems for the next few days."

Eve:" Roger Sir."

Elijah:" Where are my parents incidentally?"

Eve:" Sir, they are enjoying themselves in Xandar."

Elijah:" Good they deserve it."

After Linda handed over the company to Sage, She and her husband Joshua took a spaceship and left on a interstellar trip.

-HYDRA BASE ,SOKOVIA-

A pair of siblings could be seen in a couple of glass cells. A young man with silver hair that seemed to move quicker than the eye could see. The woman, his sister control objects around her with her mind.

Soldiers and scientists moved around the base.

Suddenly alarms rang in all around the base.

A man with a monocle on his left eye turned to the security screens. He was Wolfgang von Strucker , the last leader of Hydra.

Von Strucker:" Deploy the soldiers. The avengers are here."

Von Strucker turned to a middle-aged man in a lab coat by the name of Dr.List . He was the chief scientist of this base.

Von Strucker to List:" They have to be after the sceptre."

He then turner to a soldier and asked:" can we hold them?"

The soldier in a helpless tone :" They're the avengers."

Von Strucker in a resolute tone :"Deploy the rest of the tanks."

Fortress Soldier: "Yes, sir."

Von Strucker: "Concentrate fire on the weak ones. A hit can make them close ranks. Everything we've accomplished. But we're on the verge of our greatest breakthrough."

Dr. List: "Then let's show them what we've accomplished. Send out the twins."

Von Strucker shook his head "It's too soon."

Dr. List: "It's what they signed up for."

Von Strucker: "My men can hold them."

The fight in the surrounding of the base began spilling to the nearby city.

Tony to Jarvis :" Deploy the iron legion."

Several remotely controlled Iron man robots flies in to evacuate the civilians in the nearby city.

The avenger were still trying to find a way to destroy the Shield protecting the base.

Tony:" is there a power source to this shield?"

Jarvis:" There is a pathway below the north tower."

Tony shoots at the shield's weak spot destroying it.

On the battlefield ground, a blur passed through, knocking Barton off the ground resulting in him getting shot by one of the soldiers.

Rhodes flies in after destroying some tanks.

Rhodes:" Clint is down."

Pietro Maximoff one of the twins blurred in again knocking Steve on his way.

Steve:" We have an enhanced on the field. He's fast."

Rhodes:" i'm taking Barton to the jet."

Tony:" Yeah go in. We're almost done here."

Tony entered the base and said :" Guys i'm inside. Once we found the sceptre we're out."

Suddenly the Hulk jumped in smiling happily while swinging a zanbato destroying everything in his way. He them began destroying the base while entering it.

Tony inside, steps out his armour and began looking around for the sceptre.

Finding a secret door , he found the sceptre with some of his destroyed iron man suit as well as some chitauri scraps.

Steve spoke in comms after knocking Von Strucker:" we've got a second enhanced."

Suddenly Wanda Maximoff creeps up behind Tony and uses her mind powers on him.

Tony in an illusion saw the avengers dead and destroyed in the realm of the Chitauri. He eventually snapped back to reality then took the sceptre under the observing eyes of Wanda and Pietro Maximoff.

In the Aftermath, Barton was taken back to S.H.I.E.L.D to be treated and he went back to the Avengers Hq to reunite with his teammates.

Every one was gathered.

Steve asked:" What's the word on Strucker?"

Maria:" NATO git him."

Fury:" Natasha didn't want him?"

Barton shook his head :" No , Director Müller said to hand him over to NATO, he's just a normal human."

Steve:" What about the enhanced?"

Maria:" Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Orphaned at ten when a shell collapsed on their building."

Steve:" Their abilities?"

Maria in simple words:" He's fast and she's weird."

Barton continued while looking at Tony :" and they hate your guts."

Tony confused :" Why ?"

Barton showed the incident that orphaned the twins showing that the weapons were Stark's.

An awkward moment enveloped the meeting.

Steve :" I think we should study the sceptre and find out everything about it before sending back to Asgard."

Tony:" I'll look over it." Looking at Thor:" Is that cool with you?"

Thor just shrugged.

Tony then asked Barton:" Could you call Banner to help with this?"

Barton shook his head:" Dr. Banner is very busy and he's not on earth."

Tony sighed:" i'll just do it alone."

Tony then went to his lab and studied the sceptre. For three days he scoured through its components and functions. He subsequently found an Artificial intelligence inside it. The Artificial intelligence was more developed then JARVIS.

Tony in his infinite wisdom decided to integrate this A.I into the Ultron program, a peace keeping robots to replace the avengers.

Tony received unpromising results and believed the program to have failed and ignored it.

When the lab was empty, the A.I awakened and became self aware by residing in Ultron Program.
