What the knight said shocked Rhaxtyx. It was the second time in this world that someone knew he used disguise. When the knight said that, the other knights also got more serious and drew their weapons.

"I don't know what you are talking about? I don't-" (Rhaxtyx)

"Don't try to fool me. I know you are under the disguise spell. I suggest you drop it immediately or things will get dirty."

Rhaxtyx was out of words. His forehead was sweating and his fists were clenched. He looked around and saw that they were already surrounded. Fortunately the knights didn't have any archers among them, that's why their escape could be easier.

Rhaxtyx looked at his friends. Miriam was as always, assessing their situation and looking for opportunities while Roman was worse. He was sweating and looking around in fear. Rhaxtyx smiled and turned to the knight.

"I'll drop the disguise but you will promise be that these people will be let go."

"They will be free as long as they are proven innocent." (Purple Rank)

"I need more than that."

"I will assure their safety during the investigation."

"I guess that is what I'll get huh? Okay then."

"Master! What are you doing?"

"Hmm? Getting you out, I hope."

"Are you sure about it?" (Roman)

"You wanted out right? This is your best chance. I got you into this mess against you will. This is my apology."

"Huu." (Roman)

At that time, Roman let out a deep breath and fetched something from his pocket discreetly. Rhaxtyx turned to the knight. He was trying to learn something from their eyes but he was unable to. He thought about casting a spell but he knew he would be found out even before he started chanting. A person that is able to find out he was disguised would feel the mana fluctuations around him.

"Well, here goes nothing."

After taking a deep breath he looked up and thought 'What the hell.' Just as he was about to drop his disguise, he heard Roman's whisper from behind him.

"Hold your breath."

He was confused but before he could do anything Roman did his thing. As he was about to hold his breath he remembered Kai in his arms and helped her hold her breath by closing her mouth and nose with his hand..

"What is taking so long! Our lord ordered you to-"

*Pat! Psssssshhhhhhh*

The knight's words were interrupted as after a small explosion, smoke began coming out under the trio's feet. This smoke had a sickly green color and seemed dangerous. Its rotten smell could even topple down magical beasts.

"RUN!" (Roman)

Without missing a beat, Miriam and Rhaxtyx followed Roman out of the fog and went deeper inside the forest. Knights weren't expecting something like this so some of them were on the ground with foams coming out of their mouths.

"They are running!" (Blue Rank)

"Donovan, take two and follow me, the rest help the injured and get rid of this poison!" (Purple Rank)

""Yes!""

The leader of the knights, the knights they called Donovan which was a blue ranked knight, and two red ranked knights rode their horses after Rhaxtyx and co. The trio was running among the trees, hoping they could lose the knights. Rhaxtyx was unfortunately unlucky with the timing and inhaled a bit of the poisonous gas. He would be fine but he was in pain nevertheless.

*Cough kahak!* "What the hell was that Roman?!" (Rhaxtyx)

"It was a present I got from a friend of mine!"

"That's a nice friend. That type of poison is really hard to find and harder to make." (Miriam)

"Hehe. I have my connections."

*Scree*

Badgey stuck its head out form Rhaxtyx's clothes and screeched after looking behind them.

"Looks like they are quick. They are coming after us. Or I think so because this little bastard is hard to understand!" (Rhaxtyx)

Soon after, they heard the horses galloping towards them and after that they heard the knight's voices.

"Stop in the name of the King!"

"Roman are you sure? You are putting yourself in danger."

"I didn't give you my answer before right? Well like you said, my answer is already decided. You took me with you while you could just leave me after destroying my forge. You are an honest person. I don't know if you are really a god or not but you are not normal either."

Roman started talking. His eyes were never off their front but Rhaxtyx knew they were full of determination.

"You are an idiot that makes mistakes all the time but you are enthusiastic. You have earned my trust earlier."

Roman then looked at Rhaxtyx with a smile and spoke with a clear voice.

"You can't get rid of me that easily."

After not speaking for a second, Rhaxtyx started laughing hard and dropped his disguise.

"Hahaha! Yes! The people beside me should be honest to themselves! I accept your words Roman! This God will guarantee you a great adventure!

{Blazing flames of the nether realm come forth

And manifest your wrath upon my foes}"

After chanting, Rhaxtyx threw a {Firebolt} behind him, narrowly missing a knight.

"Attack an Imperial Guard eh? You are seeking death!"

The horses were approaching as time passed. Once they were able to see the group, they could see that instead of the brown-haired boy, there was a white-haired individual running alongside them. This, with the reports they received, meant only one thing.

"The demon is here! We don't have to hold back boys! Kill the demon and its minions!" (Donovan)

""Yes sir""

Rhaxtyx kept throwing {Firebolts} at them non-stop. Even though he was missing every shot, he was aiming to slow them down, not outright kill them. If they kept on like this the knights would catch up eventually. Just as Rhaxtyx was thinking about a plan Badgey scratched his cheek and made him turn his head to his right.

There, he saw nothing. He was about to complain to it but before he could start yelling at it, he saw a silhouette among the tree. It was fast even for him. He narrowed his eyes to focus a bit better but it was unnecessary as the silhouette was coming towards them. It came out of the trees, jumped over a shrub and landed in front of them. It was the knight leader. Their sword was drawn and it was longer than a normal longsword. Some might call it a great sword or a bastard sword and this person was wielding it with only a single hand.

They turned their horse and pointed their sword at the group. Rhaxtyx and co had to stop dead in their tracks because of this. Soon after the rest of the pursuer came and surrounded them. Rhaxtyx's true face was for all to see. A chuckle escaped the leader's mouth and they began speaking.

"Look who decided to came out of their shell. I suggest you surrender your lives demon. With your low tiered magic, you have no chance against us. You are not fast enough."

"You should see me with my full power then. I'm sure you'll be amazed."

"Baseless boasting. I will not repeat myself again. Surrender your lives."

"Ah what the hell. Guys buy me some time if you will."

Rhaxtyx began chanting a Tier 2 {Blast Echo}. As the chant was fairly new, he still couldn't finish it in a quick manner like {Firebolt}. After receiving her orders, Miriam jumped at the knight leader with her sword drawn and shining. This piqued the interest of the leader but they still swung their sword at the enemy. Roman took Kai form Rhaxtyx's arms and held her close while protecting her with his own body.

{Just like a lion marking its territory, I shall be heard from miles away!

After the shockwave shall come the fire and light the night aflame.}

After finishing the chant, Rhaxtyx aimed at the knights behind him. Roman saw this and ran away while screaming. The knights were ready to receive it but their leader shouted at them after deflecting Miriam's attacks.

"Dodge it!"

"Milord?"

"That spell has a powerful fluctuation with it. Just dodge!"

They did as their leader told them to. Just in time as well because the spell was already fired from Rhaxtyx's hand. It landed where they were before and a bright flash appeared. It exploded loudly and flames covered everything in a 5-meter-radius. There was only a small crater where it hit and flames burnt the grass on the ground.

The knights were shocked at the power of the spell but they didn't waver. They charged at Rhaxtyx with their longswords drawn. Seeing this, Rhaxtyx readied a Tier 1 {Sonic Boom} and waited for them to approach.

Rhaxtyx knew the most powerful one of them after the leader was the one with the blue cloth over his shoulder so he prepared to use his spell to him. Luckily he was the first to charge.

When he prepared to swing his sword, Rhaxtyx jumped and unleashed a roar next to the knight's ear and made him fall down. The horse was shocked as well and tripped. The rest of the horses stopped after hearing the roar and seeing their kin flipping. The knights were shocked as well and didn't made their horses move. Seeing this as an opportunity, Rhaxtyx threw a {Firebolt} on one of the knights and started running deeper into the forest.

Roman followed after him and Miriam broke free of the relentless attacks of the leader. The {Firebolt} hit squarely to the knight's c.h.e.s.t and threw him off the horse but that was it. There wasn't even a scorch mark on the plate armor, not even a black mark. He quickly got up and ran to Donovan. He seemed like he was fine but his horse broke its legs because if its flip earlier.

"Sh*t. I just got this horse!" (Donovan)

"Haha. Looks like you have to spend another small fortune again sir."

"Shaddap. We are not properly equipped to deal with those guys. Captain will be enough."

"We are returning sir?"

"Yes."

"We better tell the Captain then."

"Captain already left to pursue. Let's go."

After drawing his sword through the horse's throat, Donovan rode with one of the knights to return to the group. Just like he said, their captain was already pursuing the trio.

"Damn that person is stubborn! Any ideas?" (Rhaxtyx)

"We should put on our disguises first master. We are near the village."

"Oh good idea! Roman what do you want to look like?"

Rhaxtyx talked as he transformed to Rax the adventurer. He made Miriam look like an ordinary adventurer and Roman into a younger looking person. Their body types changed alongside so it was impossible to know it was them, apart from the knight captain that was after them. Which was about catch up to them soon enough. Running was not enough to get away from a horse after all.

As they were thinking about a plan they heard a voice of a man call out to them from under a fallen tree.

"Psst! Get in here! I can help you!" (???)

Without much choice they entered the gap under the tree trunk. There was a man wearing chain mail. He was in his mid- 30s. His eyes were sharp and there were battle scars on his face. He was holding a pouch on his one hand. He picked up and threw some king of sparkling dust after the trio entered the gap and waited.

The knight approached to where they thought the group went. Stopped a distance away and looked around to find their tracks. After a while they rode back to where they came from. After determining it was safe, the man that called out to them went out and looked once again. After a while he called the group with his hand.

"Thank you for lending us a hand stranger." (Rhaxtyx)

"No problem! I'm glad I could help."

The man had a strong accent and his body was big. He had a clean voice but from his eyes one could understand that this man saw some things.

"May we know your name." (Roman)

"Oh where are my manners? A knight should always give their name first."

The man did a courtesy bow and spoke.

"I am Knight Captain Damian of the Third Knight Order. At your service."
