Kuro: But that doesn't stop another girl from falling under your spell, what are you going to do?

Zero: It's just a term for psychic powers possessed by humans with the potential to possess them and those humans are called Adepts. As you can see, the lightning around me is part of my Septima [Azure Striker] which gives me complete control over all forms of electricity.

Kuro: I see, but that power must have some side effects on you, right?

Kuro asked me a little worried.

Zero: Like any power, [Azure Striker] has its weaknesses, one of which is that I might overheat if I use too much juice. But with practice and having made this power mine, I can overcome that problem.

Kuro: I'm relieved. I was afraid what happened last time would happen again.

Zero: Don't worry, I won't let this happen again, I hope.

Miyuki: That doesn't sound reassuring at all.

Sona: Why don't you invoke Joule to get to know her?

Zero: Okay.

Zero: I have to do a quest to save and convince Joule to come with me ...

Kuro: Sounds easy then.

Zero: Alone and without being able to use my magic only my Septima

Kuro: Aaaaah!!!

Zero: But that doesn't mean I'm going to fail or give up.

I tell them while putting on Gunvolt's equipment which consists of blue trousers and a coat of the same color, with light armor on top, combat boots and fingerless gloves with a gauntlet having a kind of terminal on top of it of the same color as the armor, I take this opportunity to change my style and deactivate my illusion to let my long white hair appear and my eyes return to their normal shape.

When Sona, Tsubaki saw my new appearance they started blushing which makes me smile.

Zero: So do you ladies like what you see?

They nod in response

Zero: Bel, could you braid my hair and tie this on the end of it

I ask Belfast by giving her the tail-plug for the Dart Leader to attach to the end of my hair.

Belfast: Right away, Master Zero.

While Belfast takes care of my hair, I check my Dart Leader, as the name suggests, it's not bullets coming out of the gun, but rather real darts forged from needle-like strands of my hair that are charged with electricity from my Septima, a specialized and incredibly conductive applied metal that seems to have a relatively low voltage.

Belfast: Here we go

Zero: Thank you, I'm going.

Sona: Take care

I press the Y button to accept, then all of a sudden the world around me becomes grey as if time had stopped and in an instant, I find myself above a building that faces a much more imposing building bearing the logo of the Sumeragi group, looking around me I notice the architecture of the city around me is quite futuristic.

Then I notice a sign announcing the next concert of Lumen the cybernetic singing fairy, I compare the date with the one on my interface and deduce that the concert will start in a few hours.

Zero: If I remember correctly Joule should be on a train that has to leave the Sumeragi 1 building during the concert!

I use [ Appraisal ] that [ Observe ]'s evolution after I maxed it out on the Sumeragi building. All the information and a plan of the building appears in front of my eyes.

Zero: Seeing the fastest way to get to the train.

I activate my Sharingan to memorize the plan when all of a sudden my eyes hurt like hell for a few minutes...

[Mangekyo Sharingan evolved into Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan]

After the pain disappeared and surprised by the events, I take a mirror from my inventory to see my eyes and to my great surprise, it is the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan of Madara Uchiha.

Then all of a sudden a click comes to my mind the Sharingan I received are the ones from Madara after the last great ninja war which means that my eyes can evolve into Rinnegan and hopefully into Rinne Sharingan.

And the reason why they've evolved maybe because the [Chaos Core] must have upgraded my energy type.

Zero: This day just keeps getting better and better...

I start smiling then I press a button on my gauntlet terminal and a holographic screen and keyboard appear in front of me, then I start hacking into the Sumeragi Group's computer system using [Azur Strike] to hijack the electromagnetic waves from the antennas around their building to steal as much data as possible and make it look like an attack by the QUILL Group against them.

// Timeskip //

??? POV

I arrive in front of an armored door where the objective of my mission seems to be when the door opens I arrive in what happens to be a laboratory, but it happens to be empty.

??? : It's GV. I don't see the core.

???: What?

??? : That's impossible! Are you in the right place?

GV: I'm sure of it. Could they have moved it?

???: Good. Abort the mission.

When all of a sudden I hear footsteps behind me, I turn my gaze and it turns out they are Sumeragi guards with guns pointed at me.

GV: Looks like they guessed we were coming.

???: Get out of there. Now.

GV: ...

???: Can you hear me, GV?

When all of a sudden the security alarm went off in the building and I didn't know what was going on, I got knocked out by one of the guards.

* Flashback *

Memories of my childhood come back to me especially the moment when Asimov, who is the founder and commander of QUILL, saved me from one of the research centers of Sumeragi.

Asimov: The pain is over. Now you can choose to be free.

The next images that come to mind are the ones where he explains the purpose of QUILL.

Young GV: You protect the rights of the followers?

Asimov: That's our mission. That's why we freed you from Sumeragi, even though the world calls us terrorists.

Young GV: I want to join you.

Asimov: Why? For revenge?

I wake up to notice that I'm in some kind of torture chamber on a screen passing the Lumen concert.

I notice not far away from my gun on a table in the room, they are really stupid to let my gun so close to me. I try to get rid of the chains that are chaining my arms.

Gunvolt: ...

???: I'll tell you two things. First, Lumen's going for a little train ride that already left when your other comrade managed to breach our security when we captured you. Boohoo!

After taking care of the nutcase, I contact Moniqa to provide her with the information I just received while dealing with the guards who are coming after me.

Gunvolt: You're telling me you didn't send anyone?

Moniqa: Someone beat us to get the core back by using us as bait to lure Sumeragi, he launched an attack on their computer system to make it look like it came from us, to leave a backdoor to control the whole system of the building, this person is a genius hacker to get under our and Sumeragi's radar like that.

Gunvolt: You were able to locate the train then?

Moniqa: We have its location, we will pick you up at the following coordinates.

Gunvolt: Copy that.

???: Yo.

Gunvolt: Huh!?

I turn around to see someone with similar equipment to mine but more advanced and the same hairstyle but in white who throws something at me that I catch, it's a USB flash drive.

Gunvolt: Who are you? And what is that?

???: A gift for your fight against Sumeragi and beware of Asimov his goals are not what he says they are, see you later 3rd say hello to 1st from me.

Then the person disappears into the shadows before I've had time to ask for an explanation. After joining the others I tell them about my meeting with the mysterious young man and the USB key, I didn't mention at all the warning about Asimov while following the train track.

Moniqa: There seems to be a fight over the train.

Then an image appeared on the screen that shocked everyone, especially me.

Gunvolt: It was this guy who gave me the flash drive, but how did he get there?

??? Gunvolt: Spark-Calibur

Moniqa: That's...

Gunbolt / Asimov: Azure Striker?!

Moniqa: How is it possible, Gunvolt should be the only one to have this Septima?

Gunbolt: I understand now why when I met him he called me 3rd, he meant that I am the 3rd user of the Azure Striker, but what did he mean by "say hello to 1st"?

When Asimov hears what Gunvolt has said he stares at the mysterious youngster on the screen with an aggressive look.

Zero POV

After Gunvolt infiltrated the building I sneaked in right after him discreetly, having my route in my head I created a [Doppleganger] which I sent in the direction of Gunvolt's location to lead Sumeragi on a wild goose chase.

As for me, I stay in the shadow and then go back to the train where Joule is, it is at this precise moment that the security alarm went off, hearing sounds of gunshots, when I arrive at my destination I notice that the train starts to move and starts to leave.

Without wasting a moment I jump on the moving train while electrifying my feet to stay attached to the moving train.

After exiting the station I start to move forward when all of a sudden noises are heard and two big mechas suddenly appear in front of me and point their Gatling at me.

Zero: * Whistling*

They start shooting at me, I overload my body with electricity to increase my reflexes, coupled with my Eternal Mangekyo I avoid all bullets while getting closer to the mechs.

I jump over them and shoot darts at the silver part above them with my Dart Leader, which makes a reticle-shaped tag appear on their location.

Returning on the ground I throw a discharge of electricity with my hand in the direction of the Mechs, the lightning bolts go precisely towards the tagged parts, the silver parts touched by the lightning make appear what seems to be the source of energy of these robots.

I jump over one of them and overload the source with my lightning which makes it explode, while the other one is about to shoot at me I point it with Blue Pink and shoot at the source destroying it too.

Then I continue my way towards the wagon where Joule is.

After having knocked out some guards on my way I arrive in front of a secured door that I manage to bypass thanks to a small program of my invention.

* Decoding noise *

Zero: Open sesame

* BEEP*

The door opened to a kind of cold room, I entered the room, then the door closed behind me, then I heard a voice.

??? Who's there?

Then a kind of box lights up in front of my eyes, I approach to see a young teenage girl with light purple hair, with a big ahoge on top of her head and two long locks of slightly darker hair. She is wearing a short pale blue dress with cream highlights and three zippers on the front, with matching shoes. She has two metal bracelets around her wrists, sitting up and tied up with lots of cables inside.

Zero: Good evening, Joule.

Joule: Do you know me? Who are you? Why are you here?

Zero: It makes sense though, I'm here to save you.

Joule: Eeh!?

Zero: Listen. If you want to be free. I will help you. Tell me. What do you want?

Joule: What do I...?

??? Joule: Come on, man! Why'd you had to take my battle route?

I hear a voice say, I turn around to see one of the 7 swordsmen of Sumeragi, Merak, a young teenager with blue eyes and slightly spiky hair, sandy brown, with a swept bangs over his right eye. He wears the standard uniform of Sumeragi officers, with the jacket unbuttoned, the shirt untied, and white and black shoes with light blue soles. He also wears a pair of blue headphones.

Zero: Sorry to upset you Merak-kun, but this is the only road I can take if it's to save her, as is my quest.

Merak: Who knew you were also a player, (sigh) let's take this outside. We need her intact, after all.

Zero: You're right, let's go.

I'm heading for the exit

Zero: Joule?

Joule: Yes?

On a concert stage is a girl with long blond hair, tied in a ponytail, with two pink stripes that imitate the antenna of a butterfly. On her head, she wears a butterfly-shaped headband, which also serves as a helmet. She has fairly large, bright blue wings with navy blue on the edges and white detailing. She wears a white dress with blue and purple stripes and white triangles at the end of her skirt.

This is Lumen, the manifestation of Joule's Septima "Muse", the latter has her conscience. When she heard Joule's conversation with a young man promising her freedom she could not help but have tears in her eyes as her mistress had always been alone for as long as she could remember.

When she heard the young man's request that she sing for his victory, she was more than motivated because his victory represents their freedom and perhaps Joule's happiness so she began to sing with all her heart for the young man.

Merak and I are on top of the train, Merak makes a sword appear, which he brandishes above him, and then suddenly he is surrounded by a black tornado that turns him into some kind of demon with black eyes with blue irises, and his hair becomes bright blue, with dark blue horn-like appendages attached to his head. He wears dark blue armor with light blue highlights and white gloves.

Then a black hole appears and a kind of throne with arms and a mechanical jaw comes out of it.

Zero: Wow, so that's his Septima.

Then I put myself in a fighting position

Merak: Well, let's get it over with. I'm keeping an online gaming friend waiting.

The mechanical arms of the throne are stretched out towards me and fire a barrage of missiles which I avoid without any problem before jumping into the air and firing an overloaded dart with electricity at him, which he avoids by teleporting himself using his black hole.

Suddenly I feel a presence behind me that I avoid, it was a mechanical arm coming out of a black hole that had appeared behind me when I was in the air, and from this same hole Merak comes out.

Zero: Let me ask you a question, what is your perspective on human life?

Merak: Human life means nothing to me as long as I get paid I will do whatever it takes to accomplish my mission. And what do you intend to do when you hear my answer, play the hero?

He answered me by opening another black hole and propelling one of his mechanical arms into it, the exit of which still appears behind me.

Of course, I dodge this blow that I feel coming from miles away by jumping into the air of course I don't forget to dodge the red laser intended for me which comes right behind me by making an evasive maneuver, then falls back on my feet.

Then another red laser shot is fired, but this time in the direction of Merak, the latter moves his head to the side and the laser hits the back of the throne.

Merak: Who interrupts my session?

Merak complains, only to see me appear above him with my Dart Leader pointed at him, I shoot a dart which also lodged itself on the back of the throne while Merak has his head tilted to the side.

Zero: Looks like someone snuck into our game unannounced.

All of a sudden 8 black hole appears behind Merak and the mouth below the throne opens to reveal a kind of laser cannon, which shoots a giant yellow laser into one of the 8 black holes and then into the others one after the other.

Then a black hole opens up in front of me, throwing the laser at me, which I dodge and so on, one after the other.

Joule: (I would go into the world...)

Merak: Don't move!

Then four black holes open in front of me at the same time.

Joule / Lumen : (...and sing my song)

All of a sudden when I hear Joule's voice I feel the power rising within me and my Septima goes to Overdrive and words come to my mind.

Zero: It's coming, it's coming.

My body becomes one with the lightning allowing me to avoid the four simultaneous attacks more easily in one thunderstorm.

Merak: That's not true! You must be cheating!

I fold my arms against my c.h.e.s.t and concentrate all the electricity in my body...

Zero: Flash, my enchanted sword of lightning! Destructive Azure Thunderstorm! Strike my enemy! Luxcaliber!

I raise my right arm in the air which I support with my left arm and then redirect all the acc.u.mulated electricity which forms a large blade made of pure lightning, with which I slice Merak in half.

Merak: I don't think I can Respawn after that.

He said before he exploded

Zero: Fuuu, with that the coast is clear.

Then I notice in the distance that the switch was changed.

Zero: I should get back to Joule soon.

Back in the room where Joule is.

Zero: I heard your wish. You can also choose freedom.

Then all of a sudden a burst of light occurs when she disappeared Lumen appears before me with a smile.

Zero: Lumen

Lumen: You... You can really set us free?

Zero: Yes.

Then all of a sudden Joule's chamber turns red and red lightning strikes me, I put my arm to ward off the shock and send it back to the chamber which seems to stop, then after a while, it reactivates and seems to force Joule to use his Septima.

Joule: No. I don't want to sing anymore!

I hear Joule say before she starts screaming very loudly that the waves are spreading all over the city.

Joule: I can't stop... Please, please, please, please, please. Kill me.

Zero: No! You can't give up!

Joule: Everyone will die... because of my song. I don't want to hate singing anymore. Don't worry about me. Please, just do it.

She says to me with a smiling face, making me upset that she's trying to save others at the expense of her survival...

Zero: Joule!!

Then I see a tear running down her face which upsets me even more...

Zero: I can't grant this wish!

I charge Azure Striker with all my being and rage around me on the tank to launch an EMP wave to cause a citywide blackout.

Zero: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah

I get out of the train with Joule in my arms to arrive in front of the members of QUILL when she sees all these people she clings to me as if her life depended on it.

Asimov: Young man gives us the nucleus.

Zero: I destroyed the core

Asimov: Don't try to play smart, give us the girl in your arms.

Joule: I don't want to be separated from Onii-chan.

Zero: How can you know she's the nucleus, I thought you didn't have that information unless you knew all along and still decided to send one of your men to kill her when you say you want to protect the rights of the followers, am I wrong Asimov?

The latter remains silent

Asimov: Do what you want.

He said as he left, I'm about to leave too when I hear a voice calling me

Then I take Lola in her battle pod form out of my inventory and activate it.

Lola: Um, I slept well.

Ruru: The robot has spoken.

Zero: Hello Lola

Lola: Hi, nice to meet you, Boss.

Joule: Onii-chan, who's that?

Joule asks me, always hiding behind me, I explain to them that Lola is a combat pod armed with several types of weapons coupled with an AI also possessing the Septima of the "Muse" like Joule.

During the rest of the trip, everyone gets to know the new arrivals while I rest on my side.

After arriving in Kuoh Sona and Tsubaki went straight back to the academy to catch up on their one week's backlog of student council work.

On the way home Joule doesn't stop looking around since it's the first time she has seen the outside world which makes her just as cute.

The others went straight back to their rooms in our mansion to rest from the trip. As for me, Joule and Belfast are heading towards the Akatsuki residence.

I open the door of my house to introduce Joule to my parents when I get to the living room I hear several voices, I open the door to see 3 people talking with my mother, 3 people I recognize and don't think I'll see them anytime soon.
