The Commoner Consort: The Country's Respected Empress

Maya opens her eyes and looks into the emptiness before her. It was still dark. It was the longest night of her life. It has no idea of going from her before taking her life.

She tries to process her mind but nothing she could remember. Her mind is blank and only thing she remembered was....A black thing on that bed and its blood freezing sounds.

If she tells she is scared of them, that would be an understatement. It was one of her nightmares! The worst one!.

She forgets everything. Who she is. What was happening in her life? What did she want from her life and future?. Everything other than 'that' thing felt so unreal for her. 'That' was the only thing felt so real to her for now.

She places her floating hand on the ground of the shore. She pushes her hand in water slightly so that she can sit balancing herself.

To her surprise, she found herself elevating in air. She was beyond shock now 'Why is every bad thing happening only to me and only today?! Please save something for tomorrow too!!'.

She looks at her hands ...glowing with yellow light. 'There is no tomorrow!!'. She lost her little hope of tomorrow now. She thinks she would die by these ultimate shocks now!.

She gasps in a complete shock and ogles her both hands as she never see anything like this in her whole life!. Even though she lived a short life, she felt content and happy....Until she came from Hindustan!.

The moment she was almost fainting, a divine voice both startled and calmed her.

"I am glad we finally met".

Maya is still floating in air and looks at a marveling source of beauty before her eyes. Elevating with her!.

'How could a voice even exist?! It bring both peace and fear!'.

Maya herself found her heartbeat skipped a bit seeing the beauty but her heart filled with some divine peace. She couldn't help wonder how.

'May be her face? Her voice? No it's from her aura.....It's like...'.

But she couldn't pinpoint the feeling.

The voice again came from the beauty "Why am I having this feeling that you would pass out any time?". A smile creeps out from her face but ends in sigh. As she predicted the events that are going to happen now.

Maya could only point at her before passing out. No words came out as she was still in the effect of poison and shock.

A shadow appears from the forest "Goddess! How can she be alive even after-".

The lady raises her hand gesturing him to stop. She smiles looking at Maya "Erase her memories of us for now and leave her in the countryside village".

The shadow insists but not in any harsh tone. His tone is always of an obedient student finding his answers "But you wanted to have a talk with her".

The lady looks at Maya deeply as if reading something in her mind "Later. She is not ready yet. Perhaps facing the death didn't make her ready".

The shadow speaks in awe "Goddess! How can something be worse than death? I think you should have talked making her to listen!".

The lady smiles which obviously filled with divinity "Let her go in her way. I wish she would be ready when I meet her next time".

She forwards her hand and a blue coloured smoke escapes from Maya's body. Removing the poison!.

The shadow asks "But what will happen to her? What could she do in this unknown country? Now we created this havoc...I think we should take her back with us-".

The lady chuckles at his comment as if she heard some child's silly talk "What could she do?". She gets lost in her own thoughts and sighs sadly.

'I hope she wins her dreadful fate...'.

The lady grasps the blue smoke into her palms making it to dissipate and orders "Now do as I said!".

The shadow without any delay 'takes' Maya to the countryside village.

The shadow makes Maya lay under a tree beside a hut and forwards it's hand towards Maya's forehead. To erase her memories like he did to Kalki before.

Within a second, it disappears in thin air without any traces.

Prince Xavier is riding his horse towards the Countryside Pavilion. He has to find the culprits behind this conspiracy.

It hurt The Royal's ego now. No one had ever done anything against the Royals!. 'In fact no one had ever dreamed of pointing fingers on us! How in the world did this happen?!'.

He finds it as a threat to not only The Royals but also his Brother!. He can't stomach the feeling of someone conspiring against his Brother.

He was almost flying in his horse but he pulls his reins suddenly making the horse to neigh loud.

He looks at people gathered under a hut and frowns. He jumps from his horse and walks towards the hut to find what's happening there.

He looks at a back of a girl and she is facing an old man. The old man was making her drink water and people were so immersed that they didn't even notice Xavier's appearance. And it wasn't their fault. He was in disguise and no one could figure out him in this stupid beard and a mask.

The people were whispering as if they had seen something wonderful or different...

Xavier goes to the other direction so that he could see the girl and find how does her mere presence create this commotion. He is about to ask a man about the situation but stands spell bound seeing the girl before him.

The old man was asking her something but the girl only shook her head politely.

His mother read him may fables in his childhood. He always wondered how a Princess would look like and how can someone fall in love at first sight...

The girl finally opened her mouth and spilled some words.

"I was lost while travelling ....Can you please help me..to go out from this country?".
