Xavier's look was so deep so she couldn't decipher it's emotions.

She only notices the sadness in his eyes and also notices something on his face.

She frowns and looks at his eyes sternly "Who are you?".

Xavier's frowns.

Maya stares at him suspiciously "Why are you wearing a fake beard? Are you a spy?" and gasps standing "Do you work for Royals?!".

'Who others would have to fake their own identity?! Unless the Royals' employees or spies?! How could I be so absurd?! I should have watched him keenly! I shouldn't have been shy to look into his eyes! At least not when danger is lurking around!'.

Xavier smiles masking his shock and stands before her "You are quite impressive My Lady. But why are you scared?".

He didn't fail to notice the panic in her face. And her eyes are very expressive. Just a look said everything.

Maya looks around and walks out collecting her wits back. She walks out of the Church hurriedly "I have to leave".

Xavier follows her "You didn't answer me My Lady".

Maya states "I am not scared. I just don't like them".

She immediately curses her mouth for saying those words.

'You are dead! Did you say those to an employee?! He could be working for Royals!'.

Xavier frowns "Them?".

Maya gets nervous and manages to lie "They..the employees..I don't...They are just arrogant -".

'No the employees. .The Royals are! Both the Prince and Princess are arrogant! She almost killed me!'.

Xavier's face turned stern "What happened?! Did anyone harm you? Tell me My Lady-".

Maya mocks angrily "What is the use Sir? I am leaving the country already" and looks at his eyes "Are you capable enough to order them? Who are you anyway?".

'Harm me?! And this man could order? May be he is in some higher rank? But how can her order the Royals?!'.

Xavier smirks proudly "I can order any of them My Lady".

Maya stares his eyes for a minute and nods slowly. Her mind itches to know about him but she clears her tempting ideas for this once.

'Not this this time Maya! You have done enough by coming here! Now close your mouth and leave for your own good!!'.

She smiles curtly "Thank you for helping me.." and looks at the chain in her hand "This looks expensive? How could I keep this treasure with me? I think I shouldn't keep this".

Xavier smiles "I wish I could give you more than this but..".

Maya shakes her head "I don't even deserve this chain Sir. I am a mere stranger. I really don't want your treasure and what can I do with this chain?".

Xavier smirks "This will help you to travel in our nation's any ship with class. You would be treated no less than a Royal-".

Maya gets stunned "What?!".

'This chain could do that?!'.

Xavier points at the crystal in the pendent "Do you see this emerald?".

Maya looks at the pendent and Xavier still in shock.

'He must be ..powerful in this country...Maya ..You should run from him. Forget everything and run away from this man! He could take you again to the palace once he knows the truth! Who knows?! He could even kill you if he is that Princess's man!'.

Xavier says "This emerald stone could only be worn by Royals and highest officials of this country. So use it wisely for me My Lady".

Maya nods in a daze 'Royals and highest officials..'. She takes a step back and says "It's time to leave..".

Xavier nods and both walks towards Charles.

Xavier gets on Charles and declares "Once you show this chain, you can travel safe and sound My Lady. Don't forget to think me. If you changed your mind and want to see me in future, just show the pendent to any sailor in this harbor, then you will be in front of me before you realize".

Maya clears her throat and stares him with serious expression.

Xavier sighs "It's a shame to return without even knowing your name My Lady! Don't I deserve to know?".

Maya is choked in her throat and looks away avoiding his deep eyes. She couldn't handle the tension.

Xavier smiles "See you in future My Lady. I hope it's a small world and we will be fortunate enough to meet each other".

Maya smiles and nods touching Charles "If we are fortunate enough..". And if you are not working for that Princess or Prince! I hate them and the Royals! I never run from anything my entire life! Just pray I leave peacefully! I don't know what my true bottom line is.. The Princess conspired to kill me but I am just disgusting them...If I decide to take revenge! I swear will show what could I do!'.

Xavier smirks "He likes you too".

Only then she realizes that she was c.a.r.e.s.sing Charles for a long time.

Maya smiles and pats Charles lovingly "I like him too".

Xavier pats Charles and announces "Then Travel safely My Lady. I have something to take care of in country".

Maya nods.

Xavier rides his horse fast.

Maya looks at the chain in her hand and smiles "Travel like a Royal?!".

Her eyes turned cold and grits her teeth "I would rather be a slave than travel using this chain comfortably! They would treat me like Royals?! I swear I would starve to death than touch any of their things!".

She keeps the chain in her cloth and ties it so that it won't fall. She doesn't like to use it but she also couldn't throw it.

'It was his treasure. The man who helped me! Even though he works for Royals, he helped me. He cared for my safety!'.

She smiles "I will never forget you help Sir..". She looks back at the church and gasps "It's marvellous!".

She gets tempted to visit the place again. She was not comfortable enough around the man.

'Did I mention my weakness before? Yes..Now add an another one in the list! My love for architecture! Those beautiful carvings and statues! I swear I would marry a sculpture who sculpts my face!'.
