Maya still avoids seeing him in his eyes and says "I am not".

She mentally yells 'Why would a girl avoid seeing into a man's eyes, you fool?! Because she is ..Forget it...And I do not know why am I suddenly..feel conscious to look at him...'.

Xavier frown turns into a smirk already finding her 'reason'.

Who doesn't know that look on a girl's face?! When he is a Prince charming, he should have already used to various expressions of woman who try to impress him.

Thank God her dusky skin prevented exposing her blushing cheeks completely! Or she might have turned red by now.

Xavier clears his throat "I am here to escort you back to The Pavilion" and decides to not acknowledge her blushing for now. He is already satisfied seeing her fine.

Maya takes a deep breath and nods curtly.

'Why am I still attracted to his voice?! His voice must be his charm on all woman..'.

Maya notices Xavier walking behind her and turns towards him questioningly.

Xavier speaks with a smile "What if you get lost again? Do you know the way back to your chamber?".

Maya chuckles "For your kind notice, Your Highness. I was abducted by your own servants to this place and I know my way back!".

She starts walking forward ignoring him without caring about his reaction.

'If he feels bad, then be it. It is their mistake that I got abducted to the Empress Pavilion in front of them...Ah! Maya ! Very well! You are already remembering the names of the Royal places!..Huh..Back to the main matter. Maya! It is fortunate that it was just that Veronica girl behind this.. What if someone else did this? It took him so much time to find me. In that time I have already finished the 'problem'.. What if something else happened to me? I should never trust these Royals for my own safety!-'.

Maya stops feeling Xavier's hand holding her back from walking further and turns to see him looking back at her in determination.

'What happened to him suddenly?'.

She tries to pull her hand back but Xavier speaks "I promise. I would protect you with my life in future".

Maya's heart stops beating for a second hearing him. Those words did make her heart beat in ecstasy but she gulps the sudden excitement and gets her hand back from his hold.

'I have enough with these Royals already...And what's with his sudden promise?!'.

Maya smirks "Never promise over anything you do not have control, Sir".

She feels her heart racing and lets out a deep breath 'This man indeed knows how to put his charm on a girl! Maya... Rein your mind! This man might ruin your life.. He is a Prince and you are no one! He is just a forbidden fruit for you!'.

Xavier walks ahead with a smirk "I do have control over few things that you have no knowledge of, My Lady. Will see you soon".

Maya looks his leaving figure and lets out a relaxed breath in relief.

'I never thought his presence would affect me to this end!'.

She walks in opposite way of Xavier's and  forwards towards her chamber.

Who would know? What awaits in their paths is only decided by their very own destinies.

Maya is welcomed by an anxious person who is none other than Sarah. She got to know Maya's actions in the Imperial court and was worried about Maya.

But even after seeing Maya returned fine, Sarah couldn't be at ease now. Because she heard what happened in the Empress Pavilion.

Sarah couldn't help getting mad and w.h.i.n.es  helplessly "Why can't you stop creating problems?!".

She paces to and fro in anxiety and bites her nails worriedly.

'How can she do this?! Now what would be Princess Veronica's punishment for Maya's absurdity?! Jesus Christ! She pushed Princess Veronica down?! No one has ever had this audacity to behave this way with Princess Veronica!!'.

Maya pouts while changing her clothes "I did not do anything, Sarah. Everything is because of that girl-".

Sarah ushers hurriedly "Princess! She is a Princess, Maya! Why don't you ever listen to me?! Do you aware of the consequences for your actions today?!".

Maya giggles carelessly "Whatever the consequences might be, Sarah. They worth the look on her face today!".

HA HAA!

Maya chuckles "You should have seen her face today. She would never dare to ask someone to kneel before her now. Otherwise she would remember my lesson even if she does in future".

Maya w.h.i.n.es defeated "How are you even wearing these things?! If not for cold, I would have burnt these tight and breath-stopping dresses!".

Maya notices the Pendent that she is wearing and gets restless.

She removes the Pendent with some sudden thought and ties it in her outer robes hurriedly.

Sarah was partially feeling happy thinking about Veronica's sullen face but she is equally worried for Maya now.

She walks beside Maya and helps her to zip the corset. She shakes her head in disbelief "I can't believe you are complaining these corset! You should worry about yourself! I wonder what is she planning for you".

Maya sighs in relief as Sarah zipped the corset skilfully unless like her. She almost waged a war on the zipper previously.

Sarah speaks handing her a gown "You should be careful in future. I swear I would not let anything happen to you in my presence. I would be even more careful unless like last time. I would be more careful this time-".

Maya puts on the gown and chuckles "Why is everyone swearing to protect me today? I do not need anyone's protection, Sarah. I will be safe no matter what".

Sarah twitches her lips "How are you so confident? You defeated General Christopher easily but that doesn't mean you can win over anyone and every enemies of the Royal!".

Maya turns with a smirk "Oh I can!!".
