The Commoner Consort: The Country's Respected Empress

In a moment, the door was broken from outside  of the chamber and The Empress was stabbed from behind as she was turning her face towards Maya.

Maya opens her eyes wide in shock and screams running towards The Empress "No!!". With that scream, Maya disappeared right in front of The Empress.

The Empress looks at her warm blood oozing out in hurry and staggers holding the sharp spearhead which has tore her body all the way from her behind. But her posture was still calm as if nothing could scare her.

THUD!

The Empress closes her eyes in agony but didn't scream till now as if she is accustomed of the attacks now. But she was not prepared for this sudden betrayal and kneels down weakly. She opens her tears filled eyes and smiles seeing the empty chamber after Maya disappeared from it.

Something made her to not fight anymore. Her face only had the tired expression than any rage over the betrayers. She did not even bothered to see behind her so that she could find the person who attacked her. She is totally exhausted of everything and she looked like she has had enough of life.

With a relaxed breath, she falls on the floor facing the ground.

As if The Empress did something greatest and so she doesn't care of anything anymore.

The Royal Infirmary.

Maya wakes up in the sick bed with a loud scream "No!!".

"Your Highness!!".

She looks around the elderly people standing around her and gets even more scared.

"W-Who are you people?! What are you doing to me?!".

Maya darts from her place and steps back away from them. She didn't realise that she is already crying in agony and fear of what she has seen happening to Her in front of her own eyes!.

She steps back further in panic and grabs something from a table near her subconsciously without knowing what were on it. She warns looking at everyone "Dare you take a step towards me! I will kill every one of you!!".

She has successfully forgotten the fact that she doesn't need any thing to kill them. She could just snap her fingers to make them in to dust with her ultimate powers. After all she is scared to hell at this moment!.

An elderly man steps forward with a slight bow "Your Highness-".

Maya yells out her heart's fright "S-Stop!! I would kill everyone of you!-".

The man tries to calm Maya down "Your Highness! We are only here to aid you!".

Maya steps back in high alert "Leave me alone".

"My Lady?".

Xavier enters the chamber only to get stunned seeing Maya's panicking state.

He immediately stares the elderly doctors who has been treating Maya for about an hour by now.

One of them answers in alert "Your Highness, we couldn't find Her Highness's illness. But Her Highness suddenly got her conscious back and is accusing us-".

Xavier nods grasping the point and announces "You can leave. Let Her Highness alone for sometime".

Maya now stopped protesting but she is still breathing heavily in fright. The only image before her was The Empress being stabbed from behind!.

Maya notices Xavier taking a step towards her and gasps with a warning scream "No! Do not!".

Xavier "..." Is she scared? What happened to her?

Maya still points him with her shivering hand holding a knife and gulps her hiccups "Leave!".

Xavier is worried about her state and tries to pacify her "My Lady? What are you scared of?".

Maya holds the knife high and warns with a murder intent "Let me leave! O-Or..".

She blinks her tears filling her eyes preventing her from seeing clearly.

Xavier understands her fright 'She might have horrified by Eros during the 'ride'? Let me calm her for now' and speaks slowly "Alright, I am leaving but you don't have to be scared. No one can harm you here when I am with you. Don't you remember my promise? I promised that I would protect you with my life!".

Maya could only scream "Then where were you?! Where were you while I was-".

She stops speaking further finally getting her wits back and freezes staring at Xavier  who is just looking at her back with clueless face.

Xavier sighs guiltily "I was searching you,  My Lady. I rescued you'.

Maya blinks processing everything slowly.

'The Empress... I...T-That was..'.

Only then she recalls what she was doing before meeting the Wish-woman...

'I was leaving the Royal Palace...Eros..Bhommi...Yes! Bhommi!'.

Maya is about to look for Bhommi but notices Xavier's worried face.

Xavier walks in front of her and kneels before her to her level as she is sitting on the floor.

He apologizes "Forgive me, will you? I shouldn't have challenged you to grab the bow from Eros-".

Maya looks at him pleadingly as for some weird reason her heart felt like melting seeing his worried face. She swallows hard and asks "C-can you ..leave me alone for ..sometime?".

Xavier nods seriously and speaks "But only after you stop crying".

Maya only then realizes that she has been crying and wipes her tears subconsciously.

Xavier sighs relaxed 'Jesus Christ! This girl could really scare me! I thought that she did lose her mind!'.

Maya who was looking down checks looking at him whether he has any intention of leaving. Because he said that he would leave but he was just staring her.

Xavier walks out respecting her request.

By hearing the doors closed, Maya gasps in hurry.

"Bhommi! Where are you?".

Maya stands immediately and looks around aimlessly. She is not really scared when she alone and all by herself. Now she has gone into a complete alert zone in which she would never believe anyone of the Royals and their servants! She swears in her heart without any formal swear words.

Bhommi appears instantly "Where were you, Sister Maya?!".

Maya is taken aback 'Does she know about my visit to my future?  Already?'.
