The Controller Emperor

Chapter 13 - Second Date

Last Sunday in November, city B.

The day was rainy and quiet.

A girl was holding two huge furry cats in her arms as she stared out the apartment window in front of the city's central park.

The cats, a pure white and the other with a slight orange tone, took advantage of the c.a.r.e.s.s of his owner.

Diana was thinking about her busy week.

For the rest of that week, Diana saw Alexander working, received several tips and guidelines, and actually learned many important things for his work as a director.

Alexander was still a big shameless one who intimidated her at lunch time and always said "Recharge the battery" when she complained about her increasingly emphatic and s.e.x.u.a.l advances.

The girl's smartphone rang suddenly, pulling her out of her thoughts about the man who called her.

- Good morning, Diana. - Said Alexander's masculine and seductive voice.

Every time she heard that voice, Diana felt her heart being drawn by this extraordinarily handsome and cultivated man.

- Good morning, Alexander. - She answered in her soft voice.

- We have a charity dinner tonight. It will be hosted by the Amélia Schéi Foundation.

- That foundation that helps kids with cancer?

- That 's right. Mrs. Amelia Schéi is my maternal grandmother. Since she only had my mother as a daughter and my mother only has me as her son, I am the heir of the foundation. My grandmother is very old and my mother is out of the country. So we have to go.

- It's all right. I'll get ready. Does this count as one of the meetings I owe you or count as your girlfriend accompanying you? Diana asked as she blushed slightly.

- Well, that's my fiancée accompanying me.

- You did not even give me an engagement ring, so I think boyfriend is good enough.

- All right, I'll take a ring next time.

- No need. At least not for now, let's when we're more certain of our relationship, maybe.

- Why are you trying to push me away?

- Is not it. I just do not know for sure and would like to do it quietly.

- It's all right. Let's do it your way. For a while. I'll pick you up at six-thirty. You need me to send you something?

- I think I'm going to need to borrow your jewelry again. The ones I have are very simple and common for this type of occasion.

- Send a picture of the planned dress for the night, and I'll send you the photo of the jewelry set I think is appropriate.

- It's all right.

- I'll send the hairdresser and makeup artist at four-thirty.

Diana looked at the hour, eleven in the morning.

- It's all right.

- See you later.

- See you.

Diana hung up the phone and c.a.r.e.s.sed her cats again until noon when Anna entered the room.

- Director Aimer, lunch time.

- Oh no, do not call me home. Is weird. And I'm not hungry.

- Does not matter. If you do not take care of your health I will be fired. Then you will eat. I did something light. Chicken b.r.e.a.s.t salad with broccoli and penne with shrimp in rosé sauce. Also has your favorite caramel gelatto.

- OK you won. Cameroon!

The two girls ate together on the kitchen island as they laughed and played.

After lunch, Anna and Diana walked into Diana's Closet and chose a dress for that evening.

A white satin dress with a long skirt, a deep V-neck and thin straps.

Diana dressed and asked Anna to take a picture. He sent the image to Alexander and within a few minutes he received an answer.

"Very deep neckline, choose another more discreet."

Diana sighed and entered the closet again. Choosing a bright purple plum dress. The dress also had a long skirt but this one was in the form of superimposed petals, interlacing to each other and creating a beautiful pattern. The heart neckline was delicate and the three-quarters sleeves made in purple plum lace was elegant and haughty.

Anna photographed Diana dressed and sent the image to Alexander.

"What about this?" Diana wrote sarcastically.

"Best." Alexander replied after three minutes.

Ten minutes later, Alexander sent an image of a bracelet, a pair of large earrings, and platinum hair ornaments with amethysts and diamonds, according to his explanation. The earrings and hair ornaments were in a rain pattern of tears of diamonds and amethysts, in lapidation briolette.

Then he sent another image, this time a ring, a necklace, a pair of small earrings, and hair ornaments made of pink gold, Tanzanite, and diamonds. The gems were of round lapidation. The hair ornaments had a pattern of roses and carved leaves, decorated with tanzanites and diamonds.

The third image was of a pair of earrings and hair ornaments made in platinum and purple tourmaline in lapidation pear.

The fourth image was a bracelet, a necklace, small earrings and hair ornaments made in gold, Kunzita and diamonds in lapidation baguette. This set was especially pleasing, especially the necklace, with a large Kunzita in heart lapidation with diamonds and a long stream of white gold. The ornaments were small Kunzites in heart lapidation and several diamonds in lapidation baguette trapped in a white gold comb.

The last image was of a ring, a pair of medium earrings and a diadem made in platinum, Vesuvianita Mangan purple plum that darkened almost to black and diamonds. The Vesuvianites in lapidation highlight and the brilliantly cut diamonds were absolutely beautiful. The metal was made in pattern of orchids decorated with the gems. They were glorious. Mainly the ring, several small orchids around two large gems, a vesuvianite and a diamond. And the diadem full of orchids and small and medium gems and in the middle three gems, two large diamonds and a large vesuvianite. They were the most visible parts of the orchid pattern and where the biggest stones were.

- Okay, that last set is wonderful! Holy Heavens! Is so beautiful. Well, all are but this set pulled my heart. - Diana cried excitedly.

Soon she sent a message to Alexander.

"Bring me the set of Vesuvianitas, this set is so beautiful, it's all but, it blends perfectly with my dress and it's absolutely beautiful."

"I also figured you'd like this one. But I promised options, so I send out all the jewelry options with purple-toned stones. "

"Thank you for your consideration."

"Do not mention it."

After taking off her dress, Diana sat on the living room couch while Anna removed the red enamel and applied a cream enamel and decorated her nails with small designs of purple and black orchids.

It should be said that Anna is especially talented when it comes to manicure techniques. Since the beginning of adolescence this is his hobbie.

As Diana's nail polish dried, the two girls drank tea and talked about their impressions of their new work.

At four-thirty, the hairdresser and makeup artist arrived.

Diana wore a white robe after getting out of the shower.

After a brief greeting, she sat down on the dressing table while the two women worked on her hair and face.

- Miss Aimer, what kind of jewelry will be used in the hair? - The hairdresser asked.

- On here. - Diana showed the image of the set of jewels she would wear that night.

- How about a tall bun with a loose fringe?

- I trust your ability.

- Miss, do you want the make-up with the red lips or the dark eyes?

- Red lips. I never look good with too much makeup on my eyes. It looks like a thick, heavy makeup. Red lips look lighter and natural.

- Good.

After an hour of drying and modeling Diana's hair in a tall, elegant and complicated bun, the hairdresser finished her work.

The makeup artist finished her job in ten minutes, it was not a complicated makeup anyway. The most time consuming part was hitting the eyeliner. Since Diana did not like or needed to use base, corrective or illuminating. She only liked a bit of powder, blush, mask, silver or pale golden shadow, black eyeliner and red garnet lipstick.

After finally finishing the hairstyle, Diana put on the dress with the help of Anna and chose to wear scarpin stiletto with very high heels. She also wore a fur coat that belonged to her mother. All she had to do was put on the jewels and she would seem like a typical lady of aristocratic high society.

Diana sat elegantly on the couch and drank a cup of tea and ate honey breads and small cheese and chicken sandwiches.

At six-thirty, Alexander arrived and handed him a box of black velvet with the jewels to be worn that night. With the help of Anna, the diadem was beautifully placed in her hair.

Diana put on black silk gloves and left the apartment after saying goodbye to Anna.

When the couple entered the elevator, Alexander caught Diana's lips and gave her a passionate kiss.

- You look absolutely beautiful tonight. Like a queen. - Alexander said quietly. - My queen.

- You look awful, you know that? If this were not a special lipstick that does not come out so easily, we'd both look like two clowns. - Diana took a case with a mirror and checked her face. - Good, nothing spotted. And thank you for the compliment, but do not go out kissing a woman with lipstick before going out on a date.

- You can rest easy, the only woman I'm going to kiss is you.

- What part do not you understand? I'm including myself in the "woman" category on my affirmation.

- Darling, you should not be so strict. Life is short and kisses are limited by the time we have.

- Interesting Philosophy ...

The couple got in the car and went to the Palace Deluxe, the eight-star hotel of the Dunkelheit Conglomerate.

In the large hall of the hotel, several tables were neatly arranged. And a dance floor still existed in the middle of the hall. A stage was set up in the east corner of the hall and an orc.h.e.s.tra played beautifully.

The hall was already full and Diana could several presidents of several prominent companies.

Soon a man in his fifties came to greet Alexander.

- Mr. Dunkelheit, long time no see.

- Mr. Royce, a long time. How are you? And Mrs. Royce?

- She's somewhere around here with Bianca ... is this lady...?"

- My girlfriend, Diana Luhan Aimer. Diana, this is mr. Royce, president of the Royce group.

- Nice to meet you, Mr. Royce.

- Oh, I did not know Mr. Dunkelheit was familiar with Luhan.

- I've known Diana for some time.

- A nice couple.

- Thank you. Mr. Royce, unfortunately we have others to greet. Enjoy the feast. Let's have a jewelry auction after the banquet, some pieces were donated by my Dunkelheit family.

- Oh, jewels that can be donated by the Dunkelheit family are always the most beautiful and luxurious. My wife is sure to want to take one of these home.

- I've looked at them myself, and I believe all the ladies in this room will love it.

Alexander took Diana's hand and walked to his desk, the main table.

Several political figures and the business world national and international came to greet the couple and they all showed reactions to hearing about the relationship of Diana and Alexander.

First surprise, then the reactions split. One party was disappointed by a good bachelor being taken and the other party showed interest in hearing the name Luhan.

Those who knew what this name meant were very courteous and greeted Diana with almost the same enthusiasm used to greet Alexander.

At 7:40 a host took the stage and asked Alexander and Diana to dance to the traditional opening waltz of the event.

And Diana understood the reason for Alexander's flight to the other ladies present. They stared at Diana with hatred and looked at Alexander with a desirous and somewhat lascivious look.

The couple danced beautifully. Diana was very well versed in the different ballroom dancing. Alexander, of course, too. After all, they both received aristocratic education, even if Diana did not know that her mother had raised her as a Lady Luhan and carved the etiquette and all the other necessary things to a Lady in her bones.

Dinner began to be served at eight in the evening.

Diana and Alexander talked to the provincial governor and his wife, and Secretary of State and his wife who were sitting at the same table as Alexander.

The truth is that the men talked about politics and the ladies were practically silent, smiling politely and saying a comment from time to time. Just when the subject changed for the auction, the ladies showed their enthusiasm. All animated by the jewels that would appear in the auction.

At nine-thirty, the auction began. The host stepped up onto the stage and excitedly presented each piece.

After several beautiful pieces, the host showed a much more attractive piece.

A girl in a red dress came in and picked up the tray with the pair of earrings previously auctioned off while another girl came in with another tray. This one containing a gold ring on the sides was carved with lilies and a large four-carat pink diamond, finely cut in pink lapidation.

- The next item is this ring. The ring was produced thirty-five years ago. It was the birthday gift of a Lady of a great aristocratic family. Four-carat pink diamond. The purity of the gem is one of the best I have ever seen in my entire life. Rated five million, the ring "Lily."

- My mother had a gold ring and a pink diamond. She won on her fifteenth birthday. - Diana said absently.

Of course Alexander knew that. Before the auction, all jewelry went through a meticulous check in advance and he knew that Diana's mother pawned the ring, a diadem and a necklace that were three of the items in this auction. He followed the trail of the Yangxuan family jewels and saw that they had been sold. Luckily, Lilian still had regret in selling the jewelry she won as her mother's gift and only sold those three items out of necessity. It is true that she took only a few pieces when she left the Luhan family and to this day, Diana keeps these jewels in a safe and never uses them, for fear of ruining her mother's beloved jewels. And that's where about sixty percent of all Diana's inheritance money comes from. The sale of these three pieces.

- The rules are the same, starting price, five million. - Announced the Host.

- Five million five hundred thousand. - said a gentleman.

- Ten million. - Alexander said.

Diana listened and looked at him in surprise.

- I know how far the value of an item can go in an auction. Why delay time if I want to buy it? - Alexander commented.

- Ten million for Mr. Dunkelheit! Does anyone give more? I'll give you one! I'll give you two! Sold! - Said the Host. He did not even dare to heat the product trying to increase the value of the play talking about its beauty, history and meaning.

After a few more plays, a girl in red came in with a tray. On the tray, a diadem made of white gold with carved leaves, diamonds with millennium lapidation and aquamarines with marquise lapidation, it seemed that three blue chrysanthemums beautifully decorate the diadem.

- The next item is this diadem. There are seven four-carat diamonds and twenty-four four-carat aquamarines. The quality of the gems are excellent. This diadem has an ancient history. It was produced in the seventeenth century by a craftsman that everyone should know, master Leonard Camillo. The piece is valued at eighteen million, the diadem "The Blue Chrysanthemum".

- So beautiful! - Diana exclaimed.

- Twenty-five million. - Alexander announced quietly, he was going to buy Diana's family jewels anyway.

- Twenty-five million to Mr. Dunkelheit. Who gives more? I'll give you one! I'll give you two! Sold! - Said the Host.

After three pieces, the most beautiful item of the evening came.

- This is a necklace of black pearls and diamonds. The necklace was made in the eighteenth century, at the behest of Earl Yangxuan in country E, a gift for his wife. Rated twenty-five million, this necklace is called "Louise". - Said the Host to the public.

- Funny, that necklace. My mother said that her mother had a necklace of black pearls and diamonds and that she was pawned many years ago ... but I do not think it was something like that. It sure is not the same. - Diana said in a low voice, staring at the necklace, only Alexander could hear his words.

- Twenty-seven million! - said a young lady.

- Thirty millions! - said a gentleman.

- Forty millions. - Alexander said quietly.

The whole room was quiet. Even the people who wanted to fight for the play gave up. What's the point of fighting the god of money at an auction?

- Forty million to Mr. Dunkelheit. Who gives more? I'll give you one! I'll give you two! Sold! - Said the Host. And again, he did not dare to heat the product.

Diana did not know what those items were and she was not even interested in what Alexander wanted to do with them, but deep down in her heart, she felt that these pieces were familiar, perhaps because of the stories told by her mother.

At last a girl in red came in carrying a large tray. On the tray, a set of platinum jewelry rested beautifully. A ring, a bracelet, a necklace, a pair of earrings, and two combs. All made with black diamonds.

- This set was offered by Mr. Dunkelheit. The complete set is valued at one hundred and fifty million.

- It is wonderful! - Exclaimed the wife of the Secretary of State.

- Yes, very beautiful. - Diana commented.

- This is a set I bought from a designer friend. I thought it was a good item for tonight's auction. - Alexander said quietly.

And it was true. He bought the item from a friend. He would never put a jewel made by himself at an auction. Your jewels are made for your lady Dunkelheit and only your lady Dunkelheit.

Soon the battle for the set began and the final price was two hundred and twenty million.

Alexander made a brief speech at the end of the auction and the guests applauded with enthusiasm.

At eleven o'clock Alexander took Diana to her apartment, after trying very hard to make her sleep in Dunkelheit Shine. Obviously, to no avail.

The tycoon could only return home with sadness exhaling in his domineering aura, but he was satisfied.

Throughout the banquet Diana tenderly grasped his hand. She smiled sweetly and her smile was genuine. Many times they communicated with a single glance.

He could see that all his effort was working and their relationship was closer and firmer.
