The Controller Emperor

Chapter 20 - It Has Never Been So Romantic

That night Alexander invited Diana to a special dinner.

They arrived at Dunkelheit Shine in a helicopter this time, after all, the time must be exact for the surprise.

After they reached the castle, Alexander entered a large, charming office, opened a drawer on his desk, and took a black velvet box from his pocket.

He took Diana's hand and walked quietly through the great castle.

The corridors with marble floors and walls of some artwork worth millions were very attractive.

They headed for the central tower of the castle, the tallest tower.

After a relatively long climb, they reached the top of the tower.

Diana expected the wind to be strong with snow, but to her surprise a glass bell jar protected the top of the tower. The winds and snow met only the glass and inside the dome was very comfortable.

From this tower, Diana had a very poetic and beautiful view of the gardens and city B to the north. A planned forest, a large greenhouse complex, and a garden were in the east. Another planned forest, several open fields, and another large complex were seen in the south. A large lake with a few weeping willows, a small artfully crafted forest of plum, cherry, peach, wisteria, camellia and magnolia trees, and the mountain ranges were in the west. The sunset lined the bluish snow-white mountain ranges at the top.

The blue lake reflected the orange, red, pink, purple, and green hues that covered the sky, the mountain range, the plum trees, and the blooming camellia bushes. It was a breathtaking sight.

"It's magnificent! I could look at this vision for the rest of my life!" Diana said looking to the west.

"You can if you want." Commented Alexander absently, looking at the young lady.

She was beautiful in the sunset light.

A maid poured tea and left quickly, letting the couple have their time.

"Diana?"

"Yes?" Diana raised her head and looked at Alexander, holding her teacup. His voice was serious and resolute, she felt she should look into his eyes.

"I think at this time when we are together everything was a lot of fun. I like talking to you. You always listen to what's on my mind. Always kind and patient with me, even when I'm tyrant." Alexander stared intently into Diana's eyes, showing the sincerity of his words. His voice was soft and seductive. "I truly believe I'll never find another woman who makes me feel what I feel for you. When you are with me, my heart is at peace, I feel calm, but when you touch me, my heart beats so fast it feels like it will come out of my c.h.e.s.t. I'm really in love with you. I don't think it's right to say passion. I love you. I wake up thinking of you and sleep thinking of you. I worry not to see you. If this is not love, I do not know what it is." Alexander knelt in front of Diana and took her left hand. "Diana, will you accept to be my wife? Do you accept to accompany me and to cherish? Will you let me love you, spoil you and protect you? Do you want to be my queen?"

Alexander took the black velvet box from his pocket and put it open in Diana's hands.

A pair of engagement rings resting against the black velvet.

The male ring was simple. Made in white gold with a small red carat diamond and a camellia engraved inside the ring, it would be hidden when the ring was on its owner's finger. Showing exactly what the ring owner would like to do, hide his white camellia.

The feminine ring was graceful, made of white gold, a four-carat blood red diamond cut princess. On the sides, camellias were carved beautifully with small green stones on the sides, like camellia leaves.

"Yes I do." Diana whispered. She had tears in her eyes and an embarrassed voice.

Why hide what you felt? She loves Alexander.

She loves his seductive and powerful aura like an Emperor, she felt safe and spoiled in his strong arms, she felt the passion that ran between them whenever he kissed her. And she was prepared to try.

A part of her was scared but a part wanted to give it a try. And the part that wanted to be with him screamed louder.

Alexander took Diana's left hand and gently placed the ring on the ring finger.

"They say that diamonds are eternal and that marriage must be as eternal as a diamond, and that red is the color of love. So, I chose a red diamond to be the main gem of this ring. The two small stones like camellia leaves are Alexandrian. I chose to carve camellias because this is the flower that best represents you. You know, a camellia should never have its petals touched or it will get dark spots and wither. Then I heard Mrs. Jones say that white camellias mean "perfect beauty" and realized that they really are just like you. A perfect beauty, pure, gentle and sweet, and bloom in winter, just as you were born in winter. Did you like it?"

"It's beautiful. I loved it." Diana wiped her eyes with her right hand after leaving the velvet box on the glass table next to the couch they were facing, looking west.

She took the male ring and placed it on the ring finger of Alexander's left hand. The hand he offered her.

"Wait, it's in the wrong hand. We are not married." She said and would take off the ring when Alexander took her hand.

"It's in the right place. Once you put it on my finger, it will never come out. Hope you do the same." Commented Alexander seriously.

Her piercing, beautiful sapphire blue eyes allowed no lies or detours.

"All right. May it be eternal while it lasts."

Alexander looked into Diana's eyes and said solemnly. "I promise to be by your side for the rest of eternity. Even if I die, my soul will be by your side."

He kissed her deeply, without waiting for an answer. No matter the answer, the promise would never change.

The sun was setting beautifully and the couple only had each other in their eyes and minds.

The employees set the table in the center of the tower.

Candle, rose and champagne lights. All organized in a romantic way.

The darker the sky, the more romantic the atmosphere became.

When the sun is gone, stars dot the sky beautifully.

Diana noticed a brighter light behind her and turned to see what it was.

She was blown away. The glass table glowed with tiny lights and a vase of roses underneath it, creating a beautiful pattern resembling roses intertwined with stars.

The vases of red roses were placed before and inside the vases, small lanterns illuminating the flowers and creating a romantic and lovely atmosphere.

She saw the small vase with two red roses on the table, and a Led candle was lit.

She felt touched by Alexander thinking about his fear of fire.

An ice bucket with a bottle of champagne rested on the table, two champagne glasses, and all the dishes needed for a romantic dinner.

Alexander led Diana to the table and poured the champagne.

"Hey, you know I can't drink alcohol." Diana said pointing to the glass that Alexander offered her.

"Do not worry. The percentage of alcohol in this champagne is very low, you can drink a glass without getting drunk. And you are here at home with me. What is there to worry about?"

"I don't want to make a joke to myself."

"Do not worry. I will take care of you." Alexander handed her the glass. "May our marriage last forever, and may our love last even longer." He whispered in Diana's ear and lightly tapped his glass on her glass.

The dinner was enjoyable. All the dishes Diana liked were on the table, hoping the girl would eat enough.

After dinner, the couple sat on the west-facing couch and watched the stars.

Diana fell asleep in Alexander's c.h.e.s.t. The peaceful and serene sleep.

The man grabbed his fiancée, carried her into the bedroom, and helped her off with her makeup, shoes, and clothes, lying beside her as she finished her work.

He pulled her into his warm embrace and the girl buried her little face in his c.h.e.s.t, sleeping in complete peace and security.

"My Queen, I would really like to consummate our marriage today…" Alexander whispered and let out a sad breath.

He tightened his fiancee's body tightly in his arms and closed his eyes.
