The Copy Cat

After the news that Nathalie was saved by brutes on the grass plains by Robin, he was given respect among the people and was given free clothing and free lodging for a week.

With a room for himself, Robin was able to take a bath on his own and wore his new clothes, "This seems nice." Robin muttered and robbed his wet hair with cloths.

Robin decided to look at his Status Screen, to see what's new...

"My Copy Cat skill actually leveled up." Lucy was happy and thought that it would have a new ability. so he looked at the descripton to see a new skill.

[Copy Cat Level 2 Ability: Has the ability to delete a certain copied skill in exchange for EXP. The amount of EXP received will decide on the rareness and the level of a certain skill.]

Robin was surprised to see the new ability but he does know what to do with it, "Does deleting a skill really that helpful?" Robin layed on his bed and stared at the ceiling, "How about I delete Bash, I mean, it's not really useful anymore because I have a martial art now."

On the open status screen, he tried cl.i.c.k.i.n.g on the word [Bash Lv. 1] and a another small screen appeared.

Robin hesitated for a little but eventually clicked Yes. After he deleted it, he didn't seem strange or something new happened and immediately regretted it, "How could I do that? I mean the Bash is common but I thought I could level up!" He rolled around his bed and now he has only the Dagger Arts as a form of offense.

Knock... Knock... Knock... Someone was at Robin's door and he stopped rolling, "Who could it be?" Robin thought and stood up, he walked to the door and opened it, for the pretty Nathalie to appear.

"Sorry to bother you Robin but the village elder wants to see you." Nathalie said he was ordered by the village elder because it was urgent. Robin happily agreed and went along with Nathalie.

After going out of the inn, Robin asked, "So why does the village elder want to see me?" Robin asked with a carefree voice.

"I think it was about the brutes that assaulted me. The village elder thought they were part of the Land Bandits." Nathalie hesitatingly said and Robin saw as Nathalie clutched his hands together, afraid.

"I see..."

After a small walk and talk, they finally arrived at the village elder's house. They were welcomed by an old man who is holding a wooden stick, "Welcome Robin, I suggest we go inside." said the old man and walked away.

"That's the village elder." Nathalie instantly turned happy after a while, "There was a story that in his prime days, he was feared to be a strong warrior." Nathalie randomly said a fact about the village elder.

Staring at Nathalie saying the story, he looked at the village elder who was entering his house, "This guy must be praised all over the village.". Nathalie and Robin went inside and saw that the village elder was already sitting.

"First of all, I give you my thanks for saving Nathalie." The village elder gave thanks to Robin, "She is a special girl, after all."

"Special girl?"

The village elder immediately changed the topic, "I hope that Nathalie already told you about the brutes being Land Bandits, right?" the village elder asked and Robin nodded.

"What are the Land Bandits?"

"So you're not from around here. The Land Bandits are infamous bandits around this area and has been also harrassing the nearby village for quite a long time." The village elder said as he sipped tea and continued, "And apparently, someone let's members of the Land Bandits escape. There is a great chance they will attack this village."

Hearing that they will attack this village, Robin's eyes widened as anger secretly boiled inside him, "I'm sorry, I should have finished them off." Robin said in a regretted tone.

Then, Robin realized something, "I expect that the Land Bandit's leader is strong?" as long that Robin can copy their skills, he can overcome them.

The village elder nodded and Robin smiled, "Village elder, I have a way." and stood up.

"You are not facing the leader head on, do you?" The village elder stood up in shock as he saw the brimming will of Robin's eyes oozing out of him, "This boy..."

After leaving the village elder's house, Nathalie followed along, "So what is your plan?" she asked. Robin was silent for a while and changed the topic, "So why did the village elder told me you were special?" Robin asked.

Nathalie was startled by the question, "Well.." she hesitated.

"You have a blessing, do you?" Robin secretly peeked unto Nathalie's status screen while they were on ther way on the village. Even though it is disrespectful, curiousity just takes over his mind.

Nathalie became shocked when she heard what Robin said, "H-how..."

"Don't worry, I also have one." Robin said to comfort Nathalie, "This is our little secret, okay?"

Apparently, People who have blessings are the "chosen people of god" and are heavily sought after. People who have blessings are extremely rare and they could be taken from their family from the king so he understands why Nathalie is so heavy on keeping it a secret.

"Why are you telling me this?" Nathalie asked when she heard that Robin also has a blessing. Robin just simply smiled and said, "I want you to teach me magic." By teaching, he meant by copying it.
