Samantha headed towards the VIP room while all the men were staring st her back. Samantha remembered when his father was invited to attend a banquet. Jessica told her that it was a costume party and she wore a wonder woman costume.

She was humiliated in front of her dad's friends and learned not to trust anyone else after that. The only one she can trust after that was her best friend, Irene and posters of Alex in her bedroom. She talked to the posters like a crazy person and told the poster about her problems.

Samantha calmly opened the door and saw Alex looking at her. She felt her heartbeat getting faster and faster, but in the outside, she looked calm as she went near to Alex. Alex stood up and grabbed her hand. Alex led her to the exit of the auction house with men staring at them in all directions.

Samantha was feeling nervous. She constantly looked at Alex, and he only saw an expressionless face. She heard a man's questioning voice: "Is it handsome?"

Samantha did not know what he was asking about: "What do you mean?"

Alex said casually: "My face, is it handsome?"

Samantha was stupefied: "Umm...Yes." then she blushed and twirled her fingers. It was her habit of twisting her fingers when she was nervous or shy. Her best friend told her that it was cute seeing her twirling her fingers.

'It's not just handsome. It's gorgeous.' her heart roared.

Alex seemed satisfied with what she said, and it quietened again. Samantha wanted to start a conversation. She asked: "Umm, where are we going?"

Alex casually answered: "We are going to see a movie and eat dinner."

Samantha tried to think of what questions to ask. She came up with: "What kind of movie?"

"You'll see." Alex acted mysteriously.

"Okay."

Then, Alex sprang the question she already heard two times: "So, have you thought about my offer?"

Samantha's heartbeat became faster and faster again just after she calmed it down. "Umm, can I refuse?"

Alex seriously said: "No."

'Then why the hell are you asking me!' she said in her heart.

Samantha wanted to evade the topic. Although she had a crush with Alex, she did not plan to get married so young. Samantha was only 25 years old. She then remembered an article about Alex that she was against, but she has no choice but to say it.

"Aren't you gay?"

Then the atmosphere became cold, which made Samantha feel the chills. She looked at calm looking face of Alex. She then kept quiet and did not speak again.
