Alex patted her back, and Samantha cried even more. He said to his assistant: "Let's go home."

The assistant recovered from his daydream, and worriedly asked: "How about the meeting with the Chinese Ambassador? It is critical for the company's stocks."

Alex calmly said: "I will do the meeting live from my home office." then he felt her calm breathing. Samantha fell asleep.

Alex saw her innocent and beautiful face. He noticed her back when they were in high school. Samantha was a scholar, and she got her scholarship because she's smart.

Samantha was bullied in school, and he silently protected her. After high school, they never saw each other again. That was when Alex rejected every girl her parents introduced to him. Some even famous supermodels, they also introduced a twin.

His parents said something he never thought they would ever say in their life: "Buy one, take one."

Even his two younger brothers, Jason and Howard, felt their skin crawl when they heard their parents advertising ladies to their oldest brother. They were grateful that they did not inherit the business-minded genes of their father in school, or they will bear the brunt of "Buy One, Take One."

Alex felt the car stop and looked at his house. He got out and carried Samantha towards the door where the door opened, and a blonde man opened the door. The blonde man's face looks somewhat like Alex. His eyes were deep brown, and his face looks a little more childish than Alex.

"Bro, you have to help me." the young man's voice sounded. "Our parents have been bugging me to get a wife, tell them I'm not born to be locked to one woman." his voice was pretty annoying.

The blonde man saw Alex carrying a woman, and he saw his brother's eyes look at him coldly, he knew that he should shut up.

Alex went past him and his younger brother, Jason, looked at Samantha with a curious gaze.

Alex climbed the stairs and laid her down the bed, he turned around and saw his annoying younger brother at his phone. Jason looked like he's finding something. Alex never saw this expression on Jason's face before.

Alex hoped it was work, but his expectations burst into a million pieces when Jason showed him a picture.

"I found it. Hey, bro isn't she the Miss. Unfortunate in our school?"

Jason handed his phone and a picture of a class from 6 years ago. Samantha was at the side the teacher, and beside her was Alex. Alex was also cold and heartless back then. He got confessions from thousands of girls attending the school, and he turned down every one.

He admired Samantha back then because even though her mother died and her father remarried instantly, she never showed it in her face and when they graduated and parted their ways, Alex always felt something was missing.

Alex handed his phone back to his younger brother and headed towards the library. He needed to video chat with the Chief Financial Officer and the Ambassador of China.

Alex fluently spoke Chinese and English at the same time. Alex managed to make a deal with China and increase the stocks of his company by at least 10-20 percent. Alex finished all of that and looked at his watch. It was already evening.

Alex spent 8 hours and skipped lunch for the meeting. There was a knock on the door, and a girl's weak voice sounded from the other side of the door: "Mr. Walton."
