"Can you believe he said Vampire bastard!" I rolled my eyes at the ceiling of the rabbit and noticed a stain of rust. Jacob sighed and eased into his seat.

"I'm happy I'm too old for that," he smiled. I crossed my arms over my c.h.e.s.t while glaring out of the passenger window. We were in the deserted parking of the school. It was around 4 pm and most of the club activities were over. "Come here, I'll ease your pain away," he opened his arms at me and I eagerly sunk in his warmth. Jacob dropped a kiss on my forehead.

"You're not going to kiss me? I just got detention and my life sucks," he chuckled at my comment.

"You're sounding more and more like a teenager and it's a little scary," I pushed away from him angry that he still treated me like a little kid.

"Oh! Hold your horses. No need to burn me to cinders," he rose his palms up as a sign of surrender. "I mean, you're growing up so fast. I'm scared you'll grow out of this...soon," he gestured to the distance between us.

"I'm not," I crossed my arms over my c.h.e.s.t again and frowned at the dashboard.

"I'm sorry," he added after an awkward silence. "I really am," he said in a gentler tone.

"I know, I can feel it," I whispered. His arms wrapped around me as he pulled me closer in his embrace and his hot lips brushed against mine. I lean in, turning his shy kiss into a passionate one.

"Mm, we... we must...go," he escaped and turned the key in the ignition. I pressed my lips together still feeling our kiss linger. Here he goes again, running away when things became interesting. I guess Dad's lectures freaked him out.

"Yeah, we should. Dad will be angry as always," I commented absent-mindedly. I was a little annoyed at Jacob for always finding excuses. What can I do? I was a freak, after all, stuck in a body that ages too quickly. My mind and my body always in conflict. I sighed and buckled my belt. As the scenery sped to a blur I stared at the horizon.

"It's ok, school never last forever," I chuckled at his attempt to cheer me up.
