This skeleton wasn’t buried deep. It should have been buried by the heavy snow in recent days. It stood to reason that this man was killed by monsters recently, but his clothes were old and ragged. Earth stuffed it with traces of insect erosion.

“These are burial clothes,” Ning Shaosi said, “Mortals will wipe the hands and feet of dead people, dress them in burial clothes and bury them in coffins.”

With a slight pull, the bloody skeleton was completely extracted out and overturned the snow surface. The skull was deeply buried in the snow, but the clothes looked flat on the snow because there was no flesh to hold them up.

“Is it possible that someone’s gravesite has been dug?” Lou Muge touched his chin and his eyes flashed. “Those strange diseases of the villagers, could it also be because of the Demon Gu?”

Ning Shaosi shook his head, untied the brocade handkerchief wrapped around his hand and threw it aside. “I didn’t detect any Demon Gu in the person who died before.”

“Then what is this Demon Gu for?”

“They should burrow into the bones, and then drive the dead body,” Ning Shaosi answered.

Just as his words fell, the decayed skeleton on the ground suddenly issued a click. The two looked down at the same time and watched as the bloody skeleton suddenly raised his skull. It slowly turned its head towards them, and the two black holes in the eyes bored into Lou Muge.

        That look was quite creepy.

Immediately after, frequent creakings sounded, and the skeleton actually twisted up, just as Ning Shaosi said.

Lou Muge hurriedly straightened up. While the skeleton was still crawling up, he raised his foot and stomped on the skull. He turned his head to Ning Shaosi and said, “I know how this skeleton appeared here.”

Ning Shaosi slightly inclined his head, waiting for his next sentence.

“It crawled here by itself.” Lou Muge pointed in a direction. “From the graveyard over there.”

“Then shall we go to the cemetery and take a look?” Ning Shaosi suggested.

Lou Muge also intended to do so. He bent down to pick up the lantern, but out of the blue, a bloody claw from the snow stretched out. Fortunately, Lou Muge’s reaction was extremely sensitive. He subconsciously leaned back, and dodged the claw from piercing his cheek.

Ning Shaosi pulled his arm to drag him back, only to see a pair of bloody legs on the snow stand up, causing the snow on the clothes to flutter down. The skull still had flesh hanging on it, but then the skeleton attacked with claws bared.

Lou Muge swiftly took out the white bone fan he hid, flipped it around on his fingertips and looked at a claw. He wanted to smash the claws, but to his surprise, the entire skeleton was hurled violently away as if hit by a wallop and then shattered into bits.

Ning Shaosi looked at the fan, wanting to say something.

Lou Muge didn’t expect the fan to be so powerful. He couldn’t help but fondle it with his finger and found that although the fan seemed to be made of bone, it was as smooth as fat jade to the touch and was a treasure.

Lou Muge had seen countless divine artifacts. If there was something that could draw his praise, it was bound to be a pretty powerful thing, except that he had never heard of a fan divine weapon.

While he was marveling at the workmanship, six or seven corpses emerged from the snow. Some of which had rotted into bones while some seemed to have died just a short time ago. However, there wasn’t any sluggishness in their movements.

Lou Muge turned the fan in his hand and used it so fluently that he knocked anyone who pounced with one accurate shot. He smashed the skeletons into pieces in front of him with the several strokes of the fan, leaving the fan stained with sludge.

Lou Muge was also somewhat embarrassed that he had used someone else’s stuff so smoothly. He wiped the sludge off the fan with his sleeve and raised it at Ning Shaosi, indicating that the fan was still dry and clean.

        Ning Shaosi smiled at him.

He appeared unbelievably innocent, making Lou Muge couldn’t help but want to rub his head. Just as the thought formed in his head, it was interrupted by a scream.

The scream was harsh and miserable, emanating from the stage. Lou Muge frowned lightly, then remembered that there were still people from Shan’an over there, and quickly ran towards it.

Ning Shaosi lagged behind, lifting the lantern and following him. As they ran closer to the stage, they found that it was surrounded by bloody corpses, scattered enough to one or two dozens. The people singing the opera were in the middle, but with the few lanterns for lighting down on the ground, vision was a little hard.

Lou Muge glanced at those people quickly and found that Aunt Li was somehow missing. Several men were waving things in their hands and shouting frantically. One bloody bone clawed up and scratched one of them. The claw slashed a big hole in his neck, and he instantly collapsed to the ground.

Tao Zhai kicked a skeleton in front of him on the stage, but didn’t notice that Tao Ming, who was protecting him from behind, was caught by another one. The skeleton bared its teeth and bit Tao Ming’s neck.

Lou Muge’s heart sank when he saw it.  While moving, he mobilized a light blue light on his palm. Water droplets rolled in his palm and lingered along his fingertips.

However, before he could take one step more, a person suddenly fell from the sky. When he landed, a powerful gust rushed out of the man’s feet and swept the thick snow all over the ground. For a time, the sky turned white, with more than a dozen bodies and screaming people flying together.

Lou Muge put up a defense but was still knocked away by the momentum and embraced by Ning Shaosi behind him.
