Squeak sound could be heard all around. The foul stench the rats were giving off enveloped the air which could cause someone to vomit their inside, it was that bad. Several red eyes could be seen in the forest all around, they glared at the intruders. One Rat jumped towards Yozara but was reduced to cinders by the Little Fox.

"They're everywhere, Ill use this pistol you gave me for now. If I infuse the bullets with Life Energy it would be a sure kill on any of these rats." Yozara stated as she pulled out the pistol strapped to her side. She then coated all 18 bullets in Life energy as the fox was killing nearby rats.

'EEEEKEEKE!" The rats were making screeching sounds as Rein was slaying them, there were simply too many in one place. "Yozara! Use your water Wave Technique. It is an AoE move, blow some of these guys away!" Rein yelled as he was killing. Yozara, who'd been shooting nearby rats, nodded.

Yozara gathered water in her hand at rapid speeds. "Water Wave!" Both Rein and Grave jumped into Air to dodge the incoming water attack meant for the rats. The rats were swept away by the water wave, this gave them leeway to kill some rats solo or by 2's. "Die you filthy thing, you living is a sin in itself!" Rein said as he cut down multiple rats.

The mission that they were completing was, in fact, a co-op mission. This meant that if one of them got the kill on a rat it would count for both of them. Rein check his mission log to see how many they'd killed so far, he'd been killing for some time now and didn't bother to count how many he slaughtered.

Mission: Pest Control: Kill 250 Fanged Rats (77/250)

Rein nodded to himself, some of these kills were executed by Yozara so it wasn't all him. Three rats decided to sneak attack Graves who was in the process of killing a rat. To bad for these rats, Graves Combat level was too high and his speed was pretty fast. All it took was one slash or touch from Graves and the rats would start to corrode. A Green Acid-like substance would burn into the rats, this caused them to screech hysterically "EEKEKEK" Graves would then put an end to them while they were screaming in pain.

Just as both Yozara and Rein were feeling good about how close they were to completing their first mission, the ground shook again. What came up from the ground was 5 brown rats, they were uglier than the grey minion class rats. They had crossed eyes and looked goofy, they were slightly bigger in size compared to the minion rats. Rein knew this was a higher class rat than these gray ones and decided to appraise them.

Rein had just ranked up to Copper Grade 8 so he wasn't worried about these rats. But with the fact that the higher ranked Rats could now spit their Toxic Saliva, worried Rein a bit.

"Yozara be careful! These rats can shoot Toxic Saliva! Their ranks are at the Copper Grade 5 Level and they have some Minor Intelligence." Rein Immediately warned, he didn't want her getting caught off guard.

"Uhg! These guys are uglier and stinkier than their other rat buddies!" Yozara said with disgust when she heard what Rein said, this made her feel even more disgusted with these rats. The rats didn't hide it or waste any time, the rats used their abilities and fired their Saliva Spitting Technique toward Yozara. They could tell that she wasn't really a mobile person and probably wouldn't be able to dodge. Yozara face changed seeing the intelligence in these rats, two rats had fired upon her!

The attack hit Yozara, the sound of bubbling could be heard upon contact. "Nooo" Rein was shocked seeing what just happened. "You damn filthy rats!" Just as Rein was about to rage he saw a bullet penetrate one of the Brown rats head, it died right on the spot! "What!?" Rein looked over only to see Yozara was fine and dandy, how was this possible!?

"Rein, it is a good thing you gave me your barrier ring or else..." Yozara said while in a cold sweat. She had just remembered that she was given a powerful defense item by Rein and used it immediately at the last moment. Yozara had already Level up to Copper Grade 5 and was on her way to 6 if they killed every rat here.

I am glad I'm a good thinker and knew you would need something like that." Rein feigned like he knew this situation would occur. "Alright, let's kill these nasty rats! They're warrior class rats so there must be a higher class than them besides the Queen." Rein was sure there had to be a higher existence than these Brown Warrior Class rats.

Yozara glared at the last 4 Brown rats, her eyes were filled with killing intent which shocked Rein, When did she become some dark sided killer!? "Ice Wind!" Yozara yelled and a gust of cold wind came from God who knows where. The rats were covered in frost, this was clearly another AoE attack, she then shot a light ray at one of the rats, penetrating its body and into its heart, it dropped dead after seeing a bright light.

Rein came out of his surprise and attack one of the brown rats from the side with his sword. "Die!" The sword was encased in an electric current that struck one of the rats in the neck. The rat screeched as it was bleeding out of its neck. Rein, signal Graves to help him with the last 2 rats, Graves acted immediately, and they both jointly attacked one of the brown rats. The rat died harshly, it couldn't even resist a little.

The last Brown rat seemed to understand something and turned to run away. "Ahahaha" Rein laughed coldly, he then shot a fireball at the last brown rat that was fleeing. The rat was engulfed in flames. "EKEEKEKE" The rat screamed menacingly until it stopped moving altogether, it had been burned to a crisp!

Rein started to feel tired, he was clearly running out of Life Energy. Rein then crushed a refill card. The refill card counted for both of them. Yozara who was feeling exhausted felt her energy come back and was elated about it.

They then began to kill the rest of the rats around them with the help of their summoned beast. With the 5x Exp Card still in play, Yozara and Rein leveled up again. Rein was now at the peak of Copper Rank, Copper Grade-9. Yozara was now at Copper Grade-6. The rats in the area were finally cleared.

"Goodness, That was one crazy battle! Rein, do you want to continue forward?" Yozara looked at Rein who had his eyes closed like he was meditating. There was no way a rat could sneak her because of her territory Technique, The beast would have to have a powerful stealth ability or an ability that could counter it.

"I think we should continue to advance. The map is showing us the last location and it is glowing gold, this must be where the queen is." Rein said this then checked the rat kill count.

Mission: Pest Control: Kill 250 Fanged Rats (146/250)

'Hmm, I think we should go as well. We're so close to finishing the mission, we even ranked up, I feel my power rising." Yozara agreed to what Rein said, though this battle was harsh and close for her! Rein could only imagine how things would have turned out if those rats were stronger than them, he felt chills just thinking about it.

Rein: Yozara, I think we should advance more cautiously and not just walk right into the rat's nest like we just did.

Yozara: Okay, we can take it slowly and sneak our way over. I have no problem with that, I really want the rewards from killing this queen.

Rein nodded and walked towards Yozara to push her in the general direction of the nest. Rein and Yozara traveled slowly and cautiously through the forest. According to the system, Experience boost cards were much rarer than the rating given to them. They were just rated by how much exp they gave and not the drop itself. Rein figured that he wouldn't be so fortunate to get his hand on another experience boosting card again, at least not for a while.

'Ugh! Do you smell that rein, it smells like those shitty rats again!" Yozara already knew the smell of these rats by now. The smell was quite horrible and sour with the smell of death all over them. Rein was starting to get used to this terrible environment.

Rein knew that once all the bosses were killed in this world they could transfer to a different world where there were actually people who cultivated. This world was basically just a Prolonge world to strengthen people before going to the real challenging worlds. This Dimension allowed people to tame some powerful beast. Monster tamer or Imperial Censors were very rare in every world that was soon to come and gave the individual an advantage over enemies in groups.

This world was the best way to get an Extremely rare monster that would only appear here and not in some worlds. For example, there is some world where dragons have gone extinct and monster tamers would never be able to have one.

Rein and Yozara continued forward through the forest under the terrible stench coming from ahead. They looked and saw a cave, this cave was obviously the nest of the Fanged Rats from before. The cave was being guarded by 5 Gray rats, these were, of course, Minion class rats. Four of the rats had no combat strength while one of them had the Combat Level of Copper grade 2.

Rein explained his plan on how to kill these guys as fast as possible. Yozara would freeze the 4 non-combat level beast while he immediately killed the copper ranked rat. They both nodded in agreement, Yozara shot an ice ball towards 1 rat while she immediately sent Icy Wind towards the whole group. the 4 rats were frozen and couldn't utter a cry. Rein flashed with his sword and chopped towards the Copper ranked rats before it could call for help, the rat's head was chopped off just like that.

The notification went off another 3 times after the first which meant that they all died. Rein couldn't help but think he needed an AoE ability too. Then he remembered something, there was a move he got earlier called Static Formation which was an epic grade Technique!

Rein could either have the system integrate it to him or he could simply crush the skill card. "Integrate the Static Formation Technique, Please!" Rein immediately called out the system to do it for him.

"Good, Very Good!" Rein grinned widely upon learning his new AoE Technique. Yozara rowed over as his grin didn't go unnoticed by her.

"What are you grinning about? Are you some sorta sadist who loves seeing creatures suffer?" Yozara teased seeing Rein grin like he saw a piece of tasty meat.

'Sorry, but I am not into BDSM like you, okay." Rein looked Yozara up and down with a grin

"Shameless pervert! What has gotten into you? You've become more perverted than before, you idiot, hmph!" Yozara ignored Rein ridiculing words and scolded his gaze. Rein couldn't help but look, her c.h.e.s.t was quite huge. In fact, Rein was quite happy when he had to carry her because they would rub against him, her b.u.t.t was no exception, she did play a lot of sports before she got injured. Yozara mainly liked to wrestle and do archery so she was really in shape, rein drooled every time he would go to her wrestling matches, she wore tight clothes all the time which would cause his eyes to bulge, she was only 13 when she was injured.

"Alright, I was just joking. Lets head into this cave or should I say into the domain of evil itself!" Rein changed the subject fast, he didn't really like to argue and usually ignore people who tried to. This wouldn't stop him from teasing her every now and then.

Yozara was used to how Rein talked and just nodded. The little Fox still sat on Yozara l.a.p silently but it was ready to fight at any moment if things go bad. Rein pushed her into the cave while Graves was at Yozara side for protection. "Wait, my territory is picking up movement ahead. There seem to be about 10 no..... 48 rats up front!" Yozara was shocked and continued "There is a different type of rat with the group as well. There seem to be 3 of them!" Yozara face changed, she could sense the strength of these 3 rats, they were quite high!

Rein, who was next to Yozara noticed her change in expression, was the rats that strong? Rein wasn't too worried, Graves was really close to making a breakthrough to Iron Rank. Rein wasn't sure what the combat strength the other class rats would have, so pushed Yozara cautiously towards the place she sensed a presence from.

They finally arrived and saw an area full of rats. There was a mini water pool in the area as well, apparently, they used it from drinking water since 3 rats were drinking from it. They seemed oblivious to Yozara and Rein who was hiding.

Goodness, there are a lot of them! There are even more brown Rats here" Yozara skimmed the area as she said, she then continued. "The 3 new type are over there, looked Rein." Yozara pointed out the new type of rats. Rein looked over to see 3 rats of the same size. They were bigger than the brown rats, they were the size of a tiger back on earth. They had white fur with red eyes, surprisingly they wern't ugly like the brown and gray rats. Nevertheless, they were still intimidating, just look at how huge it was! Rein then used his ability to as usual appraise its strength.
