The Factory's Secret

After their discussion, Madd avoided Mike a little. She was just with Jo and Caro all the time and even when Mike tried to get her to go to the movies with him, she refused. Caro was getting pretty close to materialize the family, but still couldn't announce them yet. She decided to do that this afternoon, in the laboratory. She wanted her friends to be there, so she told them to be there at two o'clock. But for today's first period, they had music. Caro and Madd's least favorite subject. Caro preferred to think more and Madd just because she s.u.c.k.e.d at it. They just kept talking all the way and when the bell rang, everyone was as hungry as the other.

"I did another simulation last night and it works. My program is ready." Caro said.

"Have you found them an identity?" Jo asked.

"Yes, they'll keep their original names and be my cousins. Their parents were Canadian but let them go study here and communicate by correspondence. I even made a false letter from my parents to reccomend them." Caro said.

"Wow, very nice. Did you enter the files of Canada just to put them in the system?" Madd asked.

"Sure, everything is ready. They can all come when they are." Caro answered.

"They will be in our internship? In our class?" Mike asked.

"Yes and yes. I already sent the email letter from my parents whose I hacked email accounts. I wrote as an excuse : 'I want them to be in the same class as my daughter for them to know someone and not to be lonely.' " Caro even added.

"Wow that's perfectly organized. So we could materialize them now?" Madd suggested.

"No it's too risky. The principal didn't answer my email yet, so..." Caro started. But she was interrupted by a little 'Ding' coming from her phone.

"Let me guess. It was him?" Jo asked.

"Yes, he said 'This is perfect with me, please announce it to me when they arrive.' I can't believe it! We're all set! I just need to answer: 'Of course, my daughter will know then.' " Caro wrote back.

"But what if the program just works for one or two of them? We can never know." Madd asked.

"I'll just make them arrive later. There is a program in case this one doesn't work, but I will have to work harder to find it." Caro said.

"At dinner we will go announce the principal they are coming tomorrow." Caro said.

"I'll come with you." Mike said.

"Nice, but first, our math tests' results." Madd said before adding: "We have too much maths in our lives!"

In math, they all had good results again because after all, it was in that period they had been attacked by X.A.R.A. As Mrs. Flynn passed the test the friends had already received once, they just couldn't help it. They had to announce the family they were going to be materialized! In one hour or so, they would head to the factory. For now, MATHS! They kept on talking to each other, not listening to the teacher at all. When they talked about it, it seemed to them like it was yesterday they had found the supercomputer. Everything happened so fast! Within a month and a week, they had found an extremely dangerous person in the supercomputer wanting to kill them all, they found a family that lived on a virtual world called Aria for seventeen years and a materialization program to get them on Earth, which they still didn't know about.

As they were getting out of the math class, Jo called Mike, they ran to the secret trail and went to the factory. Now was the moment. They would get it done with X.A.R.A. Caro even made a manipulation list to activate the program. They got out of the sewers, ran in the laboratory and as Caro got installed in front of the super computer's desk, the three others were in the scanner room.

"Are you ready? Transfer Mike, Jo and Madd, scanners activated and verified, virtualization." Caro said, as usual, typing crazily.

"Good, they're all there Caro. So what did you want to tell us?" Luna asked.

"Well, I don't know how to tell you that, but I found a materialization program!" said Caro as Luna transmitted to her brother and sisters.

"She found the materialization's key!" she said with a big smile.

They all stood there looking at Luna weirdly and after a minute everybody started to scream their happiness.

"I can't believe you did it Caro!" Luna said.
