The Factory's Secret

Lena and Luna run out from the ice cream place and Jo goes directly to the factory instead of going to see Caro. Madd arrived in the sewers not long after.

"Why does X.A.R.A. keep doing that?" Madd asked

"I don't know. He never does anything without a reason. I'll be relaxed a lot more when you'll have deactivated the tower." Caro answered.

They got out of the sewers by the little trap in front of the small bridge giving entry on the factory.

"Come on! Come on!" Caro kept yelling.

They got in the scanners. Luna, Lena and Madd went first.

"Scanner activated for all. Transfer and virtualization. You can go Jo." she said at the same time as finishing typing the procedure.

Jo entered the scanner and Caro repeated the typing formula. There were just turtles. Almost fifty turtles. They kept a minute observing the monsters, the monsters looking at them.

"X.A.R.A. is winning time you have to pass with force!" Caro screamed in her microphone.

"Sound balloon." Madd said as a transparent balloon floated up in the orangey sky of Aria.

The balloon exploded, creating plenty of smaller ones getting down. When one touched the monster, it was destructed.

"Wow! How come?"Jo asked.

"When it touches you, you hear a really high sound right in your ear." Madd explained.

Jo used his powers as well, his lance getting small. He pitched the lance and right before touching the turtle, it grew. It touched the shell of the turtle behind. At that moment Xuli arrived and tried to access the tower. They were too close to it. Even if he ran, the turtles could still have time to devirtualize him. So he put a sand vortex in the block of monsters and ran. Two turtles turned, but Xuli was able to access the tower before the turtle even shot. The halo of the tower became black and the return in the past program was logged off the automatical launch. Caro backed her chair and lifted her arms in the air in order to stretch.

"Well. I'm still tired." she said to them.

Later that day, Caro was still working on the submarine with Luna and Lena, but the two girls could just think about the discovery they had made about the other supercomputer.

"Are you okay?" Caro asked.

"Are you? You seem tired." Lena said.

"Yes, I'm fine." Caro said.

But in her head, all she could hear and say was 'Sleep'. But she couldn't. She had promised herslef to do that part of the wing today. But when Caro fell asleep on her keyboard, as she called it now, the girls knew it was enough for her. They woke her up after a little time and went back to college. They said good night and went to bed. Caro would work tomorrow on the submarine. She kept on saying it wasn't going to take six months and she'd be finished in a couple weeks. With all the nights she spent in the factory, it was easily understandable that she'd finish early.

Luna and Lena had made a pact to never talk about the other supercomputer and they went back there as soon as they had a free time. They verified there was no one in the room before descending the elevator. Once, they arrived and found something bad. Really bad. There were scanners in construction. They hadn't seen the first times because the access is hidden too. It's a specific code to type at a specific space on the supercomputer. It was quite worrying because even if they had found no trace from X.A.R.A. on the virtual world, they both knew these circuits were dangerous and decided to go another time with a knife. That time would come tomorrow. They agreed about the pact ending after sabotaging the unfunctional scanners. It was curious because except the twins' parents nobody knew it was possible to create a miniaturized virtual world with high quality and three dimensions graphics. Maybe someone else discovered it after or someone was still researching for that possibility and still wasn't sure about the reality of it being possible.
