"Ah...Ah...Ah" The sound of someone heavily breathing could be heard in the middle of the forest.

It was a very dark night. In the middle of the forest, the silhouette of a person could be seen.

He was kneeling with his hand clutching in his c.h.e.s.t while trying to breath.

The young boy was covered in injuries from head to toe. Deep cuts that were possible to see even the bones. Blood gushed out of the wounds. The young boy gritted his teeth in pain.

The boy was a handsome young male human with pitch black hair and golden eyes. Even though he was young his body fit and had a lot of muscles.

Calm and steady footsteps could be heard approaching the young man.

From the shadow of a towering tree, a beautiful young girl emerged.

The girl was evidently older than the boy since she was a head higher than him and she had an air of maturity. From the height and the development of her body, it could be seen that she was no older than 13 years old. She had a smooth black hair that reflected the moonlight, and a silky, white, porcelain skin. Her pretty and delicate face was completely cold and expressionless. She looked like a knight in her gothic, white full plate armor and wielding two golden swords.

She and he were very alike. He was just like a male miniature of her.

She approached the petite young boy with her swords that were covered with his blood. She stopped walking only after she was standing right next to him. She placed her sword near his neck and calmly said, "You've lost." Her voice was melodious and calm, "Now...what are you going to do?"

"Hehehehehe..."The young boy kept his head lowered when he grinned.

"HAHAHAHAHA..." Then he started to maniacally laugh, "You think you are so powerful? You think you are better than me just because you won? I AM A DEVINE CHILD. I AM THE CHOSEN ONE." He shouted.

He raised his head, in his face was a hideous and ruthless smile, "You have won this time, but when I come back, I am going to kill you and all those bastards old geezers." After he finished his monologue, he took a cubical object and smashed it, breaking it into pieces. His smile became wider, but soon his expression froze, "What the..."

"Do you think I'm going to let you use a Teleportation Stone?" The girl's voice was even colder than before.

She gazed at fallen prodigy in front of her at felt pity and unwillingness surging in her heart. Shaking the unnecessary thoughts and emotions away she made a few strange symbols with her hand that had started to glow. "You have fallen to this degree. The family has decided that someone vicious and inhuman as you shall not be part of the family."

The boy tried to move, yet any part of his body was able to move besides his head. "You..." He gritted his teeth in anger. "Heh, I am way too good for them. Once I claim the power that is rightful mine I going to come back and wash the family in blood. HAHAHAHAHA!" He scorned and laughed. "You can't kill me because it's against the sacred rules of the family." He smiled gleefully.

The only reason he dared to say too much was because he knew the rules of the family and thus, even though was impossible to him to leave unscathed, he was going to be kept alive and then he would still have the chance to come back and achieve his vengeance.

"By the authority that was given to me by the consul of elders from the Lumine family..." She coldly gazed at the miserable and hysterical boy in front of her as she began to loudly say the next sentences. "I, Ciri Lumine, hereby sentence Neo Lumine to be exiled from the family, and from the orders given by the head of the family I, also, sentence you to have your soul crippled."

Being exiled of the family was something Neo expected, but the thought of being sentenced to have his soul being crippled, it never went across his mind.

Having the soul crippled was a fate worse than death for Ancardians. If their soul were crippled they lose all their magical powers they have trained in their entire life and it would become impossible to cultivate magic once again.

He never would have thought that the head of the family, his father, would send such order, "What... That's impossi-"

Before he could argue, Ciri pressed one of her palms in his c.h.e.s.t and with the other hand, she made some fast and mysterious symbols that formed in a spell.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!" Neo bellowed in agonizing pain.

The pain of having the soul crippled was a hundred times worse than any other pain that he ever felt before, "Damn you Ciri, damn that f.u.c.k.i.n.g elders, DAMN THIS F.U.C.K.I.N.G FAMILY." He cried in pain. His eyes became bloodshot like a demon's eyes, "I will never forget what you've done!! I WILL COME BACK AND WHEN I DO, IT IS GOING TO BE YOUR DOOM!!!" After he shouted at the top of his lungs he lost all his remain energy and fainted.

Ciri looked even more white after she finished the process of crippling Neo's soul. She looked at the fainted boy. Her eyes showed a storm of complicated emotions, sadness, unwillingness, pity and caring.

A single tear formed at the corner of her eyes before she hastily took it away and returned to her expressionless face.

"Miss..." A person clad in tight black clothes suddenly appeared beside Ciri.

"It's done. Let's go." She turned away from the young boy and steadily started to walk away.

The newcomer shifted her eyes between the boy and the girl, "Excuse me if it might sound impolite, but I have to ask. It's worth it? I mean pleading for the family head to not kill him?"

Ciri stopped in her track and raised her head to look at the dark sky, "Even though he ended up with this twisted personality and vicious mindset, he still is my younger brother." She sadly sighed. "It isn't all his fault that he became like this. The family has some fault too. I'm just giving him a last chance to try to change himself. If he miraculous recover his strength and come back to revenge, I fear... Father is going to kill him despite Neo being his son." She turned her head and glared at the black-clothed person. "Neo become too vicious and ruthless. Father would never have the heart to kill his own son, but to protect the family and avoid possible troubles in the future it's probable that he would kill him." After Ciri spoke, she walked away.

Looking at the lonely and desolate silhouette of Ciri walking away the black-clothed person sighed and threw a glance at the boy, "Look at what you have become. If you don't want to change for yourself, at least change for those who still care about you." She softly said and then disappeared.
