The God System

They walked into the guild and noticed that it was not very crowded at all, and there seemed to be a lounge where a few people were lying on couches reading books.

Abel walked straight to the front desk as he wanted to ask about books on Magic items.

The person at the front desk was a gorgeous woman wearing a blue robe. She had glasses on with a small chain that went around her neck like a necklace, so she could take them off without losing them.

Most people think that glasses do not make a woman look good, but Abel could not see the problem with them, as this woman was still beautiful even with the glasses, and they may have even accentuated her beauty.

"Hello, I was just wondering about whether or not the Library in here is for public use, as we need to do some research," Abel asked the woman.

She peered at him through her glasses and said: "It is only available for members of the Magician's Guild."

Abel nodded and said, "Okay, how does one become a member?"

She looked him up and down and said "First off you need to be a Magician"

"Oh, I'm not the one signing up," Abel said as he took a few steps back and pushed Mary in front of him "She is".

The woman looked at Mary, and her eyes brightened a bit, and she said "She does have the talent to be a magician, but she does not have the profession yet"

"You can see her profession?" Abel asked curiously.

"Of course, I have the appraisal skill," she said with pride in her voice. "Anyways, come back once she becomes a Magician, and she can take a test to then be accepted as a member of the Magician's Guild. She had three chances to pass before she is forbidden from testing again".

Abel was bummed out that they could not check out the Magician's Guild Library, but he decided to later make Mary a part of it for him, and then she could do the research in his place.

"Alright, thanks for the help," Abel said as he led Mary out of the Magician's Guild, and as he was leaving he heard a few rude remarks, but he ignored it as it wasn't worth the trouble.

Mary, however, was very angry that people were making fun of Abel and wanted to charge back inside to go teach them a lesson, but due to Abel strong grip on her arm she was unable to go back inside, and could only clench her fists in anger as she glared at the group that was making fun of him.

It was a small group of three that were all in matching red clothes that had a diamond insignia on the c.h.e.s.t, and they taunted Abel for coming into the Magician's guild, even though he was not even a magician.

"Too stupid to know the Magician's Guild is for magicians huh?"

"Bah, he will never amount to anything anyways, except flirting around with beautiful women with that face of his."

"Yeah, he is just a pretty boy" The group kept taunting as Mary and Abel left.

"We can not beat them in a fight, Mary, just let it go. You can come back and teach them a lesson when you are stronger than them". Abel said once they exited the building.
