The God System

Mary and Abel were back out in the forest hunting for goblins and Manalasis Herbs.

They still needed one more goblin to kill, and they needed a pound of Manalasis Herb in order to finish both of the quests.

Abel pushed bushes that were blocking his face and stepped under low swaying branches in order to get through the dense forest, he noticed that the trees got thicker the closer he got to the center of the forest, but he was not worried as most monsters here were really weak.

However, he seemed to ignore the fact that even those really weak monsters posed a challenge for him, who was only Level 2 since yesterday.

He leveled up after killing the four goblins and now was Level 2. He did not gain any new skills though and had to buy some with his DP which he thought was unfortunate. Mary, however, was able to gain her profession after that fight, and now was an official Support Magician, so when they went back to Zalfari she could read the books in the Magician's Guild library.

She also learned a few new skills after her profession change and would be a lot more helpful in the fights now that her arsenal was loaded with more ammunition so to speak.

Abel crouched low when as he heard something crunching branches as it moved through the forest, and peered through leaves to look at what it was.

He drew his swords and saw that it was just a deer, so he frowned and stood up, however when he noticed what the deer was about to eat he freaked out. It was bent over about to start munching on some blue plants with pointed leaves.

He yelled at the deer trying to scare it, as it was trying to eat HIS Manalasis Herbs! The deer however just ignored him and started to munch on the Herbs.

Abel sprinted towards the deer as he yelled to Mary "Put it to sleep!" Mary cast her [Slumber Trance] on the deer, but it shook it off as it stopped eating and looked up to Abel charging at it.

It snorted at Abel and tried to look threatening as it wanted Abel to let it eat not wanting to get into a fight.

Abel however, was having none of it, as he needed the Manalasis Herb's it was eating so he decided to kill it.

Mary shouted "[Support Magic・Speed Reduction]" as she cast it onto the deer. Abel sliced away branches that were in his way as he lept to slash at the deer.

Surprisingly the deer decided not to run away and instead lifted its back leg as it wanted to kick Abel.

Abel dodged the deer's kick just in time, nearly having one of his arms broken, as the kick looked very powerful.

The deer turned around so now the two were facing each other, and neither wanted to back down, but both wanting the other to leave so they could have the Manalasis Herbs.
