The Gods' Decree

Chapter 343 - Arrival

Her eyes opened, and her face was calm as she looked at the man. It was the Crow Mountain Sect's number one genius Alphanso.

"Would you care for a spar?" she asked.

Alphanso smiled; he would never have thought that Niesha would be the one to initiate the spar. But he was glad that he first, the trash from the blue mountain sect.

Niesha knew there would be many like Alphanso, so she simply cut through the banter and got right to the act. Besides, there were a few moves in need of practice, and she might have found the right guinea pig. The two made their way to an open field.

While walking over, Alphanso gave a taunting look to the number one genius from the Blue Mountain and mouthed, "You're next."

The one he taunted was Deco, who scuffed. Alphanso's wild nature summed up why they disliked the Crows. They believed in a more wholesome approach to things while the Crows acted like savages.

He, too, wanted a Spar with Neisha but felt it best to wait until after they were properly acquainted.

Alphonso menacingly chuckled as he summoned a thick black chain to his hand. Flames then shrouded his arms before engulfing the chain as they glowed red from the heat. Meanwhile, Neisha calmly waited with the giant broadsword on her back.

"I'll try and take it easy on you, pretty," he ridiculed Neisha. Still, she didn't make a sound, "Not a talker, huh? That I  won't mind changing."

He began to weave the smelting hot red chains attacking Neisha.

WAP! WAP!—The chain ripped throw the ground as Niesha dodged. But Alphanso just smirked; he was simply warming up. The speed at which he weaved the chains increased tenfold; he had Niesha like A puppet on a string as she could only dodge.

"Dance for me, my beauty!" he jeered, riling up his audience. Those from the crow mountain could only mock the disciple from Dark Abylis Sect. The fact that he had Neisha at his whim summed up the rumours of perfect—Lies.

"Next time, focus on your skills and less on rumours," said one woman. Those from the Dark Abylis Sect did not seem phased. Instead, they looked at the woman and the others from the crow as though they were idiots.

She, alongside the others, found this puzzling. Why were they so confident in this girl who only came onto the scene three years ago?

🌟Ways of the sword (Wind) Burst🌟

Alphanso was speechless; his chain was chopped to pieces, link by link and a broadsword braced against his Adam's apple. If he were to merely gulp, his head could be lobbed off.

Neisha stood behind him and held the blade to his throat while there was silence.

"I expected more with all that talking," she whispered in his air.

When she unleashed her attack, Her sword movements were so fast Alphanso could not react in time. He was disarmed in under a second, and the blade was pressed against his throat.

He immediately relinquished the flames, and his hand was placed in the air showing his surrender. It was the most humiliating moment of his life, being beaten so quickly by someone from another sect. What made it worse was that it happened before his archenemy Deco. .

Deco, however, did not gloat; he was in shock because Niesha's move could not be seen through. He had an idea of the move used, it was undoubtedly a defining motion, but that meant it had surpassed his current level, which was the third (Hard and Soft Defining motion). Which told him he would have suffered the same fate as Alfanso.

Could it be the fourth Motion (Burst)?

The burst defining motion increased the speed and force upwards of five to ten times the original velocity. He couldn't fathom the thought because to learn the fourth one would have to have a lord realm understanding of the elements.

But the fact that he could not track the sword movements with his eyes made this the only reasonable explanation.

"This girl?" he muttered under his breath.

"Does anyone else care for a spar?" asked Niesha while sheathing the broadsword. She looked to the Crows, but none moved; Alfanso was their strongest. Niesha then turned to those from the blue mountains, and they too looked away.

"If anyone changes their mind, you all know where to find me," she said.

Niesha then made her way back to the wall where she sat and closed her eyes.

As the day went on, the other guests of the Dark Abylis Sect kept arriving. It was by no means a surprise that the sects from the Meng province took a while to arrive. Their journey and they had set out from the night before.

All were powerful in the Meng province and had long histories to rival the Dark Abylis Sect. They went by the names the Scarlet Sect, Daybreak Sect and Waterway Sect.

"Salber, how are you, my friend?" laughter could be heard from a burly man.

It was the leader of the Waterway Sect. His name was Aquin, his hair was oddly blue, the same as his pupils. He was the most down-to-earth and likeable character of all the sect heads in the three provinces.

"Aquin, only you could bring a smile in these turbulent times. I'm doing amazing, my friend," replied Salber as he embraced Aquin.

"Good, good, where are those old saps? Late, as usual, are they? " asked Aquin.

He then rebuked the tardiness of the other sect heads, "Imagine the whole world is going to the dogs, and they couldn't be bothered to arrive early to a meeting that perhaps would decide everyone's fate."

As he spoke, Aquin drank from a flask but saw Salber chuckling. He then awkwardly asked, "Am I the last one to arrive?"

"You sure are my friend," Laughed Salber. At first, he didn't have the heart to tell the old man but knew he would find out eventually.

"Let's pretend that did not just happen," he said while scratching his greying head.

"What?" joked Salber.

Aquin winked and pointed, "Precisely."

"Let's go and join the others," voiced Salber. He knew how Sect heads could be. There was nothing more infuriating than having to wait on others.

"Wait for a second, Salber," requested Aquin.

Salber: What's the matter?

Aquin: I just want to let you know I fully support this alliance. Only through a joined union can this threat be annihilated.

Salber smiled, hearing the old man's words. For the alliance to succeed, all needed to be in full agreement.. It was nice to know that the Waterway Sect was already in consensus.
