The Grey Wizard of Hogwarts

: Summary at the end of the volume 1

This volume is finished.

Well, there was a small problem in the middle. Many people didn't like the section about resurrecting the avatar, and the grades dropped drastically.

After hesitating for a while, I finally chose to cut this plot, and try to integrate some key content that I wanted to express into the subsequent chapters as much as possible.

So far, it's not bad, and the results have improved again.

I have always cared about the feedback from readers on novels. The most interesting thing about writing online articles is the interactive way in which readers and authors promote each other and work together to push the entire story world picture scroll.

In this volume, book lovers have two relatively big problems: 1. There is no new interesting magic, 2. It involves repeated thinking about oneself.

Regarding the first question,

In fact, it has already been mentioned at the end of the previous volume. This volume is a summary of all the previously written content, and once again promotes changes in the entire magical world and expands it again.

Magic theory, some people like it, some people skip it, but that's what this novel is all about.

But I wrote too much before, so I need to have a good summary, turn it into various details and integrate it into the plot, and explain it clearly to book friends, so that Anton can continue to walk on the road of magic.

In the previous volumes, spells have always been used as the main line of the entire volume, only this volume is an exception.

The main thread of this volume is the exploration of self.

That is the second question mentioned by book friends, repeated thinking about oneself.

A concluding volume, of course, is to give a final elaboration on this 'self-thinking'.

From the research of "soul" to the research of "body" and "magic blood", Anton has laid his own unique foundation and completed the exploration of "inner".

The next step is "outside". After understanding oneself, one will naturally begin to have a desire to explore the outside world.

Let me add here why Anton spent two and a half years exploring inward during his seven-year student career.

In fact, there is still my own set of arguments here.

Before writing this novel, I have been thinking about a question, how to write a "wizard" character.

This is a very novel exploration for me. After thinking about many ways, I finally came up with the method of "Reverse Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory".

Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory divides the basic needs of human beings into 5 levels:

Physiological needs (such as having something to eat), safety needs, social needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs.

The theory states that low-level needs dominate people's motivation when they are not met. Only when it is properly satisfied, a high-level need can attract attention.

In the words of our ancestors, it is actually: When you are full of food and think about sex, when you can't afford food, don't talk about it.

So I arranged for Anton to have a teacher, the old wizard Fiennes—hardened his mind, exhausted his muscles and bones, starved his body, emptied his body, and disturbed his actions.

so,

Be tempted and forbearance, once benefited what it couldn't do.

See, after transcending life and death, Anton didn't even care about the most basic needs, and jumped to the highest level of "self-actualization needs".

Under this level of needs, he may not want to eat, sleep, money, power, and fame, and he may not be afraid of life and death, and achieve a unique state of "incomplete seeker" who is selfless and selfless.

I think that the characters written in this way have a bit of a wizard flavor.

Well, this reverse demand theory that I messed around with myself, if written in this way, after Anton satisfies the "need for self-actualization", he will develop towards the next level of "need for respect", or even a lower level. Level 'social needs', 'safety needs', 'physiological needs'.

Applied to this story, it is a story of "exploring internally" to understand oneself, and then starting to "explore externally".

So, the next volume is a new beginning, I named the volume "The Magical World", let us start from the life of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Thank you for your continuous support, thank you for reading, thank you for your comments, votes, rewards, and suggestions.
