When the party of three left the forest, they found a place to sit down and have a chat. Lin Feng was the first to sit down on the grass as Ling Yating sat down next to him, while Xia Yazhu sat across from him.

"Erm this fairy, can you tell me about this world?" Lin Feng asked.

"Yating or Ting er, your choice" Ling Yating replied to him with a frown. "Sorry, what?" Lin Feng asked as if he didn't hear clearly.

"Make your choice" she added.

"Erm, Ya… Yating, can you tell me about this world?" Lin Feng asked again. Hearing that Lin Feng fixed the way he addressed her, Ling Yating's expression became much softer and gentle as she answered him.

"What do you know currently?" she asked him. "Uh, pretty much nothing" he replied to her question.

"I see, we are currently on the Tiandi Continent which is one of the many worlds that is part of the Great Thousand Worlds"

"The continent is extremely vast being over one hundred thousand Li, it is separated into five states being the North, South, East, West and Central State with each state consisting of dozens or even hundreds of kingdoms"

"We are currently in a small part of the Northern Cloud Kingdom"

"The Spirit race lives far from the Tiandi Continent being in a world of its own. The Great Thousand Worlds are split into Lower realms, Middle realms and Upper realms. We of the Spirit race being the favored sons and daughters of heaven are high up even in the Upper realms" Ling Yating said with pride.

"There are many races in the Great Thousand Worlds, they are the Spirit race, Demon race, Demonic Beast race, Stone Golem race, Treant race, Ghost race and finally Humans"

"Oh no need to go over the cultivation realms, I know about those" Lin Feng interjected suddenly.

Ling Yating nodded as she heard what he said. "Is there anything else you would like to know?" she asked him.

"Well, there is one… Why is someone of the Spirit Race down here in the Tiandi Continent?" Lin Feng asked with genuine curiosity.

"That… You do not need to know, however, one day I will bring you back to my home and introduce you to my parents as my husband" Ling Yating replied as she brushed off his question.

"Hmm, she must have her own reasons for not telling me even though I'm her husband-to-be," Lin Feng thought.

"Oh right, I forgot to introduce you two. This is Xia Yazhu, Yazhu, this is Ling Yating… In the future she will be your mistress" Lin Feng introduced as he began to have a headache from thinking about his situation.

The two women nodded as they briefly looked at each other before turning away and completely ignoring each other. Seeing this, Lin Feng could only wave the white flag and surrender.

"Xiao Ming, can you show me Ling Yating's stats?" Lin Feng asked the system.

"Sure" Xiao Ming replied.

"Xiao Ming, remind me not to mess with her" Lin Feng thought.

"Husband, what's wrong?" Ling Yating asked him seeing that he was blanking out during their conversation.

"Huh? Oh, nothing's wrong" he replied as he regained his attention. "Yating, do you know where the closest town is?" he asked her.

"Before I came here, I had bought a map of the kingdom. The closest town is roughly 100 Li away. There is an inn we can stay at if I recall one of the sects called the Flying Tiger Sect is recruiting disciples in town. I suggest you join the sect and gain cultivation resources to grow stronger" Ling Yating suggested.

Lin Feng nodded as he thought her suggestion is reasonable. Obviously, Xia Yazhu had no opinion regarding his choice since he is her master. "Oh right, Yating, do you happen to have two veils? I think it's better for both of you to wear a veil" he suddenly thought.

"If others were to see their faces, who knows what trouble they would bring to me" Lin Feng thought to himself.

Without replying, two veils appeared from Ling Yating's ring. "Must be a spatial ring" Lin Feng thought as she wore her own veil after passing the other veil to Xia Yazhu.

"Hmm, isn't it kinda strange that the veils happen to match the color of their clothes?" Lin Feng thought. Ling Yating wore green from head to toe while Xia Yazhu is dressed in blue while the veils happen to be matching their clothes.

As if she could read his mind, Ling Yating said, "I have many veils in my spatial ring of different colors"

"Oh" he replied.

"What the f*ck? Did she just read my mind? That's kinda cool and freaky at the same time" he thought.

Suddenly, his stomach rumbled as he awkwardly smiled and looked at the two women. "Hahaha, that's embarrassing" he said with his right hand behind his head.

Suddenly, a large corpse of a boar appeared beside him with a loud thud as well as wood stacked up neatly to form a fireplace. Ling Yating moved as the huge boar suddenly got sliced into smaller parts as the flame lit up in the fireplace while she started grilling the boar meat nonchalantly.

After the boar meat was cooked, Ling Yating handed a part of its leg to Lin Feng and one to Xia Yazhu before grabbing one for herself. Taking a bite out of the juicy looking meat, Lin Feng chewed a couple of times before swallowing.

"How is it?" Ling Yating asked him. "Delicious! This is the best grilled meat I've ever eaten!" he replied as he continued munching away at the boar leg. As he ate, he didn't notice her expression that clearly displayed joy as she ate her portion of the meat.

After finishing their meal, Ling Yating stored the remains of the boar in her spatial ring as she brought out a couple of bottles of water to clean their hands and clench their thirst. "Ah, nothing better than eating good meat" Lin Feng said softly.

"Alright let's go now" he told the two women.

"En" they replied as the three of them headed for the direction of the closest town. It wasn't until a couple of hours later did they arrive, Ling Yating had to wait for Lin Feng and Xia Yazhu as she has a superior cultivation base while Lin Feng didn't even know a movement skill.

By the time the three of them arrived, it was already late in the evening. Entering the town, Lin Feng noticed many stalls open while children roamed the busy streets followed by their parents.

Ling Yating lead the way to the inn as Lin Feng and Xia Yazhu followed her. Even though he didn't want to attract attention to his group, evidently it did not work out. It was strange for the citizens to see two females wearing veils while walking beside a handsome youth.

Some of them even wondered which of the great sects the three of them came from. When they entered the inn, Lin Feng said as they arrived at the reception table, "I'd like three rooms and a table for three" as Ling Yating placed money on the table.

"My apologies sir, our inn has been busy thanks to many visitors hoping to get a chance to join the Flying Tiger Sect" the man with a mustache at the front desk replied as he apologized.

"Erm, then two rooms?" Lin Feng asked. "My apologies sir, we only have one room left" the man replied with an apologetic look. "But sir, is it not fine for you to stay in the same room as both your wives?" he then said.

Cough! Cough!

Hearing this, Lin Feng almost choked while Ling Yating's face became red underneath her veil. "My wives? Erm, yea something like that" he replied as he coughed a couple of times.

"One room it is then" Lin Feng agreed. "Once again, I am extremely sorry, dear guest" the man apologized again as he called someone to bring them to a table. "Waiter! Table for three!" he shouted.

Shortly afterward, a young man in his twenties lead the three of them to a table located near the stairs that lead to the guest rooms.

The waiter stayed by their table and poured them a cup of tea each as he waited for their order. Looking at the menu, Lin Feng ordered a couple of side dishes since they had just eaten earlier and was still somewhat full.

After noting down their orders, the waiter left to inform the kitchen of their order. Lin Feng then listened to the others around him talking.

"Haha! I brought my son here today with me, once he enters the Flying Tiger Sect and becomes a disciple, I will be able to rejoin my clan!" a middle-aged guest said to one of his friends at the same table.

"You're dreaming! There will be many hidden dragons and crouching tigers who want to enter the Flying Tiger Sect, what makes you think your son who is only at the Middle Purification stage qualified for entry?" his friend laughed.

"Pfft, you don't know anything! There are no requirements for cultivation levels to join the Flying Tiger Sect! There is a test that measures the talent of individuals, I don't know how it works but if you pass the minimum requirement, anybody can join as long as they are under twenty years old!" the guest who boasted of his own son replied.

"Really? That means my son may have a chance as well!" his friend added. "Hahaha, if both our sons manage to enter, let us celebrate at my place!"

"Sure! Hahahaha!"

"I see, so its a test that measures talent, I guess it makes sense. It's quite common in novels" Lin Feng thought as he stopped listening to the other guest's talk.

After a while, their side dishes arrived as Lin Feng thanked the waiter and gave him a tip. Lin Feng ate the dishes without worry while Ling Yating and Xia Yazhu ate slowly under their veils.

Bam!

Suddenly, a loud thud could be heard from one of the tables in the inn. A middle-aged man who is clearly angry slapped the table so hard it broke as the food along with the table fell to the ground creating a massive mess.

The attention of the entire inn was drawn to the particular table.

"You! Say that again!" the man who broke the table shouted at the man in front of him. "What? Am I wrong?" the man sitting opposite to the one who had broken the table replied without changing his expression.

"If you want to save your daughter, I suggest you follow my instructions" the man continued. "Forget it!" the other man shouted as he walked to the front table and paid for the table along with his meal.

Suddenly, two figures appeared by the table as one of them said, "Who's here creating trouble for the Golden Swan Inn?"

"Hmph, no one is creating trouble. The furniture has been paid for, so off you go" the man replied as the two figures glared at him before turning into shadows and disappearing.

From behind the man, two different figures who are at the Human Yuan stage appeared. Lin Feng paid attention to the words of the man hearing his entire conversation with the two men. "Go get him and make sure to break his two legs, bring his daughter to me so I can play with her" he told them as the two figures nodded and disappeared.

Lin Feng frowned as he faced Ling Yating who had naturally heard what he had heard. "Yating, can you deal with them?" he asked her.

"Of course" Ling Yating replied with a chilly voice as she remembered the man's words. Lin Feng was no longer in the mood to enjoy his meal as the three of them left the inn, "We'll be back" Lin Feng told the man at the front desk as the trio followed the two men.

The two figures had caught up to the middle-aged man who had been angered by the chubby man from the inn. Hearing people behind him, he turned around to face them. "Who are you? Are you with him?" he asked.

"Heh, for a mortal you sure are sharp" one of the figures replied. "Enough talking, cripple him!" the other figure said as the two men dashed towards the middle-aged man.
