The Heavenly Crystal

The next morning, Ayesha and the other ladies were shocked to see more than ten women sleeping on the beds that were placed in the living room.

"Who are these women?" asked Athena in confusion.

"Let's go and ask Roan, something might have happened after the invasion of those men last night." said Ayesha towards them. The rest of the ladies nodded their heads and followed her outside the mansion to find Roan and the others.

Outside the mansion they saw Roan talking with Karl. "Roan, what happened last night? Why are there women in the living room?" Ayesha asked as they looked at Roan. Karl already knew the reason for that, so he just moved aside.

"After the attack last night, I ordered Mark to release one of the men and asked him to follow the guy..." he told the ladies all the things he learned from Mark's visit in the subdivision.

The ladies' countenance turned pale after hearing the story. They all felt pity for what those women experienced inside the subdivision and they thanked their lucky stars that they were saved Roan and not by someone else.

"Where are Mark and the others?" asked Janrose worriedly.

"I ordered Mark and Terrius to help the guys boost their levels." he answered with no change in his tone.

The ladies' eyes twinkled at the thought of boosting their levels as well. In this apocalyptic world, their beauty will no longer be useful and will instead be a hindrance. So the thought of being able to strengthen themselves made them excited.

"Roan, I also want to go boost my level!" said Athena excitedly. The rest of the ladies looked at him with gliterring eyes.

Roan looked at them impassively and answered "Don't worry. I already planned on doing that. Mark and the others should be back by noon and it will be your turn to boost your level. As for your safety, I will personally go with Karl to make sure nothing will go wrong."

The women grew excited after hearing his answer and they all jumped in joy.

"Thank you so much Roan, Karl." they all thanked them with huge smiles on their beautiful faces.

"By the way, cook the beast we brought last night. We discovered that we will gain a few stat points from eating them." Roan said as he looked at their excited faces.

"Yes, don't worry we will cook a delicous stewed beast for you guys." said Janrose who was the best cook among the women.

Roan nodded his head lightly and proceeded with practicing his sword.

He heard a series of notifications every once in a while as he continued practicing his Sword Mastery which has already reached the Diamond level. His Sword Talent played a big role in the astonishing growth of his sword skills.

Karl looked at his friend in admiration and also began practicing his archery.

Somewhere near the periphery of Ridge City, several young men can be seen killing beasts and undeads.

"Tristan, look at your surroundings first before rushing forward. Don't move blindly or you will be scratched by the undeads!" Mark shouted towards Tristan who was slashing his sword blindly.

"They are all doing great except for Tristan, but he should be able to do better after a few more practices." Terrius said as he studied their friends' progress. Mark just nodded his head in response.

"One more hour before we end today's leveling." Terrius shouted loudly towards them.

"Finally, we can have a rest in an hour." said Tristan with a sigh of relief.

"If only we can stay for a few more hours to continue leveling up." Tyron said as he slashed a small beast in half.

"Yes, how good would it be." answered the others, while Tristan looked at them and rolled his eyes.

"Raaawwrr!" they heard a loud rawr and looked towards the direction of the shout. They saw a huge silhouette moving towards them.

"It looks like we will be eating grilled boar for dinner! Haha!' laughed Terrius loudly while unsheathing his gigantic heavy sword. Mark just smiled in response and thought 'Poor beast. You will become food for dinner.'

"The rest of you, move back for now!" Terrius shouted towards the others.

They also saw the huge beast coming towards them and hastily moved back after hearing Terrius' shout.

"What a huge boar! If I could kill that beast, my level will surely go up several times." Ford said with excitement. The others looked at him like they were looking at an idiot.

"Do you know how strong that beast is? Do you even know how to use your brain?" mocked Tyron jokingly. The others laughed after hearing that while Ford scratched the back of his head and forced a smile.

The boar charged towards them with great speed, angered by their nonchalant expressions.

"Come my grilled boar! Haha!" shouted Terrius excitedly while similarly rushing towards the beast with his huge shield in front of him and pointing his heavy sword towards the beast. The boar was shock to know that a human was brave enough to charge towards it. The boar grew more angry at the thought and charged with more stength. It rammed Terrius shield like a tank and pushed Terrius back by two steps. Terrius used his Battle Cry to scare the beast off and smashed his huge shield on its face. The boar was knocked out from that shield attack and Terrius hurriedly slashed the boar with his gigantic heavy sword. Its huge head was decapitated off of its body and a fountain of blood splashed on the ground.

"Haha! You guys must help me grill this huge boar for dinner!" Terrius laughed loudly as he sheathed his heavy sword on his back. Their jaws dropped at the overwhelming victory. They thought that the beast will last for several dozen minutes before Terrius will be able to kill it. They never thought that he will be able to kill the beast in less than a minute.

Mark smiled at the scene like he already expected it and said "It's time to go back." The guys nodded their heads begrudgingly, while Tristan whistled happily.
